@jimbojamesIV One would think so, but electro-magnets didn't exist back then, and magnets were CERTAINLY not powerful enough to hold the tip of a sword down like that.
when i saw this film, edward norton's voice strayed so far from his normal voice. he also had an incredible calm demenor i'd expect eisenheim to have, and this movie made my assumption of edward norton being one of the greatest actors of my time even stronger.
As a 'Queen' fan I'm well aware that Freddie Mercury was indian by heritage and Rufus Sewell is not but this does not matter in the slightest. Freddie Mercury spoke with an English accent all his life and his whole manner was very English.
Rufus Sewell is a good actor and the main concern of the producers of any biopic is finding someone who can play the part well. Hollywood make up artists are the best in the world so they could easily enhance his resemblance and make him look asian.
Sewell has the most amazing facial expressions. Even the slightest twitch of shift of his eyes are just enough for me to squeel. (Yeah, I squeel, but then again what teenaged girl doesnt xD)
This move is so amazing and Edward Nortan is equally an amazing actor, what with his eyebrow raises and what not. :)
I was just thinking that myself. I was just watching an interview of him on Craig Ferguson in October 2008. I was always hoping Andy Sandberg would do a digital short where he played Freddie Mercury but Rufus Sewell would be perfect for a bio pic. Also I believe that Russell Crowe should play Stevie Ray Vaughn in a biopic
Freddie Mercury has too much of a markedly Indian look too him for Sewell to be able to play him. Whoever plays Mercury would need to justice to his ethnicity (Indian). Although I agree about some resemblance, Rufus Sewell just doesn't look Asian at all. F.Mercury was 100% Indian by blood, and even before I knew this was so I have always thought he looked very Asian. I think it would be great if Mercury was played by an actual Indian.
Philosophy+ history + legend+ mystery + the impossibly sexy Edward Norton.... Damn....

Rufus Sewell looks so EERILY like the late, great Freddie Mercury in this clip.
Since there are already plans for a hollywood film based on his life then surely Rufus Sewell would be a prime for the lead role?
Not only is he a very good actor but also his physical resemblance to Mercury is extraordinary.
What do other viewers think?

Wow! You're right, he looks amazingly like Freddie! His eyes have that same intensity. I knew there was something about him...
