It's not the only greenhouse gas or even the most powerful, but it is by far the most abundant. Among real scientists there is only about 3% of the community who disbelieve that CO2 causes global warming. Idiots believe it does not. Second, the Kyoto treaty was a good measure but didn't go far enough.

I hate when people say that trees and plants breath CO2. That is true, however, we have been killing so many trees that that fact doesn't matter. That means our CO2 output is increasing, while our CO2 elimination is decreasing. So if you want to use the plants breath CO2 argument, you better start planting millions of plants and stop cutting down hundreds of thousands of trees a year...

Trees absorb co2 and fuckin turns it into oxygen. The amount of any pollutants wasted from a gaslone'diesel engine that is 25bhp+, anywhere in the world requires a catylytic converter.
