Did he eventually eat the frog over a period of time, or did he just take away the frog's foot? Did the frog survive? I apologize if those sound like stupid questions, but I'm genuinely curious as to the fate of One-Foot Frog.
@MrAcast84 I separated the frog and turtle, but I only had the one aquarium and Bowser soon went back to finish the job. I didn't allow this to happen, though, and euthanized the frog.

Btw. Just stick to fresh fish from clean sources. Avoid feeders like goldfish. Just go down to a chinese food market, get some dirt-cheap talipa, trout, shrimp, even salmon(clean it throughly prior to feeding to get rid of the salts). If you feed a frog. Atleast try to pre-kill it and boil it in hot water for 10minutes to kill anything on it.
But the reality of things are that the turtle should have a wide variety of foods for a diet because you couldn't possibly live off of chicken alone could you? so why should the turtle live off of one food item? They're omnivorous and highly predatory. But they should have a widely varied diet avoiding anything overly unhealthy like mice(only as treats) because mice and rats are high in fat.
@Dimunic Crayfish are actually a good staple food for wild snappers, but you are absolutely right... variety in any animals diet is key to healthiness.

@botchedonce I agree to some extent. But there ARE better feeder options. You shouldn't be feeding laevis because they can transmit parasites and disease. You never know what they carry since it may not affect the frog, but affect the turtle. That's one of my concerns. As well as the turtle could choke on a big food item like that. I'm not opposed to live foods. But I'd say stick to stuff like: Fish, crayfish(de-clawed), smaller frogs(if you must), hell even if you wanna feed birds too go for it

@blublast3 alaska doesnt have turtles and i do understand the eco system but this is pet keeping and xenopus laevis shouldnt ever be housed with aggressive animals.also this turtle is being keep in captivity so this turtle most likely has a diet of fish and pellets.

So I read the description of this video and to be honest, I thought it was pretty stupid. Snappers as they are called around my neck of the woods are vicious(its instincts), and to put it in a tank with a frog(which is a natural meal for a snapper) thinking they would get along was ill-minded. I'm gonna go ahead and call shenanigans on this video.
@Missioneer Ok, so I found a tiny baby snapper. I put it in this tank. Several weeks later, I found this frog at a pet store. I didn't know clawed frogs got this big!! Seriously, the frog was twice as long as the turtle when I added it to the tank. Then, months later, this video was filmed. Shenanigans would be if I put a rubber toy frog in the turtle's tank and posted a vid of it being attacked. This video is more of an "Oops'.
@BeautyFetish No, It was hard to tell until the turtle was several months old, but it was definitely a Common Snapping Turtle. The behavior was most telling earliest. Alligator snappers use that worm-tongue thingy to ambush fish. bowser didn't have one of those and never waited in ambush
@sukruoosten Despite all the angry comments, I cut this video short to save the frog. I had the camera in my hand, turned on, pointed in the general direction of my tank when this happened. I pushed the "record" button, thinking the frog would easily kick free of the turtle. When it didn't, I stopped the camera and intervened. I guess that 18 seconds is what I considered a reasonable amount of time.
@RagingTurtle805 It's sorta normal... we don't have African Clawed frogs here in Northern Michigan where I collected the turtle. I have never been to Africa, where I assume these frogs are native. I am not sure if they have snapping turtles there. Still, the snappers here in MI definitely do eat the frogs native to MI.

We used to have our "predator tank" a big old 75 gal with a bunch of african cichlids, and every now and then they'd pull something like this that we didn't expect. You weren't really as dumb as everyone's saying...the frogs like the same size as the turtle!

@mouserusker That's not healthy... Try feeding foods like: Fresh trout(pre killed--- try going to a grocery store) or even salmon or talipa! Then give it stuff like crabs, and shrimps(ones you find at a food store), then supplement it with turtle pellets from Reptomin. Feed every 3days.

So I read the description of this video and to be honest, I thought it was pretty stupid. Snappers as they are called around my neck of the woods are vicious(its instincts), and to put it in a tank with a frog(which is a natural meal for a snapper) thinking they would get along was ill-minded. I'm gonna go ahead and call shenanigans on this video.

@Missioneer Ok, so I found a tiny baby snapper. I put it in this tank. Several weeks later, I found this frog at a pet store. I didn't know clawed frogs got this big!! Seriously, the frog was twice as long as the turtle when I added it to the tank. Then, months later, this video was filmed. Shenanigans would be if I put a rubber toy frog in the turtle's tank and posted a vid of it being attacked. This video is more of an "Oops'.

@BeautyFetish No, It was hard to tell until the turtle was several months old, but it was definitely a Common Snapping Turtle. The behavior was most telling earliest. Alligator snappers use that worm-tongue thingy to ambush fish. bowser didn't have one of those and never waited in ambush

@sukruoosten Despite all the angry comments, I cut this video short to save the frog. I had the camera in my hand, turned on, pointed in the general direction of my tank when this happened. I pushed the "record" button, thinking the frog would easily kick free of the turtle. When it didn't, I stopped the camera and intervened. I guess that 18 seconds is what I considered a reasonable amount of time.

I am not sure if they have snapping turtles there. Still, the snappers here in MI definitely do eat the frogs native to MI.

We used to have our "predator tank" a big old 75 gal with a bunch of african cichlids, and every now and then they'd pull something like this that we didn't expect. You weren't really as dumb as everyone's saying...the frogs like the same size as the turtle!

The animals that needed or enjoyed live food got it. I even killed some carrots and lettuce for the iguana!
