Everyone who thinks Jam is overpowerd never thought about the following facts:
a) Jam deals ALL of her damage in zero-range combat, and has NO weapon
b) She takes damage above average (still she's more durable than than Chipp)
Since every character has it's strong point, Jam is no exception, her strenght lies in great combo potential and high damage. Example: try approaching Venom through a hail of projectiles and find out that he is good up close as well...
@nisbahmumtaz909 Chipp Zanuff and Millia Rage are both faster then Jam, but lack her damage, if you want to point out her superiority. Her combo potential was much higher in #Reload, so I think she's been nerfed in AC. And if you look over the whole match, the Jam user lost in the end. Tiers don't decide victory, so there is no point arguing about them. Guilty Gear is way more about the player's skill, tiers are only a necessairy evil.
Is that why this years SBO had only 2 Jams and like 5 Testaments and like 8 Slayers? 'Cause Jam is so overpowered and so easy to play right? Wait, you probably don't even know what SBO is.
You think a character's power determines its popularity? If that were true, in Slash everyone would've played Ky, since everyone thought he was just sooo "powerful"(against people who don't know how to play their character maybe).
Yeah, but who ended up winning? <.< I'm talking about 2006 btw, not 2007. Everyone seemed pretty even matched up until the end, then Jam came along and plowed through everyone.
No, KA2 came through and plowed through everyone... and at that time he was considered by far the best GG player in the world... the character doesn't make the player the player makes the character.
If you really think Jam is soooo overpowered go watch the KA2 (Jam) vs Shounen (Testament) match from evo. Or watch Ogawa's eddie in the SBO07 finals

Have you ever seen KA2 play as someone besides Jam? There's a noteable difference in power. Maybe he just focuses on Jam and thusly can't play as someone else, but I just find it out of place that "the best GG player" could win at a much higher rate with Jam.
Dumb. The milia player here had better strategy, but she still got comboed and reseted to death.

NO the reason it did that much is because she built up guard meter and started from a non prorated move.
You don't do more damage when your lower than health in this game.
You take less damage yes
