Although I use the NKJV in the pulpit, I really enjoy the NLT, and frequently quote from it, as it expresses the "thought' of the Biblical text in such clear way. I praise God for the many good translations we have, some more literal, some more devotional, etc.
@October31st1517 Where the word of a KING is, there is power, Ecclesiastes 8:4 says. How many of the 200 Bibles were authorised by a king? Just one... I didn't block you btw, but i do have my privacy settings so no stranger can send me a personal message.
@October31st1517 Sure, but the best place to start that I can recommend to anybody who is seriously interested in the Bible version issue is to visit husky394xp's channel on YouTube. You'll find your documented proof right there of why ALL the new versions are Satanic counterfeits.
The FRUITS of King James Onlyism... The only person shown on this video wicked enough to attack the Holy KJB is now CATHOLIC & holds a position at Strake JESUIT college prep. You can read about his conversion to anti-Christ online. This is because ALL Bibles since 1881 are Catholic. Fruit of the new versions?ROME!
@needthylovingkindess I bid thee a good morrow. Cans't thou tell me, what evidence is there be, that the KJB is inspired or preserved by His triune holliness? Canst thou provide? Thoust does proveth the point of this video.
@needthylovingkindess Unfortunatley, husky394xp, as all KJV onlyist's, go under the ASSUMPTION that the KJV is the authority to go on. This is my main issue. Why when comparing bible translations must we compare it to the KJV? Why not the Geneva bible? BTW thank you for blocking me.
Good job God choose the mighty and wise and noble people of this world, or we'd have lots of these weak and despised and foolish people running around. As if God would choose people like THAT! 1 Corinthians 1:28 must obviously be an error in the Greek somewhere.
Why aren't I on this video? I'm KJB only, and my bodily presence is weak, and my speech contemptible. You could have made much more effective ridicule if you had used me.
I tell ye right now, people better get started learnin' to speak American like Jesus did, or there a gonna believe the biggest lie the devil ever told 'em!!!!! Woooooooo!!!!!! and HACK!
There it is! At 3:40 "I would be glad to HELP HIM understand it." He don't "understand it". That's the blind leading the blind. How is he when he don't speak Spanish either? The problem is, this guys faith is not in the word of God, its in a Greek lexicon. Paul didn't write those words either. So, if God didn't preserve it, you are a fool for digging in the Greek. Inspiration without preservation is a divine waist of time.
Lol, was that the best you could do??? And that idiot that at 3:20 wants a Spanish guy to learn Greek (a dead language) over English (the universal language of today). In the OT, the Bible was in Hebrew, in the NT, Greek and in these last days, English (and not the sloppy English of today). In fact, the KJV is so far ahead that the authors of the "New" versions continually compare their versions to the KJV because IT IS THE STANDARD... (not the NIV, ASV, NKJV etc) even after 131 years Lol!!
How can you say (in the text @ 4:22) that you see no evidence that God has inspired or preserved the KJV? I have a King James Version. Now, you show me one original greek manuscript...they have not been preserved. Matter of fact, you cannot prove by demonstration that the originals where written in Greek (You would have to find one to prove that.) Then if you provided an original greek, you would have to deal with the fact that it would be mostly a translation in itself. Jesus didnt speak Greek.
You worship a freak'n C.A.R.P.E.N.T.E.R. and got the nerve to sh*t on a former Pole Hole Digger who at least received a Phd from Colmbia University? Are you even serious? Jesus...had he existed wasn't even LITERATE... name one book he wrote. Fool couldn't even write the Bible, a bunch of homosexual Greeks had to penn it. I can't even take you seriously... and you? You can't even 'see me' in the brains dept. A carpenter... not even in the Union.
The problem presented to us with KJV only peeps is the same wth all religious fanatics, bullheaded stubborness based upon ignorance.
Yt is truly an open forum for every tom, dick and harry + their dog to espouse their folly before the whole world.
While the KJV is certainly thee best version of the scriptures it is not without fault and others versions, such as the much despised NIV, is not without profit.
A working knowledge of the Hebrew Aramaic and Greek will bear this out.
KJV Onlyism is perfectly defined in the YouTube video King James Follies 5. It is like taking a trip to Disney World and fawning over the sign and claiming it is the one true sign to Disney World and all other signs are plots set up by Sea World to deceive you.
I didn't say anything was corrupt because of the influence of it's translators. Don't misquote me buddy, read what I said. I never said I backed up the beliefs of the translators. Learn to read before directing your comments.
@contiricci The point is, without the Greek and Hebrew (& Aramaic), you'd not know if your Bible is correct, now would you? The NWT is all English, but it has nothing to do with the truth of Jesus Christ. You also wouldn't have any idea about the transmission of scripture and would be suceptible to the likes of Bart Ehrman or any other charlatan on the scene who wants to challenge your Bible. You cannot defend doctrine if you don't know where it comes from. KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE.
@contiricci That is your opinion and it cannot be supported by facts. You continue to do that on these pages. It's perfectly fine to have an opinion, but you can't have an honest exchange of information that way. The Hebrew and Greek matters and without them, we'd not have our scriptures. That's a fact you cannot deny. Bunyan was a Calvinist as were the KJV translators, and of course, Stephanus and Beza. You cannot escape these facts. You don't seem to know what you believe.
@SkiesVibrant Even though they were Calvinists, (some not all) the King James Bible is not a calvinist version. It is against Calvinism every where their doctrine shows up. The Greek and the Hebrew are not necessary right now - God gave us the English. Besides, the Hebrew and Greek won't shed any light on the Scriptures other than what you can find in the English.
@bmwhite1611 This is why you folks have problems. You call other versions perverted or corrupted because of the influences of the translators, but you can't see that with the KJV translators. It's not logical and I suspect you know that. The KJV translators all signed the Church of England's 39 articles of faith. Read it. There is no Calvinist version of the Bible. Let me assure you the KJV translators thought the Greek was very important and rightly so.
"The WHOLE Christian Bible was derived from the sacred books of Egypt, such as: THE BOOK OF THE DEAD,THE PYRAMID TEXTS, AND THE BOOKS OF THOTH." EA Wallis Budge (Keeper of the Egyptian and Assyrian Antiquities at the British Museum)
"The entire Christian Bible, creation legend, descent into and exodus from Egypt, ark and flood allegory, Israelite history, Hebrew prophesy and poetry, Gospel, Epistles and Revelation imagery, ALL ARE NOW PROVEN to have been the TRANSMISSION OF ANCIENT EGYPT'S SCROLLS AND PAPYRI into the hands of later generations which knew neither their true origin nor their fathomless meaning"
@TheTimeforwar Go back and read your Bible and see what God thinks of Egypt. He wouldn't even use them for horses. Just the same old garbage from American education. Theosophy is satan worship.
U don't have a clue as to what 'God' thinks about Egypt as you have yet to consult 'God' concerning the matter of Egypt. You have instead consulted a book written by homosexual Greeks in Alexandria Egypt in the 3rd century BCE; a book which features 'spiritual truths' observed and a.u.t.h.o.r.e.d. by the original founders of the doctrine 'salvation and resurrection'; the Ancient African Egyptians; 'spiritual truths' couched in a false historical narrative. Unimpressed
And trust me... 'My Bible', is the O.R.I.G.I.N.A.L. 'BIBLE' from which Y.O.U.R. homosexual freaks... I mean 'GREEKS" p.l.a.g.i.a.r.i.z.e.d. the Ancient African Egyptian doctrine of... salvation and resurrection. If you've a problem with historical realities you should've told your homosexual Alexandrian Greek plagiarists to make 'the Bible' 'a-historical' instead of manufacturing and perpetuating a false historical narrative.
U christians kill me w. ur illogical, cognitively dissonant, poor excuse 4 'logic'.
'Studying law' & 'p.r.a.c.t.i.c.i.n.g. law' R 2 diff. things, just the same as 'studying Satan' & 'p.r.a.c.t.i.c.i.n.g. Satan-ism' R 2 D.I.F.F.E.R.E.N.T. things. 'S.t.u.d.y.i.n.g.' the behavior of 'idiots' (like urself) does not by default somehow make one an 'idiot' themselves, any more than studying a 'corpse' makes 1 'deceased'.
If Studying 'Satan' by default makes one a 'Satanist' then christians R, by the very definition of ur argument, the BIGGEST SATANISTS on the freak'n planet.
U wanna find reading material on Satan 2 s.t.u.d.y. Satan? What greater source 4 such Satanic reading material is there than, THE BIBLE? The evil 1 gets marketing & promotion in the Bible ONE HUNDRED SEVEN TIMES , Adam doesn't even make it 2, thirty-one. Whose studying what? U satanists are so ambiguous.

