I have to do a project in my video production class, using this song.

I had never heard of it before, and when I saw that it was a Taylor Swift remix I groaned (not that I have anything against her, its just that I was hoping for something a little more 'magical')

Then I listened to the song.

So I can't wait to start this project, and only hope to keep the magic of the music within it!

So... to summarize all the hate and yelling that's been going on around here, a while ago Jon Schmidt wrote a medley of Love Story (Taylor Swift) and Viva la Vida (Coldplay). Look at the suggestions to the right, about three videos down for this song. Schmidt couldn't get permission from Coldplay, so he rewrote the song with permission from Taylor Swift, hence "Love Story meets Love Story." That is what this video is.

Why is this called Love Story meets Love Story when it clearly has the vocalization and eventual chord progression from Viva La Vida starting at 4:55 to about 5:55?

@streetmd the chords might be similar because it is common in songs to share a common chord progression which would be why he even considered the blend of love story meet viva la vida in the first place. But if you listen to the keyboard partfrom 4:55, its actually constantly playing "stay away from juliet" along some variations. Then finally resuming love story again.

@Atarei At 4:55, that "whoaa-ooh" is almost identical to the trademark of the chorus in Viva. I can hear the cello mirroring the lyric of "stay away from Juliet" but I don't hear the piano duplicating that passage.

What I hear as the Viva chord progression (which obviously is interchangeable with the LS, as you point out) happens at exactly 5:10. The reason I'd argue it leans more towards Viva here than LS is because of the change to the staccato chords: "bumbumbum" as opposed to "bumm bumm".
