  • Big deal. It's nothing more than a couple of crappy monkeys.

  • ngothyeaun: You are absolutle RIGHT !~ Nothing yoiu said is weird only right !!

  • EFFECTIVE PROPAGANDA VIDEO IS EFFECTIVE

  • They look miserable - how cool is THAT!

  • @junkintrunk55 there's always a choice whether or not to kill.

In any case, war has nothing to do with this video.

  • @BDill03 My conscience is clear. I do not any issue killing. If someone broke into my home, and threatened my family I could kill quite easily. The issues I have is people that are so against killing and don't think a thing of going through the drive thru and getting a hamburger. I'd like to see them visit a slaughterhouse then eat it. See how pigs are hung up alive so they can eat bacon. I won't use any animal products, but I could kill a human with no problem, if the situation was right.

  • What an idiotic video. The monkeys are well and agile- obviously not in pain or depressed. I live in a 20 square meters appartement. Compared to my size it is less space than them, and I have no company - unlike them, but I do not complain.

Instead of travelling to asia to expose these "scandals" to the world: Save money and atmosphere destruction from flying and look into your farmer`s barn. You might see cows and other animals chained unable to move until they are dead...

  • @Seewolfman Perfect comment. I have so little patience with these idiots that say how bad the monkey is treated, then go to McD's and order the hamburger. Or have the veal. How can you justify chaining a baby animal to a 4 foot chain so your corpse is more tender? The greatest killer of monkeys in the wild are other monkeys. Look up "disable monkey" and " A fatal attack on an unweaned infant by a non-resident male in a free-ranging group of Japanese mac". These, in the cage, have it easy.

  • @junkintrunk55 I've never went to war and killed people so I don't have that on my conscience. People have a choice whether to kill their fellow man or not.

I believe it's wrong to deliberately cause suffering and pain to any animal, human or otherwise.

You are the one that found amusement in the idea of shooting baby monkeys from their mothers breast for no reason other than sheer badness. I doubt you have ever killed a monkey or been to Vietnam. You just wish you had which is quite sad.

    Oh

  • @BDill03 You know, I don't give a rats ass what you believe. I was in the 76th Ranger Battalion, Company L Stationed out of Khe Sanh, at Fire Base Alpha 2. 1968 - 1970

  • @BDill03 By the way, I was taught when your country calls you, you go, whether you like it or not. I'm just glad I was never a coward like you or the monkeys. I was drafted, I didn’t have a choice.

  • @junkintrunk55 what exactly does war have to do with keeping monkeys in a cage?

  • @BDill03 Your the one that made the general comment about comments, so you got a reply. If you compare killing your fellow man, in the Vietnam war, to keeping these rats in a cage, it's not all that bad. I'd say if your concern in life is the capture and caging of these vermin, you are the one making moronic comments.

If you can't figure that out, too bad.

  • small cage WTF? you wanna give em a 22,000ft house? stop crying

  • Can't believe some of the previous comments.

Empathy is supposed to be one of the things that separates us humans from animals.

I sometimes wonder if we are the higher species when I encounter moronic attitudes like many have displayed here.

I know who I'd rather see in a cage.

  • @BDill03 Yeah, if you were in a war, having these things steal your stuff, giving your position away, you would have killed them too. The native people hate them so bad the common way to kill them was to trap them and ram a sticker branch up their behind, and let them loose to die. In war, where your killing people, it’s not so bad shooting a monkey. Don’t condemn others until you have been in combat, or walked a mile in their shoes.

  • They have nothing for intellectual stimulation, monkeys are far too intelligent to be in a cage without walks or any toys to occupy their time. I think it definitely constitutes neglect for such a species :(

  • Proportionally, that monkey cage is bigger than my apartment.

  • @IrreverentFool ROFL...

  • You're right about one thing, you are a bit wierd and extreme.

  • @chad11950

what do u know about weird and extreme? if you want to be silence about cruelty, you are simply the mode of ignorance.

  • lmao, you're the one that brought up being wierd and extreme.

  • @chad11950

as i have said, what do u know about the sufferings of animals in this world. you are in the lowest mode of ignorance and ignorance is not a bliss. its a shame that you have a human body and think worst than animal.

  • That's awful. They would deserve nothing less than their freedom!

  • Cage far exceeds requirements; monkeys could care less as long as they get fed?

Stop judging other cultures and mind your own f---ing business.

