  • this looks so much like a porno is tragic

  • "You must dominate or be dominated!" Small words coming from a Klingon who choses to serve rather than conqure.

  • Death Star Superlaser + Constitution class Starship = Galactic domination.

  • all he gives is pheudo crap and hids all the real hidden tech

  • I don't like jj abrahms cause he locked in with Tom cruise and scientology..

  • No vulcan ship tried to blow the torpedo up before it hit the planet?

  • Why does everyone want to blow up Vulcan?????? Geeze.

  • The desert area that they used here for Vulcan looks like the exact same piece of desert the original series used in the Gorn episode. I recognize the diagonal, jagged outcropping of rock. I think they used this same area in many of the TOS episodes, didn't they?

  • Next stop Alderaan!

  • 3:15-3:25: I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

  • The biggest plot hole in this whole thing is how could Charlie X have any sort of closure by killing Kirk's pregnant mother? What satisfaction does he get from killing Kirk in that way? Thumbs up for this fan made flick, with real Trek actors involved, but thumbs down for the cliche alternate timeline plot. Also, Kirk was not THAT important. In his lifetime, he didn't save the Federation from going 'evil' so the notion it would without him being there, is a stretch.

  • gary mitchell got his god like powers from the barrier in TOS where no man has gone before. Kirk wasn't there to stop him. Christopher PIke was killed by gary mitchell. Gary takes the enterprise and takes over the federation. Simple as that. Kirk prevented Gary Mitchell from taking over the galaxy.

  • @Uridien I disagree. The story is that because Kirk wasn't there to stop Gary Mitchell, He was able to use his super powers to take over the Galaxy. It was established in TOS Ep 3. that Gary's powers were strengthening expodentially In a matter of days he was able to create things out of thin air. After a month? Or a year? He probably would've been able to give even the "Q" a run for their money.

  • This stuff can only aspire to be whale shit.

  • Boy. Both Tim Russ AND JJ Abrams have it in for Vulcan, don't they?

Not to mention James Cawley's ST: New Voyages, "In Harm's Way" (in that one, Vulcan was wiped out by 'doomsday machines' in an alternate timeline).

    Poor Vulcan...

  • I'm glad to see there are other people that hated that new Star Trek movie too. I think I'm going to say this on every video of this movie, FUCK YOU JJ ABRAMS.

Also, what exactly is Garret Wang (Harry Kim) supposed to be? He looks human (I think) but he's not wearing a uniform. And he's playing with a knife. I have no idea what he's supposed to be. I hope someone else does, at least. Other than that great show!

  • THIS movie should have been Star Trek XI, not that other angel dust-induced thing.

  • Great to see the original trek concept moving

forward with new twists! Wish they had done

    this with galactica!

    Jman

  • Is that Martok? (And is the slave girl Leeta?)

Not bad for an "amature" production (Lot larger budget than most amature movies, much smaller than real movies)

  • God, the effects are ok, but the story and acting are just embarassing. Seriously, I'm ashamed for everyone involved in this, "project."

  • 0:14 Hey! What's the gay guy from True Blood doing in here?!

  • BTW, I think Charlie went back in time and killed Gene Roddenberry, so the Star Trek universe ended up being invented by George Lucas. :C

R.I.P. Great Bird of the Galaxy. We'll always love you.

  • This is proof that Star Trek 09 is just a fan fic thingy.

On the whole, this one is better, mostly because it has an actual story. :D

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins You're an idiot. Typical of Star Trek XI haters.

  • @GundamLeviathan An idiot? Oh I see. Somebody who likes a different type of entertainment than /you/ do is an idiot.

So, people aren't allowed to enjoy different things, is that it? I'm more interested in a story (especially thought-provoking story) than a bunch of special effects and lense flares.

You might be different, but that makes neither one of us an idiot.

P.S. If you think this is so bad, why are you watching it?

  • @StoneKnivesBearskins LOL, thought provoking. That's a good one. I acknowledge that XI may not have had the most intellectual of storylines, but its writing and cinematography was possitively Shakespearian compared to the embarassingly amaturish dialog, direction, and acting that is in this mess. I'm not saying this as a hater as I have profound respect for everyone involved here. Still, for the amount of professionals involved in this fanfilm, the end product is inexcusable.

  • @GL I am not joking when I say I enjoy thought provoking stories.