@TheTimeforwar My Bible is not from Alexandria - it's from Antioch Acts 11:26. I believe a King James Bible, not one of these new "bibles" which comes from all the stuff you're saying. PHD = Post hole digger. It's funny. Lighten up. Education isn't everything.
@contiricci C'mon, be fair. Anyone who has followed this nonsense on YT knows that Calcium Boy is at :46. He's a Ruckman fan. Next guy ended up being trounced by James White What exactly is your point about Bunyan having an original English language Bible? Do you have any facts to support your statement? We'll all be waiting to see how you can substantiate winning more souls than all the scholars ever. If you want to be taken seriously, show the evidence.
@contiricci You seem like a fair person. I think if you do an independent look at the transmission of scripture, you will perhaps reconsider. Focus on the difference between heretical, gnostic & Apocryphal writing. Keep the rules of textual criticism in mind while you study. Remember that there are no fundamental doctrinal differences in either set of manuscripts. God did indeed keep his word for us and it matters not what continent they came from. I have resources to help.
@contiricci I understand that 'isms' make everyone a little crazy as there are few purists. The best site on Luther is probably 'Beggars All'. Give them a look, I think you will be surprised at the depth you will find. Our labels are defining us less and less. Think about it. We have the KJV, idolized by the Onlyists (not those who prefer the KJV) who despise Calvinism, all the while clinging to a Bible edited and translated by Calvinists.
@contiricci You either have a faith you believe in or you don't. To say that Presbyterians (of any stripe) or Lutherans (of any stripe) have the same statement of faith is ludicrous. It's probably better to describe any creedal differences. Springing from the Reformation does not adequately describe the Doctrines of Grace. Lutherans are generally Arminian, and most Presbyterians are Calvinist.
I saw the White/Mooman debate and White effectively cleaned his clock.
@contiricci Okay... sounds good. I have heard James White teach the gospel repeatedly. I'm sorry you haven't. You can however get his sermons. I think it very unfair to link James White with people such as Camping & the Westboro Vipers. I suspect you know that. You may not like the video, but I find it very representative of the nonsense that has produced and flourishes in KJ Onlyism. Muddled thinking, inconsistency and a simmering anger.
@contiricci Really? You do know that two of the editors of the Textus Receptus were Calvinists? Yes? Theodore Beza (who succeeded Calvin) and Stephanus. Then those pesky KJV translators were almost all Calvinists. I'd sure love to hear how you reconcile this.
If you prefer the KJV, I have no problem with that. It's a very good translation. But that's all it is. Even the KJV translators said that even the meanest translation was the Word of God.
@metaneo1 I answered your question now answer mine. Why can't you show the spiritual fruit of the new versions or explain the move towards secular forms of music, worship, etc. and away from "Thus saith the LORD" by their proponents? Either the world is getting churchier or the Church is getting worldlier. What do you think? The Whore of Babylon has children you know, don't you? She is the Mother of Harlots. Ask Nadab and Abihu what God thinks about strange fire, See Jer. 6:16-19
@mwilson70201 To answer this one I have to ask a question. What do you call "spiritual fruit"? If you're referring to how many people walk and aisle and pray the mythical "sinner's prayer" then I'd say they stack up right alongside the KJV in those unbiblical fruits. The KJV has been around hundreds of years longer than the modern versions, so it would stand to reason there would be more "fruit" - that's a no brainer. However, you can't throw out the baby with the bath water.
@metanoeo1 No I'm not talking about a magic formula for salvation but real conversion. I'm talking about the fear of the LORD, Holy Ghost conviction, repentance, faith, holiness, a new life evidenced by a new direction. If you think preaching that implores sinners to be saved is unbiblical you need to read the bible again. II Co. 5:20 Paul said " Now then we are ambassadors for Christ as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God."
@mwilson70201 Just clarifying, don't get all in a dither. If you will read my other posts in answer to your questions, you'll see that I agree there are modern translations that are in gross error, but not all of them. There is nothing about the KJV that is "inspired" or "authorized" by God, only in man's eyes. As I said above, the KJV has hundreds of years on modern versions, so it should have more results. I don't believe you can become dogmatic about the KJV or any other TRANSLATION.
The TR, from which the KJV was translated, came 1,100 years after the texts used for translating my preferred version. I'm not beating a drum to say the KJV is wrong, bad, or leading people astray to the pit of hell with no proof of that, like so many KJV Onlyists do regarding other translations. There are numerous inaccurate modern translations of the Bible and there are many that are very accurate. Parting from an antiquated form of English doesn't make those versions wrong.
@October31st1517 The idea that God couldn't or wouldn't preserve his word is a modern one and the fruit of this is evident. Watered down preaching, worldliness, carnal worship, rock music instead of hymns, skits instead of sermons, gays in pulpits. Can you deny it? By their fruits shall ye know them. I Sam. 2:30 "...for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed." Ps.138:2 "... for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."
@JacksonKBH How about gospel metal, or rap. What fellowship hath light with darkness? Learn not the ways of the heathen. The heathen aren't confined to jungles the local malls are full of them.
@mwilson70201 true, but you have to examine the actual music described in the bible and see it for yourself, For example, God is not against minor keys in music (Psalm 49) nor is he against secular love songs in the context of marriage (Song of Solomon) and obviously he is NOT I repeat is not against bodily movement to music (various scriptures on dancing mentioned in a positive light)
@JacksonKBH I don't think I said he was against love songs or dancing before the LORD as David did. My problem is with the use of secular embellishments to draw in people instead of the power of the gospel. While what is acceptable varies what is not is clear. If Satanist bang their heads to it and rappers use their filthy language to it I can't imagine God receiving it. Stirring the flesh and lifting the spirit are two different things and I have no doubt you realize this.
@mwilson70201 Yes I do, but I dont want to argue anymore.....however I suggest you check out Klezfiddle1, his channel is full of ancient music that more likely than not is what wouldve been closer to how ancient biblical music sounded, I also suggest you check out the works of Suzanne Haik-Vantoura, she actually dechipered musical texts from copies of the masoretic hebrew text, which the KJV was partially translated from. I think youll be surprised at how many of these psalms actually sounded
@JacksonKBH Thanks for the lead on Klezfiddle one, I enjoyed his rendition of ancient Hebrew songs. I'll check out Vantoura also. Grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord.
Tell you what. you pick 1 or 10 or 20 or more new translations and lets compare spiritual fruit shall we. I'll start with the great awakening and men like Whitefield, Finney, Tozer, Ravenhill, Sunday, Havner and Moody. Why Moody alone preached to an estimated 10,000,000 souls with perhaps a million conversions. Whitefield commanded audiences of thousands in rural America. Both without tv or radio ads, comfortable arenas or power point presentations. Just the old black book. Your turn. Good luck.
@October31st1517 It's very simple. The AV translaters believed they were handling the word of God and did so with fear and trembling. Modern scholars attitude: James Barr in The Bible in the Modern World sums it up. "My account of the formation of the biblical tradition is an account of human work. It is man's statement of his beliefs." pg 120. "And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more for every man's word shall be his burden ye have perverted the words of the living God..." Jer.23:36
@mwilson70201 Are you at all familiar with the term context? Didn't think so. In Jeremiah, the verse you quoted is referring to false prophets and false priests who mock, jeer at, or show contempt for the Word of God.
@metanoeo1 I'm aware of the context. Do you not understand practical application? Though not prophets the modern translators have the same attitude. Offer the peolple something new, something they will like. And why? For profit and self promotion. Has the language changed so much in the last 100 years to demand constant revision. No, but the professing church has. PETA praised the new NIV for it's animal friendly tone. Coming soon to a bookstore near you a gender nuetral God. Mark my words.
@mwilson70201 I understand practical application very clearly and am aware that there are some modern translations that are just nonsense. However, I also understand that there are other modern translations that are more accurate than the KJV. Just because one guy says that, doesn't mean that's the attitude of all of the people involved in translating every modern version of the Bible. Clearly there are versions whose purpose is to pervert the gospel, but not all of them fall under that heading.
@October31st1517 He's saying the since the new Bibles there has been - no major revivals, no new information on the word of God, and no good fruits - just Bible correcting reprobates. The fruits of the new versions are a dearth of the knowledge of God's word and a famine Amos 8:11
@LionPebsX I believe God's word as well. I just find it hard to believe that God has PRESERVED His word in english. a language that didn't even exist at the time THE BIBLE was written.
@October31st1517 That means when you read your "bible" you don't believe it since it is in English. God's name isn't allah, you don't need to know the orginal languages to hear it and read it, this isn't Islam where the Qur'an can only be read in arabic.
You know "warrior" at least they are reading a BIble. ALL Bibles say the same fundamental thing. If KJV only crowd would sit down and be quite and quit blaming some so called liberal translation like NIV as corrupt, they might go a lot further. I remember someone that would not send anything but a KJV to people that lost theirs in the Katrina crisis. Please do the research "warrior" the KJV is not a pure translation from Majority Text either.
