Technically Amir Bai is better than shamshad begum.Shamshad sung very good but the grip and command of amir bai is better.

In this particular number, Amir Bai has a better throw and sounds more soulful, with all due respect to Shamshad Begum, whose version is a great one too. Perhaps Shamshad was very young in 1953.

Sorry i didn't listen this song in Ameer Bai's voice actually I was a young boy when it was a great hit and I bought the record after watching the movie and the singer was Shamshad Begum. thanks for correcting my mistake
