Well, er...in fact, he's not big here.I knew he once held a small concert in a club somewhere in Beijing years ago, but that's all. I heard this song in a music forum. And I looked for all his album then.
To me, his voice is like, hopeless but, warm (not sure if I understood it right). I believe it suits the MV most.
he's got a sensitive emotion which western people might not be able to understand. maybe too much sugar in it.. but as far as i'm concerned, his music is such beauty..which is why he's succeeded in estern. german people should be proud of him. cos he's broken the stereotype that 'western = logical' or 'german = strict'.
Some PR genius thought to market him in the Asian market (I noticed him from the Korean market). Most likely because they weren't up to trying the American market, which is notorious about not liking Germans singing in English.
