@Drew11189 This was so hilarious to me!! the toilet, TPing, and sup bitches parts.. i was dieing!!... but where i'm at, believe me, there's 3 different ways to say toilet and it sounds nothing like the welsh way. I'm from alabama btw
Awesome. I am Lakota/Dakota and one of our tribes is called Miwatani. These people are the Mandans. Uniquely enough, our word for the Welsh People is also Miwatani. It means people of the long boat. Our word for the English People is Iyasica--They Talk Bad. I enjoyed hearing your accent. And I lived in Alabama. You said it correctly. LOL
Are you seriously suggesting the UK is a continent on its own? That's pretty much what you're saying at 0:23. In case you are, the UK is not a continent. It is part of Europe, which is barely a continent.
@SchmidtP89 If I suggested that the UK was its own continent, then I sure as hell wasn't paying attention in Geography lessons. Maybe you misunderstood what I said.
this chap is soo sweet, its a random video but due to me chatting up a welsh guy online I wanted a genuine idea of what he'll sound like so i don't freak when he calls me lol! Thanks Drew xx
Drew, you got a Swansea accent man ! Nice. Just like mine :) BTW can't believe you don't call gym shoes "daps". And that varying you do, I do that too. Dunno why. Good work mun. And please tell people how you pronounce Coca Cola ;)
Drew, you got a Swansea accent man ! Nice. Just like mine :) BTW can't believe you don't call gym shoes "daps". And that varying you do, I do that too. Dunno why. Good work mun.
A bug that rolls into a ball is a potato bug! You find them in the garden, usually under rocks, branches, boards etc. Also, if you've steam heat we have another bug that rolls into a ball called a Silver Fish, they are attracted to heat and moisture. (steam right!)
i submitted a video response for this and realized i completely didn't get one of the questions. 'how do you address a group of people?' i guess the answer would be' y'all/ you guys'. i normally just say 'what's up guys' or call people folks....i hate 'y'all' haha
Haaa hahahaaa! "I'm your daddy, bitch!" That was mint! I was having this discussion about a month ago with a young fellow from Manchester, England (of course) about regional dialects. The way you speak came up as we chatted. He said that you sounded very Welsh. He said that he could listen to a Welsh accent all day.
I was considering making a video response, then I saw that a woman from Michigan beat me to the punch. It would probably just be redundant and bore you to tears.
How else to you say "toilet"? I'm American, and in westetn Pennsylvania/eastern Ohio, we've been known to say "ter-lit". Us Americans are fucking strange. Especially from that part of the country. Go check out the Pittsburgh accent (that's where I'm from). It's like a whole other language.
@SammJamms Hahahaha, okay well that answers that question but it's not like a massive pronunciation difference. Not like you're saying "Too-ee-let" or something weird XD
I think we need new questions formulated for Brits, remind me to do it, I understand this stuff and why they ask them. The questions anre focussed on yankeer regional differences too much.
hey i am from wales and from cardiff and soz i cant post a vid response cause my webcan broke buh its pretty much the same as u lol i fucking love the welsh accent lol and i loved the vid btw xx
@BlkChameleon There's a massive difference. I'll generalise it because everywhere has a different accent, but the Valley accent (mine) is very different to the Swansea-area one. But if you zoom out of Wales, they'd sound similar with a few differences but I'm sure that applies to everywhere in the world.
Lol, love you get Welsher as you go along... accent wise I mean. And for some reason a lot of kinkage in the video: i shall love you long time, I'm your daddy b*tch. Yep, definitely a Valley's boy :p
oh and in Alabama most people say "Buggy" rather than cart or trolley, but I say cart and hate it when people say buggy lol.
in alabama most people say "rolling yards" rather than teepeeing. we also say coke rather than soda or pop. and of course "ya'll" to address a group of people lol.