I violate romans 13-1-2 daily infact, i make it my lifes mission and Paul was a tool, ok? I cant for the life of me, ever belief God out this 100% evil corrupt governments on the earth.
It's a shame that you claim to be Christian, but resort to such sophomoric method's to bash KJV only-ists. Remember that Jesus said if you call your brother (in Christ) a fool (racca), you're in danger of hell. Publicly making your brothers look foolish is no different.
I wonder what Billy Sunday and D.L. Moody thought about the King James Bible? Why is it they believed God and his words and won hundreds of thousands if not millions to the Body of Christ? Why is that?
The apostasy today is running rampant. It's troubling to see most Christians reading their NIV or message as their "favorite translation" because they've been educated to the level of ignorance coming out of the mouths of professors at 95% of seminaries. Believing you or any man as the right to run to the Greek and tell God he was wrong is the height of stupidity in Christianity.
It's time to stop following men like the Popes, Westcott and Hort and your favorite "godly scholars" and it's time to follow the Holy Spirit and submit yourselves to the King James Bible as God's FINAL AUTHORITY. The Bible which truly exalts the Lord Jesus Christ instead of editing passages in hundreds of places to remove SOUND DOCTRINE relating to his deity.
As for me, I'll believe the HOLY SPIRIT and not the babbling perverted translations showing themselves to be ROTTEN fruits thanks to Alexandrian "scholars" who were fanatical Roman Catholics and the INSANE perversion of Westcott and Hort who spent their free time in necromancy and denied the fundamentals of the faith.
You aren't going to hide and act like you believe the Bible when you DON'T. Those of you who do not believe the King James Bible is 100% perfect, you believe all translations are of men based on the "best manuscripts" and "original languages". You think the God of the Universe lied to you because you don't believe in a 100% accurate word of God. It's a real disgrace to see Christians being willfully ignorant and purposely lying.
Some of you are going to stand before Jesus Christ at the Judgment Seat (IF you are saved) and he is going to ask you, "why didn't you believe my BOOK?" And boy aren't you going to be trembling.
Those of you who think you can sit in judgment on God's words and heed some hip scholars opinion on passages, listen to your seminary cutting the Book to pieces by carrying on about how the Greek and Hebrew are more accurate; or those of you appointing yourselves as your own authority are participating in utter foolishness and are making God out to be a liar.
You know what your problem is? You are a BIGOT against God and his words as the Final Authority. You'd prefer to take a pair of scissors to the Bible and cut out whatever you don't like or don't understand. The "scholars" who sit on the new perversion committees are a pathetic JOKE compared to the King James translators and their attitude toward God. They were simply putting ink on paper so God's very words could be read by the common man.
The King James Only Movement, especially the Independent Fundamental Baptists tend to discredit the study of Hebrew and Greek. King James Only is also refuted by the fact that the original language of the Bible was Hebrew and Greek. Thanks to websites like Blue Letter Bible, we can now study the Hebrew and Greek languages with a lexicon.
What's wrong with the Hebrew and the Greek? It is the original language of the Bible, particularly Hebrew for the Old Testament and Greek for the New Testament.
And no, I have intention on exalting myself. I just simply would like to study the Hebrew and Greek so that I can understand the meaning of Scripture better.
@Kyouryuu5000 if you want to understand the meaning of Scripture better, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance as HE IS THE AUTHOR of the King James Bible. You should always follow the teachings of the Holy Spirit and interpret Scripture with other Scripture and NEVER Greek or Hebrew nonsense that seeks to give man the ability for textual criticism and give man the false authority rather than God.
The King James Bible shall stand forever. The words of God are contained in that sacred Book. The words...they are LIFE and they are spirit....they are alive because they are revelation from God. The King James Bible sits in judgment on mankind, therefore many men hate the Book and many Christians simply refuse to submit to it as the Final Authority. They would rather sit in judgment of God and deem what "a better translation would be..."
Someone should go into an ecumenical "church" building and tell everyone to read a certain passage in their Bible, preferably one that is a crucial doctrinal matter. The response would be something to behold. You'd hear a bunch of gibberish because of people reading their favorite perversion at the same time. Some would sit silent, baffled as to why their "Bible" removed half or the entire verse. It would sound like the FAKE NONSENSE of talking in tongues today,
@warriorspikes51 ::: Very clever. The whole bible is a perversion. It is not the word of God and has never been no matter what translation you use. Bart Ehrman, who believes in the reality of Jesus, is convinced the bible is only the word of man, while Carlton Pearson says it is man's word about God and is not to be taken literally.
Reference "The Bible Fraud" by Tony Bushby; "Antiquity Unveiled" by Roberts; books by A.B. Kuhn; the Oahspe by Newbrough. Bye bye bible!!!
@k0smon You want to waste your free will telling lies about the Bible? Go ahead but count me out on that. You mentioned the works of heretics as references. It's time to stop following a man and follow the word of God instead.
@k0smon looks like Bart failed to discern the spirits and follows a false christ who for some unknown reason is divided against his own kingdom and abhors his own perserved, perfect, inspired revelation. Toss all of Bart's writings in the trash heap where they belong. Carlton Pearson is prancing around proudly showing off his demoniac nature when relating to the words of God. FALSE teachers.
@k0smon so you are openly admitting your idolatry? You would rather believe a deluded man than God's Book? I am very sorry to hear that. Very troubling,
There is plenty of evidence, manuscript evidence that supports and agrees with the King James text. 95-99% of the 5,400+ manuscripts that we have today agree with the KJV text. And it's been proven time and time again. The philosophy and mindset that a genuine King James Bible Believer has is one of final authority and confidence. The philosophy of the modern and new versions is one of doubt and no final authority.
@October31st1517 That is wonderful, glad you believe in the Trinity as do I. But generally speaking, the philosophy behind the modern versions is that there is no perfect bible. According to the new version proponents, they all have errors in it. And that is simply incorrect. The King James Bible is the standard. It has no errors or contradictions in its text. And all the "supposed" errors that are said to be in the KJV have all been cleared up and refuted.
@177Jeremiah7 WRONG! First off you need to prove that the KJV is the standard to go off on. You nor any KJV onlyist has been able to do so. 2ndly, the AV does have errors in the translation. Matt 28:1 is a great example of this. The term "FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK" is not even in the text. It's the greek word for the plural for sabbath, which is SABBATHS. I am more interested in what the Apostles wrote than what a baby sprinkling calvinist translation.
@October31st1517 Which Bible do all the modern versions attack? The King James Bible. Also, I've noticed that there are no NIV onlyists, or ESV onlyists, or NASB onlyists. Very interesting, I wonder why that is. Maybe because the philosophy of the "educated scholars" that support the modern versions and attack the KJV, is that all bibles have flaws and errors. Again, like I mentioned previously, those "supposed" errors that are said to be in the King James Bible, have all been refuted.
@October31st1517 Can you prove that Matthew 28:1 is an error? Even the modern versions translate it as "first day of the week." Matthew 28:1 is translated correctly in the King James Bible. And it's already been proven that the KJV is the standard. It has been in use for 400 years now.The KJV was translated in Elizabethan English. And at the time that it was translated, the English language was at its height. And ever since then, the English language has deteriorated in some degree.
@October31st1517 What the Apostles wrote can be found in a King James Bible. If your opinion is otherwise, it is irrelevant and of no consequence to reality. Reality is The King James Bible stands no matter who says what about it. You think you can tell God how he should speak?
@177Jeremiah7 Really, can you prove that the KJV is the final authority? No you can't. Even the KJV translators said that even the meanest translation is still the word of God. Obviously, if the KJV translators didn't believe it was the final authority, so you have a serious problem. Then go do your research about what Christians initially thought of the KJV. Hint: they behaved the same way KJVO's do. Childish name calling, & just plain meaness. Stop the divisness. It's very unChristian.
@SkiesVibrant Your lying is very obvious. Your ATTACKS on God's BOOK are SATANIC. And you are a hypocrite for claiming that name calling and just plain meaness is unChristian when you are calling anyone who believes the King James Bible and defends it to be a cult leader. The one being divisive is you. You are claiming God FAILED and is incapable of keeping his words without the help of today's best "godly scholars".
@Keruaran Actually it is. In fact, it is the very Bible that exalts Jesus Christ the most and that affirms His deity. The other translations (modern versions) attack His deity. By the way, The King James Bible has been used for 400 years now. It is the standard. How many years has the NIV been around? Or the Living Bible? Or the Revised Standard Version for that matter?
No, if you want to check the faithfulness of any English translation of the Bible to the Hebrew and Greek texts you don't do so by comparing it with another English translation, you go to the Hebrew and Greek text. Your claim that you do is more than simply illogical, it is idiotic and stupid. Your ignorance does not belong in any Christian Church.
@Keruaran While it is good to learn Hebrew and Greek, it is simply not necessary. For I simply choose to believe God's promise of word preservation (Psalm 12:6-7). And for you to not see that the modern versions contradict each other and how they attack the blood atonement & the doctrine of Salvation is quite unfortunate and sad.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (KJV)
