you should add some color correction to the car windows reflection and to the characters where the light is taking more place like hands or head, nice work by the way :D keep going
@WedlakeProductions Then y not work on it before you publish it? I'm sure you could whip up a particle system thats twice as good as that in five minutes. Also for when the fluid mixture comes out where the curses have connected you could film milk being chucked out of a bottle infront of a green screen (or a thickish liquid that is opaque - i think custard with dye in it) and then composite it in and itll look great. Also do something with the surroundings so they interact with the curse.
@WedlakeProductions klkl i was making suggestions... have u tried 3d? a particle system in a 3d app might get you far. Takes a long time to learn though...
@WedlakeProductions Oh thats great. I'm learning 3ds max atm but have used maya. I prefer max - its easier than maya when your self taught. Are you self taught or do u go to a school?
@BXBProductions I am self taught in all my software which includes, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Maya, Muddox, 3DS Max, Apple Shake, Blender 3D, Mocha. Schools are not good for learning because you are limited by the other members knowledge. If they don't understand something usually you have to wait before they do until the teacher can progress.
@WedlakeProductions Ah sweet. Sorry about what i said before i didnt really pay attention to the title. So how have you self taught yourself? do u use digital tutors? you probably use video copilot though. But if you wanted to get into a studio like ilm or weta where would you begin. Cos there's only so much you can learn at home. Anyway what type of effects do u want to get into. Compositing, rendering, dynamics etc?
@BXBProductions Video Copilot came in useful very very early on. But don't just watch tutorials. the best way to learn is to open up the programme and play around with things. To work for ILM you would need to learn software such as Apple Shake or any other node based compositing programme. Also ILM use various different 3D apps. Whichever best suits the job. Weta almost always use Maya which is 3DS Max's big brother.
@WedlakeProductions yh i know all about studios and which software they use. Luckily my step mothers cousin works for framestore (largest vfx studio in europe) so he can give me points. Also what are your views on inferno flint and flame?
@BXBProductions I like all 3. All are node based which can be useful. I wish i could afford to learn them. All the ones I am learning or have learnt have been through student versions or trials or the full thing If I have had the money. Those 3 I can not afford just yet but hopefully some day will learn.

@JoshNicholsTV Yes Adobe After Effects

was that hard?
JoshNicholsTV 1 year ago
@JoshNicholsTV I wouldn't say hard. It was time consuming and involved a lot of experimentation.

Looks to me like the lightning effect with a badly used particle system in the middle of it. Part of it looks like the default...
BXBProductions 1 year ago
@BXBProductions None of it is default but the particles do need work.

@BXBProductions As the title says it was a "working progress". It goes up to show stages of my work and to also get feedback.

theHUNTERvideos 1 year ago
@theHUNTERvideos There was no camera movement because it was a simple test but I agree it needs better sparks...
