I really like how the focus is on the maps themselves. Sure most focus on the combat, but something about this entry makes it very unique from the others. I'm really hoping this wins at least one Saxxy...

@layzergun Well, "something happening" isn't required for it to be dramatic. It's just that usually something does happen after the initial buildup.

If it was at all possible I would wish for a longer version of this, I love this video to bits, it reminds me that despite the hats going very close to the line, there is still a lot of artistic beauty to be found in many maps. Both community and official.

it's like the classical version of Guile's theme goes with everything, Beethoven's 7th symphony Allegretto makes everything look powerfully beautiful.

I've always loved TF2's art style- and you're right, a helluva lot of work goes into the environments and most players don't so much as throw it a glance. Nice work, you really do it some credit. To the Ritalin-popping combat junkies who call this boring- there's a whole lot more to this game than clever kills and cartoony violence.

I would actually find myself staring at the mountains and forest in the alpine themed maps. Sometimes I want to find ways of "Hopping the fence" to explore even further into them! I love the sights and styles of TF2's locations SO MUCH...
