  • 300 feet is a little bit of an exagerration, you're more like 1/4 mile away, but still that's incredible footage. Great video.

  • Mother nature terrifying force that would change lives, forever.

  • Awesome tornado footage. I chase myself, and that was close when you first got your camera on the tornado. If that tornado hadn't been going somewhat away from you, I think the guy in the big truck would have gotten hit along with the car that was in front of him. I got my first video of a tornado in Lane County KS on this same day. I saw two the day before and saw 4 more in Oklahoma the day after. It was an incredible three days of chasing being that it was my 1st days chasing ever.

  • I saw four more tornadoes that same day.. It was just an incredible experience!

    Thanks for posting!

  • Reed Timmer at 1:05 ish

  • looks like its 100 yards away lol

  • I regret to this day pursuing the storm near Ness City after Quinter number 1, and the small tornado immediately after that. Seeing this one cross I-70 would have been the best video I've taken. Check out the videos I have posted from my chases.

  • Great video. A bit further than 300 feet I think, but still mighty impressive!

And thank you, thank you, thank you for not screaming like a school girl like many of the chasers do when filming, (You know who you are)

  • if u were 300 feet away from that thing, ud be prolly picked up unless it was a weak tornado. otherwise great vid!!

  • Actually, someone came 300 ft from this when it was a mile wide. Although it might have been weaker at the time it formed, it was rated EF4. Reed Timmers came within the same distance of a Half mile wide F4. So even if you're close it doesn't mean you'll get picked up. I still wouldn't recommend it.

  • A simply fantastic video!

  • nice a tornado video! you're probably quite a bit more than 300 feet away though... that's only one football field away, and that looks like a hell of a distance to run :) I'd guess more like a mile away.

  • we were on our way home from Oberlin, and took I-70, and this was about 5 minutes after we passed Quinter. I always have my camera ready, and nothing good ever comes of it. Somehow that day we were either just north or just south of every storm there. The one in Hays, we showed up and stopped at Home Depot and the guys there said just before we walked through the door they had just let everyone out of the back after being there for 2 hours! Great VIDEO!

  • lol when he said nice big fat rope i almost died laughing you're ego must be really huge dude XD

  • The vehicle was lifted and thrown from the East bound traffic lane to a dith just north of the west bound lane of traffic leaving the man injured and trapped inside. Making matters worst he was thrown in a ditch that had fast water rising..the water was about waist deep. Thanks to the men and women of the Gove County Sheriff's Department... Quinter Fire Department and Ambulance service we were able to get the man out of the vehicle and transported to the hospital.

  • 300 feet!?!?!? that was at LEAST 300 yards away. not a big deal though, u still got some great footage.

  • what highway is this?

  • I-70

  • to the guy who got hit "hey man, i wanna give u the video of the tornado that pwned ur ass and almost killed u" hahaha, nice idea. lol

  • I saw that tornado it passed right next to us!We were out of gas coming from colorado and had no choice but to stop right next to the freakin thing...oh and the hail cracked our windshield...theres damage for ya lol

  • haha, this is a great video good job but seriously you were quite a bit more than 300 feet from that tornado. other than that though, it was great, i loved the S shape the tornado took on for a time. i didnt see the car getting thrown into the field either, but that doesn't mean he's lying.... you forget we also couldnt see what was happening on the other side of the tornado.

  • The tornado did throw a car that was driving east over on the other side of the west bound lane. The driver was taken to the hospital.

  • Sure. I have no doubt. BUT it was NOT shown in this video. Which is all I was pointing out, and oh look! The author of the video has now INCLUDED an EDIT, informing us that the car is not shown in the video. Imagine that.

  • You're the jerk. You phantom biaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatch.

  • Stop digging you dumb bitch. You could have politely typed "I didn't see the car" but for some whacked reason you called the guy a "lying jerk". WTF???

  • Oh, and I couldn't have read what you just typed 10 hours ago when I made my first post a week ago.

God damn some people are stupid...

  • No kidding. Thanks for the shining example. You made yourself look like the ass here, and I bet you don't even know why!

  • Gee, did you get the author to edit your comment so the date changed?

  • You know... sometimes you should just admit that you were wrong. Instead of suggesting things that aren't possible in an attempt to not look stupid.

Also try clicking the link "Read all comments" because if you still insist that the date was changed, you aren't reading the comments in the order in which they were placed.

But you already knew that, right smarty?
