Guys...I was there, I have been waiting REALLY long to see him, and I didn´t. It was really late when he came out. And I think he deserves every little attention from his fans. He is a great artist, he makes music for more than ten years now, and I am so glad he is not such a "not touchable" super hero star anymore... I just wish I could have met him, too ;-)
I don't think using the Stage Door means an artist has an ego. Every artist has an ego because he/she's always the centre of attention. I think it's very down to earth to be thankful to your fans and show it to them. There are many occasions that have shown (to me) that Darren is a very warm and kind person. I understand that not everyone likes him, and you may not like his voice or the way he looks or whatever, but that doesn't make him a bad person!
I waited by the stage door until really late but must have just missed him. There was a lot of fans waiting and there was some push and shove, which I wanted no part of. As for Darren having an ego, how mean would it have been for all those waiting fans if he had slipped through the back door. Darren has a lovely personality who genuinely cares about his fans.
Man I would have loved to have had my tour book signed! If I hadn't have had to catch the train right after the QPac Brissy performance I would have gone Darren hunting with my sister lol :P
No sorry, Darren has nothing to do with this posting. I don't see the ego part. He's being as polite as possible from what I felt, as he is trying to get to his car.

If I ever get the chance to see Darren Live - I would be happy with that..... I would head home with his great words and melodies in my head.
Darren is just giving his fans what they want and now he gets hassle for not chosing to ignore what the fans want??