By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness: He who was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory. (NASB)
What did I already tell you? You don't just arbitrarily decide the KJV is the benchmark by which other English translations are measured by. You establish the reliability and faithfulness of any translation by its fidelity to the best Hebrew and Greek texts available. I'm sick and tired of going over textual criticism 101 with KJVonlyists. Please, just grow a brain.
@Keruaran Grow a brain? Lol. The modern translations are based on corrupt manuscripts. The Vaticanus and Sinaiticus (Alexandrian text-type) are definitely not reliable. It has been documented that both Vaticanus and Sinaiticus disagree with each other well over 3,000 times just in the four Gospels alone!
Yes, grow a brain. The totally bankrupt stupidity of arbitrarily making an English translation of the Bible the benchmark by which we weigh value of any other English translation of the Bible does not put you in any position to talk New Testament textual criticism with me. You're just not qualified. I've heard all the mind numbingly ignorant conspiracy claims of KJVonlyists before and I just don't have time for it.
@Keruaran It sounds to me that you are blind and cannot see the truth. There is a Satanic conspiracy against the King James Bible. It is estimated that there are over 150 English translations of the Bible today. Let me ask you, do you think they all say the same thing? Do you think they all are the word of God?
Obviously, they do not say the same thing and they are not the word of God. In order to get a copy right, a translation must have enough changes to be considered a "new work."
@Keruaran And the translation must be original in itself.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33) So, let me ask you now, who do you think is behind all these new versions?
@Keruaran King James Bible believers are concerned about the Judgment Seat of Christ, you should be too...especially since you just ignorantly spoke about people who love God's Book.
In the face of ongoing abject nonsense and stupidity from KJV onlyists I will not only say you are "more than a little off", I'll go further and say that KJV onlyism attracts only morons because it takes a great deal of moronic stupidity to so willfully ignore the facts in favor of listening to the likes of Riplinger whose egregious distortions and lies are so very well documented. You actively choose to be a moron.
@Keruaran looks like Riplinger's accurate research ruffled your feathers. She must have picked on one of your favorite scholars. Or maybe you just love your lexicon too much.
You've got to be kidding me. I've never seen a book with more blatant distortions, misrepresentations, and errors PER PAGE than "New Age Bible Versions". Any layperson who has had enough sense to do the most basic fact checking on her material has found her writing to be completely false. Your cause is completely discredited by books like hers, and because you support this garbage your credibility is also zero.
Give me a break. KJV only people quit blaming liberalism on other versions. Anybody ever noticed KJV uses "manstealing" as going against the Torah and not the word "slavery" as in other translations. History also shows KJV was a developed by King James to use a against Geneva holder Puritans. He does not learn from history is doomed to repeat folly.
@graysonbr really? It looks to me like you have FAILED to learn history. History shows the King James Bible to be the most loved Book on the face of the earth and its fruits cover the globe. The Book is also the most hated because it is dead set against mankind and our evilness as human beings. Interestingly enough, none of you who despise the King James Bible have ever been able to snuff it out. I wonder why that is?
@graysonbr You are right, the "scholars" aren't learning from history. They keep failing to understand that their translations put out rotten fruit!!! They couldn't bear to submit to God's Book. They need to feel authoritative themselves and in doing so they can give you their ignorance and lying as "education" in seminaries.
Hey, October31st -- do you know what clip title you used for the Ruckman appearance at 2:50? I asked you before, maybe. This time I really gotta have it, lest I be accused of taking it out of context. From what Youtuber, even, did you download the clip, do you remember? Thanks.
@bbbfohio Correct. This Calvinist believes the KJV is not the word of God, But a TRANSLATION of the word of God. You need to show me the KJV is inspired.
@October31st1517 No. You are a Calvinist who kisses the TOE of the Antichrist in Rome, using his Vaticanus versions.
You can lie and distort and use every slick tactic you want. But you are a living refutation of the Reformation. The Reformation leaders NEVER used a Roman Catholic Bible taken from Vaticanus as you do.
And you always run to the "inspired" gnat to gag on while you swallow the Pope's Vaticanus Codex versions.
@bbbfohio Hehehe.....you block anyone who doesnt swallow your translation fetish from your site, then you troll around and insult other Christians. I guess some folks like you will never be able to evalualte truth claims objectively.
@October31st1517 - If you prefer formal equivalence and the Majority Text, I recommend perusing the World English Bible (WEB) public domain translation.
USA Today article April 21, 2011, "Bible readers prefer King James Version". Why that headline? Because those who read the Bible (with the exception of some who read it with the purpose to refute it) LOVE the word of God too much to submit to the Pope's Vaticanus versions, like October31st1517 has.
According to Christianity Today March '09 article, "The Depression Epidemic" nearly 20 percent of Christian in Evangelical (new version) churches take drugs for depression. NOT in KJV churches.
@TheKJVberean The greek word for servant is "DULOUS". Which literally means slave. A servant can leave a service. A slave cannot. That is why I am a slave to Jesus Christ, I bow to His will. See how your own arguments can be used againsrt you. Are you interested in what God has to say, or what some 17th century Calvinistic baby sprinkling translator had to say?
@October31st1517 If you bowed to the will of Jesus Christ, you'd be interested in reading his perfect, preserved inspired words. Yet you make God out to be a confused lying idiot who can't put out a 100% reliable translation and spends his time pulling his hair out in a nervous fit because none of the "scholars" he "appointed" every 6 months can seem to get it right with their NKJV, NIV, NASB, RV, ASV, NWT, TNIV, the message, etc
@TheKJVberean I personally study out of the NKJV. I'm not a fan of the NIV because it is not a WORD FOR WORD translation. I only trust WORD for WORD translations. You sinmply like the KJV because of your pharisaical traditions. Let me ask you a question. Are you a servant or slave of Jesus Christ?
@October31st1517 That symbol on your New King Jimmy version is an occult symbol. It's time to step out of the sandbox. Get yourself a King James Bible and you can have the very words of God available to you.
@TheKJVberean When you say bible you mean the KJV. I never said the bible was not preserved or uninspired. I said There is no proof that the kjv ( a translation) is the inspired and preserved Word. Please do not isrepresent me. The KJV is not the word of God but rather a TRANSLATION of the word of God.
@October31st1517 Oh dear me, if my friend just got saved and asks me "Where can I get the word of God?" What do I tell him? Do I tell him the name of my "favorite translation" and pretend it is the inspired infallible word of God? Do I tell him to go read the Greek and Hebrew original manuscripts? He can't read a pile of dust. What a situation to be in! But alas, the solution!!!! A KING JAMES BIBLE .
@TheKJVberean Couldn't we just as easily say that God's word is preserved in other translations as well? And what if our knowledge of Greek has changed since the KJV was published? What if we can more accurately render some words now than they did then? Like "doulos," which is rendered "servant" 150 times in both the KJV and the NIV but is correctly rendered "slave" ONLY in the Holman Christian Standard. And what if the English language changes yet MORE than it already has?
I've read more than a few extreme opinions on this subject, one of the most common being the belief that all English versions of the scriptures (with the sole exception of the King James Bible) were written by Satan. One article, however, was by an individual who believes that the KJV ,in order to be the "true" KJV, must be of one, and only one, particular revision which he considers "perfect", and - get this - any KJV which differs from his "perfect" KJV he will BURN. I'm not making this up.
"Is it me, or does it appear that many King James Onlyists seem to appear a bit off?"
KJVOism has no end of problems, but is it productive to use the behaviour of KJVOists as an argument against KJVOism ? Some of them may behave rather erratically sometimes - but of what group might that not be said ?
@JohnTheHutDweller It's funny how in the Bible and in life through the centuries, the men who always valued God's thoughts of them more than man's thoughts were deemed to be crazy. We King James Bible believers are looking forward to the Judgment Seat of Christ to throw down some silver and some crowns at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hay Peter Ruckman is the man. He is probably the only preacher that lives what he preaches. He has an answer for any question you have, but the correct answer as well. Yes he's a nut, but a true believer. That's why I love listening to him. As for the others especially "sanderson1611" that's his youtube account, his congregation must be made up of nothing but warped minded people. And Gail she's doesn't know historicity of the bible at all. And you'd be dumber for listening to her.
The Doctrine of Inspiration and Preservation are BIBLE Doctrines. Both of which are backed up by Scripture. These are only preserved in English in the KJV. If the KJV is NOT the Bible preserved in English, then what is? And if none are, then we do not have the Bible today preserved in English. So what do we do now? We either have a PERFECT INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD PRESERVED IN ENGLISH WITHOUT PROVEN ERROR, OR WE DO NOT. If we do not then we are just playing church.
Hey i only study from kjv myself, but i will not try to force my belief on ppl. i only show my point. anyway check out the video michael pearl made about kjv only
Although I use the NKJV in the pulpit, I really enjoy the NLT, and frequently quote from it, as it expresses the "thought' of the Biblical text in such clear way. I praise God for the many good translations we have, some more literal, some more devotional, etc.

