I did this back in 03 really hard work man! now im preparing myself for my new adventure in the oilrigs of North Dakota. un saludo a toda la raza trabajadora de todos los files. algunos gringos dicen que les quitamos los jales, que se vallan a juntar lechuga pa que vean los pendejos.
@ELtercermundista82 nombre pinche gringo no aguantan ni medio dia alli se desmayan ala verga los putos nomas son osicones pero si esa raza que corta todas las verduras no tragarian los perros malgradecidos jajajaajaj
Im a 48 yr old black man, my questions are who is goona pay for these peoples back pain 10yrs from now when they can barely stand up,is that field owned by a white man???? My mexicans brothers and sisters if that white man isnt paying you at 'LEASE' $12 an hour let him know what real pain feels like......Go on strike and let his lettuce rot in that field!!!
Come on Trinky know very well that those fields are heavily sprayed with a wide array of pesticides...be honest...of course that guy was spraying water...the crop was at harvest stage but yeah it was sprayed many times with pesticides before it reached harvest stage...show them spraying if you want to be honest !!!
Its industrial agriculture .Heavily sprayed, assembly line production, shipped thousands of miles. This is not farming!! Its commidity based factory food.Buy pesticide free local produce.
I just want to be clear that they are spraying water on the product to keep it fresh. And yes this food goes out to the entire country ASAP. For some, buying local produce is not an option. This is a killer- back breaking job, that most Americans are not willing to do no matter what the pay.
@59acres ya no one wants your pesticide free garbage. my company produces organic and we spray organic pesticides. our crews look just like this and the quality is kick ass. Plus we ship it to canada and newyork, from Salinas CA. No one listens to that ''local'' b.s.
yo trbajo en texas Dallas pa ser esacto donde a la planta ke llega este producto pagan 7 la hora en la mañana en la tarde 7.50 son unas chingas ...pero ya ke le hago ni chiyar es bueno esa es raza me cai
8.50 an hour, plus box bonus, plus health insurance, optical and dental... that is the usual rate for these guys... it adds up to a couple grand a month plus benefits. They work hard, take a fair salery and only the outsiders tend to complain. Los rateros son los otros Mexicanos que no quiren trabajar, querien ganar todo gratis...
I dont know where you got your info but these people DO NOT get health insurance, optical, dental...Farmworkers are among the most neglected laborers in America.
As an Agricultural employer, I get my infomation from first hand experience. Lettuce harvest workers for the big companies, Dole, T&A, etc get all of the above. There are others who are not as specialize who get less, but most now have benefits of one type or another. This of course is why more product is now grown in Mexico where those benefits are not given. Americans what produce cheap, and WalMart et al make no distinction between US or Foriegn grown product. Sorry to disapoint you.

They spray water on the butts to clean them. when they cut the plant the cytoplasm leaks from the plant cells and will turn it brown, So they rinse it.
a technical way to say they are washing the latex off before packing. Most of the lettuce these days is cut straight on to field packing machines where they have a hose to wash off the ends before packing... especially if they are going into bags. It looks much less ominious that a guy with a Solo wandering around the field...

this would not be aback breaking job no more because Taylor Farms released its new machine.Using high-pressure water jets to cut lettuce leaves,
Ramsay Highlander’s stainless steel lettuce harvester is being
used by a few large leafy greens growers in
California’s Salinas Valley.

modern day slavery in a modern nation. Instead of being bonded for life you are bonded seasonally.
