No dumbass, the push bottoms you see there are for the generators saftey. The smallest box is probably the best one there, it has 6 breakers and like I was saying, if one breaker item surges like your well pump, instead of that little breaker popping on the generator, it does on the box.
Using the smallest box shown here is ILLEGAL!! The little pushbutton breakers on that "transfer switch" are what electrical inspectors call "supplemental overcurrent devices" and they are NOT an acceptable substitute for full size circuit breakers. When you switch to generator power, those little guys are all you have protecting your house wiring on those circuits. An inspector would fail you for that, and your fire insurance company will cancel your policy if they see it.
was debating between the first one ( sold by home depot for about $280) and the second one ( sold by Costco for $300) . I see the differences - looks like the one from Costco is way better.. Thanks
these things are good but they make a mess of your panel wiring and you have to have the wall space to mount it. There is a kit that goes on the front of your existing panel that makes your panel a transfer switch. You will have to turn off loads are to big (say AC of electric heat) but boy is it easy. Google interlock kit to find the company.

Interlock Kit is a much better choice.
