  • DELL SUCKS!!!!

  • wow all the hot ladys must have been busy that day

  • that bitch doesnt know a good computer if it hit her in the face! i own a dell xps one and my isnt shit like she discribes it! (ps: i used my for HARD CORE SHIT GAMING!)

  • Computer sucks dont buy it

  • (XPS One Desktop PC (PRODUCT) RED-20" HD Widescreen, Intel® CoreTM2 Duo E4500, 8X Slot load CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW), 2GB2 Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM , 250GB3 Serial ATA 3Gb/s hd,Integrated Video, Integrated Audio - 2.0 Speakers,Genuine Windows Vista® Ultimate (PRODUCT) RED)

i wanna buy this PC but i need know if it a good PC for gaming cose im a gamer. Answer me plz

  • lmfao why dont u upgrade to nvidia geforce

  • Lol big? The 24" imac dwarfs it.

  • Ummm they sell that in 24" too, fuckhead :)

  • except that the 24" imac is cheaper and is of better quality. XPS still uses ddr2 memory.

  • ROFL That's like 3% increase in performance, man. You think that'd really matter? a 512MB NVIDIA card with DDR2 RAM compared to a 512MB NVIDIA card with DDR3 RAM won't be noticeably faster. Ask around...

  • There are different speeds within DDR2 and DDR3. So it's rather difficult to measure them both.

  • You didn't say anything about speeds. You just made that random jump and referred to DDR3 being faster. Yeh, it's got more available to it thanks to new technology, but like I said the increase is minimal, at best. My Linux box uses 667DDR2, and my uncle's Windows Vista/7 PC has DDR3 RAM, and you can't even tell. Far as I'm concerned... waste of cash.

  • For Macs, they take better advantage of memory. DDR3 can make a difference.

  • Okay now that just doesn't make much sense. Even if OS X is "lighter on RAM" than Vista/7, the same RAM config wouldn't really make a noticeable difference.

4GB DDR2 vs 4GB DDR3 on OS X would probably feel the same. I'd really like to verify that, too...

  • Except we're comparing PC vs Mac. So a mac running DDR3 would be noticeably better than a PC running DDR2

  • Maybe. I'm doubtful of it, to be honest, but maybe. I'd really like to see that benchmark test...

  • Yea; wonder if anyone bothered with a benchmark.

  • Doubt it. Personally I don't give a shit about the Mac VS Windows argument. People are gonna choose what they want, what they know, and what they can afford. Usually those aren't Apple computers. I've owned two, and I wasn't really all that impressed by either. New OS, sure, but Leopard was WAY MORE RAM/CPU heavy than Tiger, and that even annoyed me. If anybody denies that, they're lying through their teeth.

  • Good points. Not sure how SL compares to Leopard; but Snow Leopard gave me 50+ Gbs of hard disk space back. I bought SL for $10 btw.

  • I know Snow Leopard cleaned up and refined itself over Leopard, but my point is that newer OS's bring newer technologies, and newer technologies require more "power" to run. SL is not as snappy as Tiger, if I do say so myself. It can't be, really, what with all the new things it has over Tiger. I'm not saying it's "bloated" but compared to Tiger it is.

Windows 7 is going to make Vista look like Windows ME. Vista, in my experience, wasn't bad. Others had issues. I like 7 though.

  • wonder if i can see my dick in HQ

  • Lmao what the fuck xD

  • can desktop pc catch on fire?

  • Yes it can.

One time I entered home back from school and smelled something was burning. I went inside and it was my roommate's PC burning.

So be careful and try to take max precautions for your safety.

  • they tried to copy the iMac and they came up with this piece of crap dell as always FAILS

  • dell just made a new all in one with a touchscreen

you can buy it on their website now

  • Where is it?

I couldn't find any touch screen desktop under XPS computers.

  • it is on the studio line of their computers

  • m sorry but hp is the best.HP TOUCHSMART IS JUST the bast

  • I like mine alot, look at my review! i bought a external dvi box and bought a dvi splitter and incorporated 2 17 inch monitors along with the XPS!

  • windows 7 runs osx programs?

  • The imac is still better, im sorry im not going to wait for windows seven to come out when i already have it on my mac.

and how much does each one cost?

  • touchsmart that thing is 4 inches thick!

  • whats better hp touchsmart or dell xps one

  • touchsmart that thing is 4 inches thick!

  • touchsmart is way better , i think

i like how the HP one looks , very good looking , unlike this xps

  • hahahaha a british PREP!!!!

  • Hahaha fagget british people dont get BlueRay in their computers because they cant comprehend modern day technology.

  • We do, it is just in mid-range or higher PC's.

Also a Retail Blu-Ray drive costs just £74, around $148 with free shipping, and software, and nice goodies :).

It is your choice - cheap and cheerful, or expensive and lugged down with incompatible hardware?(most companies do this)

    Also consider the PS3. :)

  • dells best product to date

  • put the mac in a nice house and the this in a suburban home regular home

  • well u moved 6 inches and nothing happened!!! then the video got cut and another scene was introduced. This makes me think that the first time u tried, it ddnt work then u had to cut and redo it again OR maybe it's just that u wanted a close up shot; thats why u cut the video. which one is true? is that sensitive thing that dell brags about on this machine that reliable? works great? just curious to know.

  • No its just your piece of shit computer.

Are you still using your Commadore 64?