This movie is not a mess, it's a fan movie. It isn't supposed to look professionally made because it /wasn't/ profesionally made. It was a bunch of fans working together and having a good time.

I find bits of this annoying, but the story itself is more interesting and better thought out than ST09, mostly because ST09 was written and directed by Star Wars fans. ST shouldn't be made by SW fans. The two frachises are too different.

  • @GundamLeviathan

You seem to be kind of people who genuinely believe that movie "Starship Troopers" was actual adaptation, not pastiche of Robet Heinlein's book.

Accept it: all full length ST movies were medicore at best, when compared to series, and ST XI isn't even canon (warp nacelles exhaust :|) and it even isn't Star Trek - though good space action movie for early teens on it's own right. And this fan made ...well, at least they tried.

  • @AnteyPL LOL, you're right. Starship Troopers isn't a true adaption of its source material. It was far superior as any intellectual will tell you.

  • This is such a beautifully epic movie! I can't believe this was fan-made. I love getting to see Walter Koenig again (he's still just as cute as he was in TOS!).

I am going to have to rethink my desire to live on Vulcan. For a planet that is peaceful and non-violent, it sure gets blown up a lot :)

  • its wierd to have good actors with terribal actors. it makes them all stand out.

  • if Gene Rodenberry were alive today XD im sure he would be speechless by the level of epicness in this fan film

  • @FLAME4564

He'd probably be pissed at how they destroyed Vulcan...he wasn't even big on the original Enterprise being destroyed.

  • @darthroden actualy i think he would probbly approve of that part of the enteprise being destroyed

i mean isint what Phase2 is for? to bridge the gap between TOS and TMP?

  • they do it for the love of the show, Thank you , all of you who participated in keeping Gene's dream alive. and for all the critics, if you can do better, then do so, or shut up

  • @spectre0075 How so? The concept of Charlie X, the Second Pilot, City on the Edge of Forever being recycled is not out of line. Consider Star Trek The Motion Picture, (recycle of the Changeling episode) nicknamed Where Nomad had Gone Before, the Wrath of Khan, or TAS episodes Yesteryear & More Troubles More Tribbles. Or do you prefer the GR plot device, "God" is either a computer or a superior alien being, or a mutated human given alien powers.

  • Fan made tribute episodes don't have million dollar budgets. I for one enjoyed to seeing the Russ, Koenig, Wang, and Nichols once more reprise their rolls (even if parallel reality), I saw nothing to be ashamed. The quality of the acting carried the episode.

Fans are what kept Star Trek alive, they wrote scripts, went to conventions even when Roddenberry had moved on after the Animated series.

Genesis II? Questor Tapes? Pretty Maids All in a Row. Who remembers these failures.

  • @spectre0075 Not a truer word spoken. Looks like they only had £500 or so to spend on special effects, cheaper than pissing directly onto Roddenberry's grave i suppose considering its inconvenient location.

This is sick fan boy self indulgence at it's very lowest, Tim Russ especially, Koenig, Wang, Nichols and the like should be ashamed to their very core.

  • Vulcan? You mean "Wulcan", Mr. Checkov?

  • Thanks for uploading the film in smaller parts...I have tried to watch this on the official site, but the clips frequently stall in the middle there.

  • The costumes are all over the place.

  • @crazychris589. are you"crazychris"? you abviously know nothing of the startrek vision or of its conciever (which was an adaptation of "The Forbidden Planet"

    ((See wikipedia))

I think gene roddenberry would be very proud of this.

For you to realise it you would need to know what pride, and 70,000 other words really mean.

Your comment is self evident, you have neither a mind to comprehend or a soul to know.

    Well done guys!

  • @The7of1 I agree. Gene and Majel Roddenberry would be very proud of this. Concept is good ... alternate time line using an event from TOS to spawn a result that could not be countered that would have started at TOS.

UFP RSE and KE all part of the galactic order and rebellion makes perfect sense.

  • man, was this intended to be in 3-D or something? what's with all the akward closeups?

  • In the last couple of Star Trek incarnations the planet Vulcan has gotten the snot kicked out of it, I can only imagine there is a room full of Romulans just laughing their arses off........

  • This is an abomination , and i cant beleave that the cast has participated in it . Gene Roddenberry would turn over in his grave !!!!!

