theres a wonderful movie about Cuba back in the 40's that far surpasses the charm of the standard music of the buena vista social club musically. its an animated gem called "chico and rita" theres jazz, cuban classics and latin jazz. even a tune with Chano Pozo. its difficult to find the film but worth the look. (i found the soundtrack on amazon) you can look it up in youtube.

Thanks for the movie - I see it is done as animation ( I ll try to find it ) - I adore animated motion pictures.

I posted one too. It is kind of futuristic and cheese, but it has deep message or at least I believe so.

I've just taken an interest in Cuban music, and I really loved this song. Such happy, positive flow going on. Any tips on artist or songs I should take a look at, who are in the same alley as this? Also, have a merry holiday :-)
