"And She Was" is the name of a rock song written by David Byrne for the 1985 Talking Heads album Little Creatures. According to Byrne, the song was written about a girl he knew who used to take LSD in a field next to a Yoo-hoo beverage factory in Baltimore, Maryland
@VanGoghRothko It's easy to oversimplify it like that after the fact. He could have wrote about so many other things, and he probably did. The trick is in being able to look at all the stuff you wrote down the next day and recognizing which parts are actually a solid foundation for a song.
The sound of his iconic voice teleports me back to a crazy time … the 80’s. I'm glad I remember half of it. I'd really hate to remember the other half!
Holy fuck, it's been over 20 years and David Byrne sounds as amazing as he did when Little Creatures came out. How awesome.

it's about a woman's trip on cocaine. no genius here, he was probably tripping and wrote about it.

I don't think that even GENIUS is the right word for David Byrne.