October31st1517 1 week ago
@needthylovingkindess Unfortunatley, husky394xp, as all KJV onlyist's, go under the ASSUMPTION that the KJV is the authority to go on. This is my main issue. Why when comparing bible translations must we compare it to the KJV? Why not the Geneva bible? BTW thank you for blocking me.

Good job God choose the mighty and wise and noble people of this world, or we'd have lots of these weak and despised and foolish people running around. As if God would choose people like THAT! 1 Corinthians 1:28 must obviously be an error in the Greek somewhere.

Inspiration without preservation is a divine waist of time.
dontbelieveinatheist 3 weeks ago
Lol, was that the best you could do??? And that idiot that at 3:20 wants a Spanish guy to learn Greek (a dead language) over English (the universal language of today). In the OT, the Bible was in Hebrew, in the NT, Greek and in these last days, English (and not the sloppy English of today). In fact, the KJV is so far ahead that the authors of the "New" versions continually compare their versions to the KJV because IT IS THE STANDARD... (not the NIV, ASV, NKJV etc) even after 131 years Lol!!
dontbelieveinatheist 3 weeks ago
How can you say (in the text @ 4:22) that you see no evidence that God has inspired or preserved the KJV? I have a King James Version. Now, you show me one original greek manuscript...they have not been preserved. Matter of fact, you cannot prove by demonstration that the originals where written in Greek (You would have to find one to prove that.) Then if you provided an original greek, you would have to deal with the fact that it would be mostly a translation in itself. Jesus didnt speak Greek.

