dis song is a classic story, when i first heard it in a small fishing village on irelands south east coast i was moved by its simplisity... i asked the singer for where he d heard it and its name and was shocked to here it was an austrailian song.its one of the best ballads i ve ever heard and iv began learning the song

Nice Version - really nice but I can't say that it has the emotional impact of the redgum version - I find the redgum version somewhat haunting, I don't know what it is but it is a very deep song.

The Dimantina Drover wasn't written by Schuman, it was written by the other redgum vocalist, you can hear on the album it's clearly not Schuman talking

Why cant we all think like he sings, John Williamson is truely poetic with how he expresses himself in his music. Yeah he didnt write this one but he sure lay it down like the legend he is.