  • what do you mean you cant beat PCs? you are kidding right. imac leaves this lump of crap in the dust. macs now run at 3.06ghz now if you can find me a PC that does that you win not to mention that every mac now runs on 8 xenon core 2 duo processers. and plus macs are easier to use.spotlight feature so handy. type wat you want and within seconds you found iit

  • lol, I looked at Intel and Mac, and they do have Xeon cores(optional) but not 8 of them lol.

The ease of use is an oppinion.

Windows explorer finds things quickly, but crashes (only) on DELL systems.

    Also, a Mac is a PC(PC=Personal Computer).

Windows/Linux etc. Computers are going over

4/5Ghz when Intel moves to 32Nm.

Also, don't buy DELL, go buy something nicer that isn't made of junk!

  • 1. Dells rnt made of junk, they r very high quality

    2. Windows explorer don't crash on Dell but somehow vista always crashes in the 1st week but then is fine

    3. (for asskickerANDco) they dont acually run at 3.06 ghz, apple lie, they overclocked it but only on the test model, not the 1 that u get if u make the mistake of buying 1.

    4. Dell the all in 1 aint a gaming comp. so u don't need more than 2 gb or ram. any more is a waist of money.

  • Woops, the "junk" meant low-quality for it's price.

  • 1. Dells rnt made of junk, they r very high quality

  • A OS shouldnt crash at all...

  • that doesn't exist nowadays.

  • Lets see macs have a 1 in a million chnce of crashing and windows has a 9.9 in 10 chance. Wich ones better..?

  • PC because when a PC crashes it usually no big deal unless the problem is with the hardware (which isn't winows fault). just restart Windows. With a mac u usually need to reinstall the OS.

  • Agreeed, many manufactor's put together what sounds like an excellent machine, but all hardware is almost completely incompatible.

Also a Mac is a PC (PC=Personal Computer. It is just WAY easier to call it a PC or Mac instead of "Windows .... Computer" or "Mac OS.. Computer".).

  • Kizuki, you are right, but it is Customized by Dell, and this makes it unstable on many newer systems.

Vista, unmodified, is generaly a very stable OS, and can recover within itself, unlike XP.

A good way to get around Dell's modifications are formatting the HDD and installing a Genuine Microsoft Windows Vista from Microsoft.(buy it from most computer stores, like Currys(UK Store)or direct from them.)

  • Dell are great for this kinda thing - all in one.

BUT Dell customizes it's OS so that it is only usable on Dell systems.

Also, I know that Windows Explorer crashes on Dell systems a lot, because I am using one right now.

One lucky thing about Vista is that it recovers after every time you try to go on the control panel and the Explorer customized by Dell crashes.

An old Dell(Win98,Latitude CPt) runs well, does NOT crash, and is VERY high quality.

  • Ok, I admit somthing is missing from Dell that they used to have. I don't know wat but there is somthing. And I will also admit that windows explorer that Dell customized has crashed several times, but that was awhile ago and it hasn't happened since. and ur right, the older Dells r still my favorite comps of all time. My mom had 1 that ran windows 98 but unfortuatly she spilled coffee on it. god I miss it.

  • I know the feeling - something missing, but don't know what.

I must admit Dell have done a good job with the XPS One. I mean, one of the VERY few all in-one Windows Desktop PC's, and to a high standard.

One problem with Dell(the brand, not products) is the hardware support. 30-day warranty is NOT enough considering an Acer Aspire laptop includes a 3-year warranty.

AND when the adapter for the laptop gaveout less than a year after purchase, they didn't sell them :( - third party did :)

  • true enough but I will still remain loyal to Dell at least until; somthing really goes wrong with them. AT least with laptops because it would be really hard to custum build 1. As for desktops I think I will custum build my next. And y wont ppl understand that u dont need more than 2 gig ram unless u r want really hard core gaming or some typs of graphics design. And for that u dont need an all in 1.

  • you can still play games on it, but not intensive gaming, and most games don't need more than 1GB RAM dedicated to it(less intensive for Vista) and as long as you can play Sims Castaway Stories, it's fine!

  • I think that Apple computers get a disproportionate level of airtime.

You just can't beat the PC, when will people learn?

  • im using my imac now :D nd it owns that ugly thing

  • ugly? ur the 1 too talk Mr. Imac.

  • Doesn't beat an iMac by far.

  • i still would prefer a mac ! Mac is different , in every way , vista tried to build a OS like Mac , didnt work , Dell tried to make a desktop like MAc , it wont WOrk , trust me ! you cant find anything similar to mac in the world , the design , the performance its all unique , even the customers are unique !

  • Are you kidding me? OS X was based off linux....

  • I think you mean "UNIX"...

  • All Mac OS' are based on a Unix core, just like Linux so they are supposedly stable.

  • Vista is a form of Windows from Microsoft.

You are right on the design part, but there is another OS called Linux that is based on Unix, just like Mac OS'.

One thing Mac cannot compare on is their packaging and styling, it is truly amazing.

  • the imac looks so much nicer

  • iMac with: - Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz 6MB Cache - Ati Radeon HD 2600 Pro - 256mb VRAM - 320GB HDD - 2GB RAM Is £949... Dell XPS One with: - Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz 2MB Cache - Intergrated Intel Graphics - 128MB Shared - 320GB HDD - 2GB non-configurable RAM Is £899... I think dell should drop the price, it's not worth £899 IMO when even an overpriced Mac is better bang for buck lol
  • The "overpriced Mac" also has better styling from Apple, don't forget!

  • Yup! I love my iMac :)

  • I so want one of these, Would be brilliant XD

  • Get a mac and you will never go back