It is like taking a trip to Disney World and fawning over the sign and claiming it is the one true sign to Disney World and all other signs are plots set up by Sea World to deceive you.

bmwhite1611 1 month ago
@contiricci The point is, without the Greek and Hebrew (& Aramaic), you'd not know if your Bible is correct, now would you? The NWT is all English, but it has nothing to do with the truth of Jesus Christ. You also wouldn't have any idea about the transmission of scripture and would be suceptible to the likes of Bart Ehrman or any other charlatan on the scene who wants to challenge your Bible. You cannot defend doctrine if you don't know where it comes from. KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE.
SkiesVibrant 2 months ago
@contiricci That is your opinion and it cannot be supported by facts. You continue to do that on these pages. It's perfectly fine to have an opinion, but you can't have an honest exchange of information that way. The Hebrew and Greek matters and without them, we'd not have our scriptures. That's a fact you cannot deny. Bunyan was a Calvinist as were the KJV translators, and of course, Stephanus and Beza. You cannot escape these facts. You don't seem to know what you believe.
SkiesVibrant 2 months ago
@SkiesVibrant Even though they were Calvinists, (some not all) the King James Bible is not a calvinist version. It is against Calvinism every where their doctrine shows up. The Greek and the Hebrew are not necessary right now - God gave us the English. Besides, the Hebrew and Greek won't shed any light on the Scriptures other than what you can find in the English.
bmwhite1611 1 month ago
@bmwhite1611 This is why you folks have problems. You call other versions perverted or corrupted because of the influences of the translators, but you can't see that with the KJV translators. It's not logical and I suspect you know that. The KJV translators all signed the Church of England's 39 articles of faith. Read it. There is no Calvinist version of the Bible. Let me assure you the KJV translators thought the Greek was very important and rightly so.

