  • Adam Gontier wrote Animal about his drug addiction. Skillet wrote Monster about some fantasy they dreamed up. Animal has some real emotion behind it, and it sounds darker as a result.

Skillet should stick to Jesus music.

  • Skillet and TDG are 2 of my fab bands.....monster and animal I have become are 2 of my fav songs from them so I really like this vid :) good work

  • pretty bad ass

i lke how at the end you can the end of Monster but faintly

    nice job :D

  • this song means what i have in side of me that is why i'm hiding it with in because i'm a threat to who you or anybody you and don't know that is why the song speaks to it is telling me to keep on hiding the monster within this is no lie believe or not you really don't want to see whats inside of me it is dangerous for every one to stay away I am the real deal monster if you don't believe ask the people that i let out the monster on trust me it is really dangerous

  • exelente combinacion de canciones

  • The only thing that would make this more epic is a dubstep remix.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! That's fucking fabulous! If Three Days Grace, Skillet and Chester Bennington (& Linkin Park) got together or toured or something that would be totally bad-ass!!!! I think I would die from over EPICNESS!!!!!

  • This is awsome, but not trying to be mean or anything, but the transisioning could be better

  • @SpazzyRox then you do it. ass

  • Awesome:)

  • They are not really in the same key..

  • :NotBad:

  • I think skillet sounds a little better.. No offense to u three days grace fans..

But i love em both :D

  • @beam227 well three days grace wrote the song first, skillet just changed the lyrics and a few notes and called it a new song. As a huge fan of both bands I was really disappointed with skillet on this one

  • I have to say I like this a lot :). But with a bit more editing and a few less harsh transitions it could go from great to ridiculously awesome. Consider re-doing it?

  • It was good except every time my favorite parts of each song came up it would switch to the other song. lol.

  • eh its okay, ya should work on the transitions, i still love it XD

  • These songs were made to be mixed.

  • @TheEmogurl16 actually skillet was not formed in the 80's. They were formed in 1996.

  • Sorry man, has potential but the transitions are a bit too rough and off beat to keep me head bouncing.

  • animal i have become+monster=awesomeness

  • These two songs mix way too well, but the editing could have been perfected a little more.

  • eh..its alright..super emo combo

  • damn DAMN good shit

  • EPIC

  • *course starts head explodes*

  • both songs fit me 100% absoluty so one is a bigger animal and monster then me O_O i'm a devil demon....

  • Meh....Skillet is better....Not really a fan of Three Days Grace

  • @ShatteredRoseX Regardless, Monster is a straight rip-off of Animal I Have Become.

  • @iconindy no its not !

  • @DesertDemon991 great argument.

  • @iconindy So not true....Skillet would never do that....

  • @ShatteredRoseX Yes because they have a moral obligation that trumps all desire for money.

  • @iconindy Um... not really. I dont even know how you came to that conclusion. Skillet and Three Days Grace are both great bands with great songs, and neither of them would "rip-off" another band.

  • @TranquilizeGirl That's not an argument. That's saying Skillet is too nice to do something dumb.

  • @iconindy Seems like the only one who cares is you. Cause I doubt even Three Days Grace gives a damn

  • @airsoftjunkie24 Well it would seem to me that many people care, seeing how many responses I received.

  • @iconindy obviously you dont know music. Or know enough about it. The meaning between Animal I have become, and the meaning of monster are completely different. Not because one is a Christian band and the other one isnt. As a fan of both bands. I'd have to say you're really stupid. Because If you hear in the monster song, "If i let him out, he'll tear me up and break me down." talking about sin,. And besides. Skillet has been out longer. Skillet formed in the 1980's. TDG-1990's

  • @TheEmogurl16

    1. Based on my comment alone, it is impossible to assume I don't know anything about music.

    2. The meaning between Animal I Have Become and Monster are painstakingly similar.

    3. Being a fan of both bands doesn't grant any merit to you calling me stupid, it just means you like Skillet and Three Days Grace.

    4. Skillet has been performing longer, but Animal I Have Become was written and released three years prior to Monster's release.

    Your argument is invalid.

  • @iconindy I just had this same convo on another video, you go man :P

  • @iconindy actually no, skillet has not been performing longer. skillet formed in 1996. three days grace formed in 1992.

  • @inthewoods1000 You're right. That just reinforces my initial point.

  • @iconindy So if anything, make sure you do your flippin research before you shoot off at the mouth. idiot.

  • u fucking killed it

  • I think i just found the greatest mush up ever..

  • This is so awesome

  • many thanks 4 the link

  • sloppy in some parts but GREAT job!

  • no words to explain how great this is lol

  • Sick Combo I like it.Love the name.

  • Swwwwwwwweeeeeeet

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!!

  • I sing them together anyway. Lololol

  • gold.! fuckin gold.!

