The three reasons why Spider-Man 3 was terrible was because:

-Excessive Budgeting

-Over Confidence

-Weak Script

The Budgeting for Iron Man 2 is steady, there is alot of confidence but nothing collasal to where the movie will have to be perfect to meet expectations, and from the looks of it, the writers look like they gave it their all to make a story worth caring for this time around...

All in all, Iron Man 2 should be the complete opposite of what Spider-Man 3 was...

Well, but the thing where Spidey3 went the most wrong was, they included way too mnay characters. Spider-Man fought Harry, Venom, Sandman, even Mary Jane, and even HIMSELF!

Iron Man 2, has six to seven major characters. And the thing is, it has very high expectations. To me, it seems as though they are indeed over confident that this will be great no matter what, due to The Avengers being around the corner, and because Dark Knight, Spidey 2 and X-Men 2 were all great sequels to great films.

All right, I agree, but the thing is all the actors/actresses have won oscars/emmy's (or atleast been nominated) at some point in their career, so the semi-large cast shouldn't be a problem, and, if the movie delivers like the first film, it should have no problem curing everybody's anticipation and anxiety. My point is if the movie continues too sound and look as big as it is,(the movie already sounds great in my opinion), then it shouldn't dissapoint like Spider-Man 3.

Also The Dark Knight had a large charactor enemble and the movie pulled it off damn near perfectly, so I doubt a large cast could be a bad omen for this film.
