I know this is 2 years old but your character doesnt have a voice because you can pick 3 races and 2 genders as well as about over 100 optional dialogue paths all with >3 options. and you choose your char's voice out of like 6 I think. If they made a voice for all of those possibilities the game would be huge!

I believe the reason for no voice acting can be in part because in Mass Effect you played the same character reguardless. Here you can pick many types of characters of different races and gender. They could have done it but, they would need to duplicate every dialogue option for every race twice.

really as a rogue it is more useful to use light armor only cuz enemys are stupid and attack the one with the heaviest armor (with grey warden commanders armor i was always the one getting attacked). i have a human warrior and i got that armor by doing the quest to take over soldiers peak witch had demons inside so it got intresting and i got it from a demon posessed sonja witch weared it.

there wasnt a voice for the chracter in DAO because there are 3 races with male and female and each sex and race has 6 different voices thats 18 voices and that would might have been too much money or extra work just so you can hear the character talk.

its actually alot easier to control on a console atleast the X360. but i think most hardcore rpg players would prefere the pc version since its more true to baldurs gate and games like it

I wish I had a PC that could run this. Anyway, I played it on a PS3 at a buddy's house, and skorch, you may be surprised to find out that the controls are actually pretty fluid. You use scroll wheels instead of all the on screen buttons. The only downside is that you can't use that overhead view you like so much, so the camera doesn't feel like Baldur's gate to me. Still great though.