  • It sounds really awesome, especially sense the guitar parts sound so similar it makes it almost melt together into one song . Great job =D

  • @XxNoxAeternaxX Sounded kinda weird to me, lol. Skillet was tuned to Drop B# and Three Days Grace was tuned up slightly higher to Drop C.

  • It's alright o.o I like it..

  • First song I heard by Three Days Grace and the first song I heard by Skillet? COMBINED? Siiiick :D

  • @skylarfied97 haha, same here :D

  • Damn this is bad ass

  • Oooh shiit that was badass.. But i like Three Days Grace song better

  • 2:28 scared me

  • F**K THIS SONG IS WHAT MY BRO SAYS. I LOVE IT!

  • hey this is pretty good! I think it worked perfect. i always thought they should sing together and hearing this, itd be perfect!!!! Love it!!

  • Could be a little bit smoother but the best on youtube. Nice job!!

  • i started rocking out to one song that kept changing XD that was so freaking funny i kept on rocking out to the first and i even got startled when it changed music lol!

  • this was pretty badass for the record

  • that was actually pretty damn cool

  • So good...it brought a tear to my eye as I watched it xD

  • i need a towel now xD

  • ......i love this

  • this made me laugh funny but good

  • when i clicked this i was like "this cant be real its too good to be true" but when i watched it i died happy

  • i thought it was cool when skillet used the growl and a non growl while saying feel like a monster at the same time! that was the best part of the whole vid!!

  • 1...2...ready... go !

  • Awesomeness! But there's skipping :/

  • 700 out of a scale of 0-1

  • @kingplaya999x More like: over 9000!!

  • Holy hell. I just jizzed my pants.

    And I don't even have a penis. ;D

  • thumbs up if you give this a 15 out of 15 ;D

  • @XxdarkilerxX no i gave it a 1,000,000,000 our of 15

  • @vibeon123 lol

  • @XxdarkilerxX i cant help it this song is awesomez

  • @vibeon123 lol ikr

  • @yogurtpimp nah

  • @yogurtpimp which it doesn't

  • @TheGobbler54 It does.

  • @yogurtpimp that song was not jacked from three days grace.. stop complaining and listen to the music.. they're both great bands!

  • @TheGobbler54 Yes it was. Or maybe they're just not that creative. Either way, I never said they didn't have talent. That doesn't stray from the fact that "Monster" sounds like a complete ripoff of "Animal I have become".

  • AWESOME!

  • Not really a mashup when you realize all Skillet did was jack Three Days Grace song in the first place.

  • @yogurtpimp *yawn*

Oh look, a predictable comment. Can't wait for your predictable reply...unless you're afraid that I already know what you're going to say...

  • @eclairep It's not really all that predictable if I'm wrong. Of course if I'm right, then you knew someone was gonna say something about it... thereby it being a predictable comment and correct in it's statement.

  • @yogurtpimp Hmm... as much as I hate to admit it, that wasn't nearly as predictable as what I assumed you would say, and a strong arguement- even if it IS incorrect... well, half correct. You ARE kinda correct about Skillet jacking Three Days Grace- I mean, sure, the songs sound A LOT alike. But I actually RELATE to Skillet's version, but Three Days Grace is much harder to connect to on a personal level, in my opinion. I think they're just similiar.

  • @yogurtpimp I agree. I like both artists, and both songs but, no one can deny that they sound hella similar and have basically the same lyrical style, and 3DG did come first. I'm not sure if Skillet deliberately ripped it off so much as it heavily influenced them, but its clear that they are basically the exact same song.

  • @yogurtpimp Dum ass ((Walks away))

  • @Hina4everSasu Dumbass. (Walks away)

  • @yogurtpimp Ahg!! aww it SOOO FREKEN HURT ME AWWHHAFEGTERGPOFBN NOT ¬¬'

  • ^^Mushup??? haha :)

  • 42 people are obvious really bad music lovers.

  • This is awesome, but it was kinda choppy...

  • skillet

  • Skillet is better

  • @gameinggangsta there is no better or worse, there's just personal opinion. I personally prefer Three Days Grace, it's cuz of them that I even started listening to rock at all

  • @THEST0N3RKID i'm sure breaking benjamin would've had the same effect;)

  • @QuassDebonair how so?

  • The first chorus was actually really good. Some of the transitions were kind of choppy, but almost all of the transitions from Monster to Animal I Have Become were smooth. Just not so much the other way around.

  • I love the songs jus not together : (

  • one two ready go!

  • Lol. 'Mushup'.

  • epic mushup

  • Not bad for what it is. Could have been done better, but it most certainly could have been done worse.

  • They're both great songs but this was really badly made...