  • This is an abomintion , and i cant beleave that the cast has participated in it . Gene Roddenberry would turn over in his grave !!!!!

  • Now I know how J.J. Abrahams got the idea to destroy Vulcan for his Star Trek film.

  • great...i like it...

  • I miss the people finding the artifacts of Vulcan in 2015 or so, and the impact of some of the Vulcan debris landing in Earth Pangaea, creating the Himalayas and the great crater, dividing the continents, creating the first weather on an Edenic planet... etc.

  • The deathstar in startrek?

  • This is a FAN effort??? BLOODY AMAZING!!

  • Cirroc Lofton is hot now :-O All ripped and toned. :-D

  • I know I'll properly get flamed for this... but Walter Koenig with his black hair here reminds me a little of Jackie Chan. Just a little.

  • 1701-Death Star

  • No way!!!!!! Seth Shostak is in this movie???? wow! What a surprise!! So finally he contacted alien life with his SETI project :)

  • NOT AGAIN!!!

Now we know where the idea come from, but this is only a "bad dream".

  • yeah it seems blowing up ..or collapsing vulcan...seems to be a popular theme..lol

  • @brickman73 Too bad Samuel Jackson isn't a Vulcan. "What, you think Vulcans aren't emotional???!!! Have your Mf'ing planet blown up twice in the same decade, and see how dam^ unemotional you are, MF'er."

  • Orci and What's-His-Face, the writers of the new Trek debacle, ripped this off so completely--it's not even funny. There's the time travel component and the destruction of Vulcan all in the same package!!! Holy cow! This is so much better than that crap...genuine Trek it be, mates.

  • @MinisterAilingTongue My thoughts exactly!

  • planet vulcan got destroyed again, pity them

  • now that is a torpedo

  • Chase Masterson looks good in green :)

  • Bravo!

  • Fantastic!

  • Damn the planetary explosion is arguably better than stuff used in the (real?) movies!!

  • Why does everyone want to destroy Vulcan? It's such a peaceful place. :(

  • After Kirk's demise, or rather not-being-born, the timelines shifted dramatically, and the Federation evolved into the Galactic Order, which subjugates other worlds into their Empire by enslaving them. Those who refuse, meet a similar fate as Vulcan. Nothing personal against the Vulcans - they just refused to be enslaved. To me this film is much better than the real new Trek film, because in this story, the timelines are allowed to be fixed before the end of the film.

  • @sixstanger00

So in other words, the Terran Empire with out the Vulcan slave race.

  • @Perion

in star wars galactic sentet, you can see E.T.

the breen also looks just like that bountry hunter

and one more i forgot at the moment.

sure it could all be conected

  • i've read alot of comments on many blogs and indeed on youtube. stop calling him enterpise B or that guy from generations or any other variation, it's Alan Ruck. he did do other things. EX: Spin City i had to put my foot down. not everyone does this but come on!

  • and ferris beuller's day off!

  • and twister

  • alan who. All I know he's the guy from the first 10 minutes of generations. LOL

  • He also played "Rabbit" on the movie "Twister."

  • I dont see your point, he is playing a role there. It not Kapitain Alan Ruck. We all know that he is an actor!.

  • Just how many times will they destroy that world? LOL Damn man!

  • You ought to go over to fanfiction and read AlbertG's story especially, A Thin Veneer Kirk Starkiller. Think Vorlon planetkillers versus Genesis Wave!

  • Wow... poor Vulcan... AGAIN!

  • Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Vulcan is the red-headed step child.

  • No! REd SHIRT Stepchild

  • warp rings? that's Archer's time!

  • Its been a bad couple of years for the planet Vulcan. Destroyed in two alternative timelines now!

  • Plenty of timelines left U know :-)

  • @turbotime1964 yeah, why does everyone want to see Vulcan blown apart?

  • @turbotime1964 It's becoming a pastime

  • Beautiful "STAR TREK - OF GODS AND MEN".

Molto, molto spettacolare e ben fatto.

  • far superior to the abomination misnamed "XI". Bring back Captain Sulu and Excelsior. Live Trek and Prosper.

  • I think if Garrett had this kind of meat on Voyager, Kim would have been SO much more interesting!

  • where the continuation?

  • Chase shouldn't have that red lipstick, but a dark green one.

  • is that the famed 'omega' particle?