@contiricci Bunyan....A Calvinist....A soul winner...No way!!!!!
October31st1517 2 months ago
@contiricci You seem like a fair person. I think if you do an independent look at the transmission of scripture, you will perhaps reconsider. Focus on the difference between heretical, gnostic & Apocryphal writing. Keep the rules of textual criticism in mind while you study. Remember that there are no fundamental doctrinal differences in either set of manuscripts. God did indeed keep his word for us and it matters not what continent they came from. I have resources to help.
SkiesVibrant 2 months ago
@contiricci I understand that 'isms' make everyone a little crazy as there are few purists. The best site on Luther is probably 'Beggars All'. Give them a look, I think you will be surprised at the depth you will find. Our labels are defining us less and less. Think about it. We have the KJV, idolized by the Onlyists (not those who prefer the KJV) who despise Calvinism, all the while clinging to a Bible edited and translated by Calvinists.
SkiesVibrant 2 months ago

mwilson70201 4 months ago
@mwilson70201 To answer this one I have to ask a question. What do you call "spiritual fruit"? If you're referring to how many people walk and aisle and pray the mythical "sinner's prayer" then I'd say they stack up right alongside the KJV in those unbiblical fruits. The KJV has been around hundreds of years longer than the modern versions, so it would stand to reason there would be more "fruit" - that's a no brainer. However, you can't throw out the baby with the bath water.
metanoeo1 4 months ago
@metanoeo1 No I'm not talking about a magic formula for salvation but real conversion. I'm talking about the fear of the LORD, Holy Ghost conviction, repentance, faith, holiness, a new life evidenced by a new direction. If you think preaching that implores sinners to be saved is unbiblical you need to read the bible again. II Co. 5:20 Paul said " Now then we are ambassadors for Christ as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ stead, be ye reconciled to God."
mwilson70201 4 months ago
@mwilson70201 Just clarifying, don't get all in a dither. If you will read my other posts in answer to your questions, you'll see that I agree there are modern translations that are in gross error, but not all of them. There is nothing about the KJV that is "inspired" or "authorized" by God, only in man's eyes. As I said above, the KJV has hundreds of years on modern versions, so it should have more results. I don't believe you can become dogmatic about the KJV or any other TRANSLATION.
metanoeo1 4 months ago
The TR, from which the KJV was translated, came 1,100 years after the texts used for translating my preferred version. I'm not beating a drum to say the KJV is wrong, bad, or leading people astray to the pit of hell with no proof of that, like so many KJV Onlyists do regarding other translations. There are numerous inaccurate modern translations of the Bible and there are many that are very accurate. Parting from an antiquated form of English doesn't make those versions wrong.

mwilson70201 4 months ago
@mwilson70201 true, but you have to examine the actual music described in the bible and see it for yourself, For example, God is not against minor keys in music (Psalm 49) nor is he against secular love songs in the context of marriage (Song of Solomon) and obviously he is NOT I repeat is not against bodily movement to music (various scriptures on dancing mentioned in a positive light)
JacksonKBH 4 months ago
@JacksonKBH I don't think I said he was against love songs or dancing before the LORD as David did. My problem is with the use of secular embellishments to draw in people instead of the power of the gospel. While what is acceptable varies what is not is clear. If Satanist bang their heads to it and rappers use their filthy language to it I can't imagine God receiving it. Stirring the flesh and lifting the spirit are two different things and I have no doubt you realize this.
mwilson70201 4 months ago

Your turn. Good luck.

@mwilson70201 I don't understand what your trying to get at?
October31st1517 4 months ago
@October31st1517 It's very simple. The AV translaters believed they were handling the word of God and did so with fear and trembling. Modern scholars attitude: James Barr in The Bible in the Modern World sums it up. "My account of the formation of the biblical tradition is an account of human work. It is man's statement of his beliefs." pg 120. "And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more for every man's word shall be his burden ye have perverted the words of the living God..." Jer.23:36
mwilson70201 4 months ago
@mwilson70201 Are you at all familiar with the term context? Didn't think so. In Jeremiah, the verse you quoted is referring to false prophets and false priests who mock, jeer at, or show contempt for the Word of God.
metanoeo1 4 months ago
@metanoeo1 I'm aware of the context. Do you not understand practical application? Though not prophets the modern translators have the same attitude. Offer the peolple something new, something they will like. And why? For profit and self promotion. Has the language changed so much in the last 100 years to demand constant revision. No, but the professing church has. PETA praised the new NIV for it's animal friendly tone. Coming soon to a bookstore near you a gender nuetral God. Mark my words.
mwilson70201 4 months ago
@mwilson70201 I understand practical application very clearly and am aware that there are some modern translations that are just nonsense. However, I also understand that there are other modern translations that are more accurate than the KJV. Just because one guy says that, doesn't mean that's the attitude of all of the people involved in translating every modern version of the Bible. Clearly there are versions whose purpose is to pervert the gospel, but not all of them fall under that heading.
metanoeo1 4 months ago
@October31st1517 He's saying the since the new Bibles there has been - no major revivals, no new information on the word of God, and no good fruits - just Bible correcting reprobates. The fruits of the new versions are a dearth of the knowledge of God's word and a famine Amos 8:11

warriorspikes51 6 months ago
The apostasy today is running rampant. It's troubling to see most Christians reading their NIV or message as their "favorite translation" because they've been educated to the level of ignorance coming out of the mouths of professors at 95% of seminaries. Believing you or any man as the right to run to the Greek and tell God he was wrong is the height of stupidity in Christianity.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
It's time to stop following men like the Popes, Westcott and Hort and your favorite "godly scholars" and it's time to follow the Holy Spirit and submit yourselves to the King James Bible as God's FINAL AUTHORITY. The Bible which truly exalts the Lord Jesus Christ instead of editing passages in hundreds of places to remove SOUND DOCTRINE relating to his deity.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
You kiddies marking any responses as spam that attack your "favorite and preferred translation" are making me laugh.

