He must have practiced for hours with a metronome. One of the guitar teachers at the place where I take lessons can play extremely fast. He said that he just practiced for hours, 3 hours per day at least.

Unfortunately, you play fast notes instead of quality notes. You still have that trendy fast guitar player sound, except that it's even faster which makes you stand out.

But that shit is fast and I find myself very impressed by the speed which is something I'm not usually impressed by in guitar playing.
