There are two indicators that could potentially be used during a urinalysis (well more then that but under normal conditions).

1.) Smell. For that I also would add a couple teaspoons of pure ammonia (NH4+ a natural byproduct of the urea cycle produced in your liver)

2.) Temperature. For that I would wrap your test tube or whatever container you are using with "hand warmers" used by people in the winter.
