The truth is that all those spanish and european conquerors and destroyers of the Ancient Americas, where supported ideologically by their Catholic or Chrisitan Churches. For them , and also to the vast majorities of todays inhabitants of the American Continent, a good indian either was a dead indian, or a good indian is a catholic indian.