  • heartless much? how would you like to be trapped in a cage that big. Oh wait youd be ok cuz youd be getting fed.

  • THATS IT....... I'M BUYING AN UZZI,AND 400 FULL CLIPS THOSE A_ _ HOLES.bUT SERIOUSLY THIS DOESNT SHOW MUCH .....LIKE ...WHERE OR WHAT TYPE OF LIFE THEY WERE BEING SUBJECTED TOO,BEFORE THE CAGE.yET STILL EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO SWALLOW...sportsterRuss

  • Will a small dog cage work for a monkey? cause I want to get one sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BAD!

  • Please use your common human sense before posting a comment.Thank You.

  • @least they r clean n the cage isclean, i've seen much much worse..

  • I go to Dewan Sri at least once a week and I've never felt as sad as your video has made me. What can we do to help? It is, indeed, very sad. We should share the Earth with animals, not make them items of decorations. What idiots.

  • Please let me come to malaysia to help you in your work.

Thank you for everything that you do

  • ye u should go jump off a tree you jerk. if you don't care for animals then don't watch the videos.

  • Besides the monkeys, other animals too are strangely confined in dewan sri pinang. it's a place for music, it's not a freakin' zoo.

  • these few months ive been to dewan alot, & yes those monkeys're totally like human babies.if you watch their hands closely, which reach for u from the cage each time u approaches it as if tellin u to save them.ive seen children bullying, & unfortunately, being scratched by the monkeys, which further lead to some obviously heartless parents poking and seeking "justice" for their children. I say serves them right.

  • I so would have went to jail because I would have been trying my damndest to free them.

Thats why I'm not allowed in zoos/circuses or other places like that :)

  • sometimes a zoo is a good thing like fore endangered animals and in zoo's the animals are not abused on the other hand circuses are bad cause the people whip the animals and abuse them

  • I know I've seen some wonderful zoos...I've also seen some terrible one with large carnivors in small concrete cages

  • yah thats sad

  • Horrible! Try to get an animal rescuing agency on them, those poor monkeys!

  • is so sad......i agree with u animal are not 4 decoration

  • I have to say that discrepancy between that flashing place and those cages makes me feel dumbstruck. How gross and tasteless for such a place to have animals on display and, above all, cages!!!! No way!

  • I'll be sending an email too if you can tell us how to locate the place. For example, do we have to write: Dewan Sri Pinang, is that enough?

  • You're NOT wierd, only decent. Please post the address of this place. Could you e-mail me? 'll see that PETA gets ahold of it, but we need an address.

  • I think you can try to send email to WWF Malaysia. I already sent.

  • The poor little things, it's got to wear on them mentally. Monkeys are very intellegent, I can imagine what they must be going through. Can anything be done to help them?

  • ooo i will do so

  • it just breakes my heart, being smart animals they must be bored to death...at least they have each other.....

  • i don't think you're weird at all. i couldn't watch this video. i saw the title and i knew it would just disturb me, so i paused it and just read the description.

can anything be done to help them?

  • Please post an address so that people can write to voice their concerns. I agree that animals do not belong in cages, but I understand the reasoning behind SOME zoo programs. Hopefully if we can write letters helping to educate the owners, we might at least be able to get the cage enlarged or have them create a true habitat. P.s. I got my t-shirts from your blog-site & I love them! Everyone asks me about them & I tell them about your efforts. Trust me, you're famous in Austin, TX.

  • Lisa,

I will let you all know once I got all the contacts.

  • Lisa,

You can try to send email to WWF Malaysia.

  • Can you provide a mailing address of this place, or an email for the director? Then people like me can write and voice our concerns. Thanks.

  • I will find out very soon and also will file a report to our local wild life association here. I will site mail you once I got the adds.

  • Thanks. I think that this kind of animal treatment is mostly due to lack of knowledge about the basic needs of animals. Often, people do not consider that captive animals require an environment which must include enough space, privacy, stimulation, and possibly companionship. Providing food water and medical care is not enough. For these animals to thrive, all these things need to be provided.

  • I agree with you totally. The environment need to be a mimic of the wildlife and not just throw in some food and some artificial swing in the cage. However I do not think they ( the humans )have thought of it at all in the first place and yes, very lack of knowledge about animals. They just want to fill up the 'gap' of the landscaping they have been spending and as so-called 'decorations'. Sad really.

  • It's very sad. But I think such situations can be remedied with understanding.

  • You can try to send email to WWF Malaysia.