  • lol cool. the explosion of vulcan looks better than the explosion of alderan in starwars o.o

  • Should have had the Praxis Explosion Effect though.

  • why? that one is almost 20 years old too. i think its good that they do something new and not just copy old stuff

  • @happosai21 and a glorious one too X : D

  • Is that Klingon commander Martok from DS9 ?

  • Yeah, that's him.

  • This was fantastic to see! It makes me so very hungry to see the new Star Trek movie when it comes out. With so many fans around the dream will never die.

  • I so appreciate this!!! It was absolutly wonderful!!! I cannot wait for the continuation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, thank you, and thank you! Steadicam nitpicking ha! Our original Trek looks horribly clunky nowadays, because technology's improved so much. Low budget and fanwork as this is, it looks a thousand times better than the classic series that some of us grew up on. But it's not the budget or technology that matters -- it's the story, the characters, the dialog, and the issues. THIS IS TREK. It is good! It is fun! It is new! What more could one ask for?

Bless everyone that worked on it.

  • wow the blond chick at helm is hot!

  • well we can all sit here and argue about how the camera work sucked or how the animation isnt up to par, but you have to remember they donated their time to make this on personal money and a skeleton budget. that being said, it is a great storyline with an all-star cast and the movie came together wonderfully. if you are a true star trek fan, perhaps you should give it 5 stars as they really worked hard and for free to make it and the storyline blows many original storylines away.

  • That was cool! It was really a great show : Yay Star Trek !!!

  • I love the cgi but again I cant watch any of it becasue I get motion sickness from the shaky cam.

  • OMFG!!!! who hired the steady cam?? does he have parkinsons???? wtf!!! I cant sit through this because of the constant shaking . ever heard of a tri pod dolly and zoom????

  • star trek fans unite! this is awesome for a fanwork. And a fanwork it is, but nice all together

  • tuvok seems less vulcan and who exactly is the actor for harry kim playing? the never name him

  • Shows like TNG and Voy have prooven that one doesn't need the original cast in order ro make a show that is above board - but one DOES need good writers - not good actors - good writers... and that's something they just don't have... )-:

  • I have never liked time travel stories either. They are a writers way to be lazy and escape having to research canon because he can do whatever he likes in an alternate timeline/universe, etc. Time travel is simply not possible. Too many paradoxes. It's too big of a stretch, even for sci-fi.

  • @onlineequines Star Trek was never about Sci-Fi. It was morality tales or Wagon Train to the Sky.

Time Travel Stories have been frequently used, The last Star Trek Movie, The TNG Movie about Zephran Cochran and the Borg and in TNG episodes, and most notably in the TOS, Assignment: Earth, Tomorrow is Yesterday, The City on the Edge of Forever, All Our Yesterdays, and in the TAS, Yesteryear and to name a few. City on the Edge of Forever one of the best Stories and TAS sequel the worst.

  • @onlineequines what i find most funny that one event always magicly changes everything and always for the worst and it's always everbody becomes evil and starts wearing leather gloves or just somehow looses the morales just silly

  • well it's also the characters too. TOS has interesting and dynamic characters something they don't have on TNG and Voyager. They have their own appeal but they're not exciting.

  • @MrHoppers002 You don't find Picard to be an Interesting or dynamic character? Not to mention the acting chops of Sir Patrick Stuart surpass anyone that's ever been on Star Trek.

I love TOS but, I disagree with your statement strongly.

  • picard is a classy character that's more of the thinker type. patrick stewart is a top notch actor but picard the character is ok.

  • "Live long and ...... *BOOM!*

  • this movie is confusing as heck!

  • Too bad they canceled star trek in 2005. Thanks for uploding this movie, I heard about it but did not know what it really was.

  • No problem. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • I Love The Mirror Enterprise

  • Actually this is not a mirror Enterprise, it is an altered time line of TOS.

  • Actually the mirror universe in TOS (and the star trek continuum for that matter) is in fact a seperate time line. Certain events have changed the outcome of history therefore making an Empire instead of a Federation. This can be seen in the mirror episodes and some of the Star Trek books concerning the mirror universe.

  • All of this time travel stuff gets confusing.I generally see time travel episodes as weak story writing. This was good because, somehow, the Gaurdian makes it ok.Still I would prefer more'realspace'stories about the trekverse, especially TOS era.