  • Not really well made but this would be a really good song if three day grace and skillet teamed up

  • THIS IS THE BEST VRSN A THIS SONG I EVER HEAR..GR8 JOB

  • @biggesttmacfan Really? You must not listen to many of these, then. While I agree, he did a good job for what he did, there are quite a number of flaws in it. However, it's not complete shite, so I give him props for that. I've seen some really bad ones out there...

  • slightly rough in the transitions... but not too bad!!

  • @swordsmaster6 They must not be someone who is used to editing audio. But there's a few tasks, one the beat and rythm need to match during the transition. Other than that it's a pretty good mash.

  • One two ready go! XD

  • OMG That's exactly the same song O_o We can find the same words in the two songs. But I love them <3

  • The growl and John's normal single voice put together was epic.xD

Great combo!^^ Makes me wanna go listen to the original songs now.>.>

  • Comment removed

  • two great bands i like this keep makin them

  • yeah these two songs are like exactly the same, only difference is that monster is a christian view on sin and animal i have become is a secular view on sin.

  • I love this, Jesus Fuck.

Oh, and I like how you said "Mushup" instead of "Mashup."

  • i thought these songs sounded familiar anyway :D

  • ......

I saw the vid while listening to a remixed version of Monster.

    And....

Well, I actually like this. XD. I was so confused at first, like "whut?"

It's interesting to hear the difference between John's and Adam's voices, and the way the music just changes so abruptly. X3.

LOVE the combo of John's normal voice + the growl together. Sounds pretty awesome. :)

  • WOW! That's done really nicely done! Especially that the bpm is the same

  • very cool

  • cool :)

  • the idea is good, it's BRILLIANT, but the realization of the project is what I didn't like.

  • hmmmmmm How about a song with Linkin Park, Skillet, Three Days Grace, and oh maybe even Asking Alexandria....

  • @DoctorHackMaster

I think people might die from the amout of awesomeness hahaha...no but seriously that would be sick as shit

  • @DoctorHackMaster

And Alter Bridge and Breaking Benjamin and Early Rise!

  • @9TheManiac And 5 finger death punch!

  • @DoctorHackMaster Asking Alexandria?, That band not for me...personally don't like screamo

  • @DoctorHackMaster Hell F*CKIN YES

  • @DoctorHackMaster you were good all they up till u mentioned asking alexandria =P

  • could you make a vid on monster and have both growl and with out like in this one

  • this video is really cool :)

  • @SidewaysNinja1 oh you are most welcome;)

  • @yanks103 lol you fail, you corrected your grammar. he wins

  • @Cjmagnificent mahaha

  • @SidewaysNinja1 honestly dont give a shit about my grammar and spelling on youtube, yeah im in preschool, nice come back.

  • @SidewaysNinja1 ha, funny, whod u learn that one from? or are you still 14

  • blows.

  • you did a good job blending the music (sort of) but this is pretty amateur compared to the other stuff you can find

keep trying though youll get it

  • AMAZING SONG try to find awake and alive

  • this is pretty horrible, not gonna lie.

  • It's a good mashup, but it could use some work, what software did you use to make this?

  • Nice timing switching between songs. I like it.

  • Like if you think if Three Days Grace and Skillet did a song together it would be a EPIC song

  • @ScreamingPain19 YESSSS they definitely should! and it would be wicked EPIC!!!!!!

  • rocko 12

  • wow did theay do that for US

  • Comment removed

  • skillit just steal other peoples songs, mash them up, and add lyrics

  • I dont think this is all that bad. Good job on this

  • Honestly, I don't like it. But Good try.

  • This would be a great song if it was legitimately recorded as one entity, instead of cut and paste audio of the original two recordings

  • This is absolutely sloppy, leave the audio editing to the people who dont suck at it.

  • @izzy6780 It's not supposed to be professional, it's just some dude with a talent and a passion.

  • @TheThirdlayer well, i guess you could say he has passion, the talent is debatable.

  • i dont wwant to be mean cuse i like the both bands but i dont think that it shouldent be be combind and i dont want people to be mean to me to okayy iam just says that it shouldent be combined =p

  • They ARE the same song. I just heard Monster for the first time and even thought "This sounds like Three Days Grace"

  • amazing i like both bands and this is an awesome video please make more!!!

  • This is excellent...bad timing on a few of the pieces though...but you fit the lyrics in fairly smoothly...nice job. So what if you can see, the darkest side of me. I must confess that I feel like a monster!

  • Good idea, similar lyrics and they're both rock, both are awesome songs, but it just didn't work together. The differences in sound just didn't mix well. Also, for Monster at least once, maybe two or three times, you used clips where the lyrics didn't match with the video. For example at 1:46 John is saying "It's just beneath the skin," but instead you played "Feel like a monster" so the lyrics didn't match with this mouth which looks weird. That's just my opinion though, to each his own.

  • its ok, you need to work on the transitions and video timings

  • Awful mash-up man:(
