The Ritz Thrift Shop is closed. It closed about 3 years ago and the building has been torn down. Whoever bought the land was supposed to put another building in its place, but either they ran out of funding or the lot just isn't big enough.
Of course! I remember this commercial! I didn't spend near 30 years in front of the tv to forget it! Very sexy woman:-) I just wish she was buying a leather coat:-) you think "ritz thrift shop" is still open for business?
I grew up in the suburbs of NJ and I now live in Manhattan, a few blocks from where the Ritz Thrift Shop was located. It closed just a couple of years ago. I should have taken photos. The store front and signage were all original from the 1960s. Unfortunately, it has been totally revamped into some new electronics store.
I just got a message from a friend:
Friend: "I was obsessed with this commercial when I was young."
Me: "That's because you're gay."
