Ancient Egypt was known by more than one name, kmt means the black land in reference to the furtile nile area, another name was dshret which refered to the desert part. Neither refers to the skin color of the people.
The Egyptians are a North Hamitic people. Brown skinned people, but not black like the Nubians..Then and today. This doesnt mean Nubians never lived in Egypt, not that there wasnt intermarriage, becuase there was.

Well in response to racist comments, I learned in anthropology at university that all of human kind can be traced back to the first human mother...an African woman. Racial superiority my ass. Humanity started with one black woman. Human kind is one race. We are all one species. Race and division only exists in our minds. Maybe 100s of years from now, we'll learn that. Humans are humans.
