Loved the Video and your Abuelita! Everyone has their own way of making their sorullos and I love the concept of hers will try it out soon! Thanks for Sharing!
Dic 24 2011 desde nueva zelandia una Boricua de peñuelas intentara esta receta! La intente con solo arina de maiz ya 2 veces y no me sale bien. Haci que pa'lante con esta. Gracias por compartir tu abuela.
As cute as grandma is surullos are not made with white flour or baking soda I find it hard to believe that someone in the deep country had all those ingredients for a very meal staple. Arina de mais, water, and either salt or sugar to taste are all that were needed to make surullos besides the oil or lard to fry them in.
@relisa1978nov i do them like u say but i add a egg yolk and some seasoning i also put some butter and my sorullos are dip with ketchup garlic and mayo yumn!!
OMG...she is just adorable....thank you for sharing.....brought back so many memories, watching my abuela in the kitchen making surrullitos for us.....
LOVE IT! Thank you so much! I haven't had these in about 15 years and I'm so excited to try them! What is that ingrediant that she said was the most important? So the masa won't be hard? Vicadorato de soda?
God bless tu abuelita. she so cute she reminds me of my abuelita, My abuelita use to make me the masa but I never learned, now my kids want me to make it and she has the perfect recipe. Gracias and keep recording your abuelita.
I got more than how to make them Thank You so much for sharing my heart was full of joy, I laugh and cry cause I miss my moments living in PR with the house full of family please thank her and enjoy her food cause thats what I call food for the saul with lots of love. Dios los Bendiga

Your grandma is so precious. I didn't even know you were supposed to put flour and oil in the mix. No wonder mine never tasted as good as the ones in the restaurants. Thank you so much for posting this recipe..I wished I would have done the same thing with my grandma....She reminds me of her in the way that shes so funny...I miss her so much since she died last year :( This video made me happy and sad at the same time...

Cuanta agua se uso en la receta?
Police19005 1 year ago
@Police19005 No hay cantidad de agua en especifico solo hechale hasta que se pueda volver "la masa" manejable o gomosa pero no pegajosa... :)