As for me, I'll believe the HOLY SPIRIT and not the babbling perverted translations showing themselves to be ROTTEN fruits thanks to Alexandrian "scholars" who were fanatical Roman Catholics and the INSANE perversion of Westcott and Hort who spent their free time in necromancy and denied the fundamentals of the faith.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
You aren't going to hide and act like you believe the Bible when you DON'T. Those of you who do not believe the King James Bible is 100% perfect, you believe all translations are of men based on the "best manuscripts" and "original languages". You think the God of the Universe lied to you because you don't believe in a 100% accurate word of God. It's a real disgrace to see Christians being willfully ignorant and purposely lying.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
Some of you are going to stand before Jesus Christ at the Judgment Seat (IF you are saved) and he is going to ask you, "why didn't you believe my BOOK?" And boy aren't you going to be trembling.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
Those of you who think you can sit in judgment on God's words and heed some hip scholars opinion on passages, listen to your seminary cutting the Book to pieces by carrying on about how the Greek and Hebrew are more accurate; or those of you appointing yourselves as your own authority are participating in utter foolishness and are making God out to be a liar.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago

Kyouryuu5000 6 months ago
@Kyouryuu5000 there is no reason to study Greek and Hebrew to read the Bible. You just want to exalt yourself, that is what your problem is.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
@warriorspikes51
Kyouryuu5000 6 months ago
@Kyouryuu5000 if you want to understand the meaning of Scripture better, ask the Holy Spirit for guidance as HE IS THE AUTHOR of the King James Bible. You should always follow the teachings of the Holy Spirit and interpret Scripture with other Scripture and NEVER Greek or Hebrew nonsense that seeks to give man the ability for textual criticism and give man the false authority rather than God.
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
The King James Bible shall stand forever. The words of God are contained in that sacred Book. The words...they are LIFE and they are spirit....they are alive because they are revelation from God. The King James Bible sits in judgment on mankind, therefore many men hate the Book and many Christians simply refuse to submit to it as the Final Authority. They would rather sit in judgment of God and deem what "a better translation would be..."
warriorspikes51 6 months ago

@177Jeremiah7 Really, I became a trinitarian from studying out of the NKJV? How do you account for me?
October31st1517 7 months ago
@October31st1517 That is wonderful, glad you believe in the Trinity as do I. But generally speaking, the philosophy behind the modern versions is that there is no perfect bible. According to the new version proponents, they all have errors in it. And that is simply incorrect. The King James Bible is the standard. It has no errors or contradictions in its text. And all the "supposed" errors that are said to be in the KJV have all been cleared up and refuted.
177Jeremiah7 7 months ago

177Jeremiah7 7 months ago
@October31st1517 Can you prove that Matthew 28:1 is an error? Even the modern versions translate it as "first day of the week." Matthew 28:1 is translated correctly in the King James Bible. And it's already been proven that the KJV is the standard. It has been in use for 400 years now.The KJV was translated in Elizabethan English. And at the time that it was translated, the English language was at its height. And ever since then, the English language has deteriorated in some degree.
177Jeremiah7 7 months ago
@October31st1517 What the Apostles wrote can be found in a King James Bible. If your opinion is otherwise, it is irrelevant and of no consequence to reality. Reality is The King James Bible stands no matter who says what about it. You think you can tell God how he should speak?
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
@177Jeremiah7 Really, can you prove that the KJV is the final authority? No you can't. Even the KJV translators said that even the meanest translation is still the word of God. Obviously, if the KJV translators didn't believe it was the final authority, so you have a serious problem. Then go do your research about what Christians initially thought of the KJV. Hint: they behaved the same way KJVO's do. Childish name calling, & just plain meaness. Stop the divisness. It's very unChristian.
SkiesVibrant 6 months ago
@SkiesVibrant Your lying is very obvious. Your ATTACKS on God's BOOK are SATANIC. warriorspikes51 6 months ago
@SkiesVibrant Do the modern versions say the same-thing when compared to the King James Bible?
Titus 3:10
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; (KJV)
Warn a divisive person once, and then warn him a second time. After that, have nothing to do with him. (NIV)
1 Samuel 13:1

Saul was… years old when he began to reign, and he reigned… and two years over Israel. (ESV)
Nope.

The King James Bible is not the benchmark for testing the faithfulness of other translations to the Hebrew and Greek texts.
Keruaran 6 months ago
@Keruaran Actually it is. In fact, it is the very Bible that exalts Jesus Christ the most and that affirms His deity. The other translations (modern versions) attack His deity. By the way, The King James Bible has been used for 400 years now. It is the standard. How many years has the NIV been around? Or the Living Bible? Or the Revised Standard Version for that matter?
177Jeremiah7 6 months ago
@177Jeremiah7
Keruaran 6 months ago
@Keruaran While it is good to learn Hebrew and Greek, it is simply not necessary. For I simply choose to believe God's promise of word preservation (Psalm 12:6-7).
Keruaran 6 months ago
@Keruaran Grow a brain? Lol. The modern translations are based on corrupt manuscripts. The Vaticanus and Sinaiticus (Alexandrian text-type) are definitely not reliable. It has been documented that both Vaticanus and Sinaiticus disagree with each other well over 3,000 times just in the four Gospels alone!
177Jeremiah7 6 months ago
@177Jeremiah7
Keruaran 6 months ago
@Keruaran It sounds to me that you are blind and cannot see the truth. There is a Satanic conspiracy against the King James Bible. It is estimated that there are over 150 English translations of the Bible today. Let me ask you, do you think they all say the same thing? Do you think they all are the word of God?
Obviously, they do not say the same thing and they are not the word of God. In order to get a copy right, a translation must have enough changes to be considered a "new work."
177Jeremiah7 6 months ago
@Keruaran And the translation must be original in itself.

@TheKJVberean The greek word for servant is "DULOUS". Which literally means slave. A servant can leave a service. A slave cannot. That is why I am a slave to Jesus Christ, I bow to His will. He can't read a pile of dust. What a situation to be in! But alas, the solution!!!! A KING JAMES BIBLE .
warriorspikes51 6 months ago
@TheKJVberean Couldn't we just as easily say that God's word is preserved in other translations as well? And what if our knowledge of Greek has changed since the KJV was published? What if we can more accurately render some words now than they did then? Like "doulos," which is rendered "servant" 150 times in both the KJV and the NIV but is correctly rendered "slave" ONLY in the Holman Christian Standard. And what if the English language changes yet MORE than it already has?
MindRenewal 9 months ago
I've read more than a few extreme opinions on this subject, one of the most common being the belief that all English versions of the scriptures (with the sole exception of the King James Bible) were written by Satan. One article, however, was by an individual who believes that the KJV ,in order to be the "true" KJV, must be of one, and only one, particular revision which he considers "perfect", and - get this - any KJV which differs from his "perfect" KJV he will BURN. I'm not making this up.
