  • you sound very good, you should get a cheap ZOOM H2 recorder and then take the audio and lay it ontop of the video (layer 2) it will really match your abilities with the quality people should hear. get one from I think B&H in NYC. ZOOM H2. 96hz surround sound, even stereo 48-96khz!

There are two obvious reasons here which show that her smile is mine!

    First: She's half Persian

Second: This video has been uploaded on my birthday!

    Peace

  • Beautiful music. We have two pianos and I haven't been playing either of them! If you want to swing by Australia and take one of them you're welcome to. ;-)

  • Great stuff here. Beautiful piano playing. Found you through the Hello to the World video. :^)

  • Hey !

    new video !!

    beautiful like always roxy (:

    you are amazing!!!

  • The looks to the left reminded me of when you thought you heard your parents walking by in the hall, heh, cute... and the melody was magical, I just sat there unable to move, i just sort of stared into the screen and let the sound wrap me up!!! =D

  • Very nice!

  • Very beautiful. Keep writing music and posting videos!

  • roxy? is this your name? same az my girl freind..:) are you Bahai roxy?

  • Not bad.

  • That was lovely. What talent you have to be able to improvise so beautifully.

  • you play spectacularly. And the few and most mionr mistakes actually gave it a sense of chram and show how it was improv and not something you practiced for hours on end. It was very beutiful. If you could maybe record it? and post a link to downlaod it as an mp3, that'd be awesome :-)

Thanks. Btw. You're very cute too ^^

A gorgeous women making gorgeous music. I love it !

  • acdc126- heheh glad you enjoyed it! I wouldnt come all the way here to take lessons with me, cause pretty soon I'll be gone! (but thanks for the compliment) ;)

  • It was fantastic Roxy...How long have you been playing piano hon?

  • aliparast-Thank you! Hmmmm I dont really remember how long it's been (feeling old and senile- hahah) I started when I was pretty young, but also quit when I was still young so I can barely read notes- hence everything being done by ear- or being a Roxy original.. :)

  • :) very beautiful

  • channelreview- Thanks! :) Is it as hot in Tokyo as it is down here?

  • are you in kyushu? It's not that hot in tokyo. but it's getting a little humid. pretty soon rainy season begins. Hope you enjoy that.

  • good job! very talented,

    and u have pretty eyes

  • tigrelokito- gracias! :) thanks for stopping by!

  • that was SSSPLENDID! gosh, those japanese kids are lucky to have a hot english teacher LOL :D

  • jussjosh- hahaha thanks ;) I teach really reallly REALLY young kids, so they probably wouldnt see things quite the way you do... ;)

  • Very nice song, it has a peaceful vibe to it. I could imagine listening to that as I walk near the stream in the woods near my house. Did I hear brids in the background or was I just very deep into my woods fantasy? lol

Great to see you playing piano again. Good luck with the job!

  • KennyWrites- Wow, the scene you're describing is exactly like some of the places I've been to here! And you werent dreaming- the birds were singing that day, as they have been doing a lot recently, it really is beautiful here- sadly I didnt end up getting the job I wanted (just took over someone else's contract as a way to support myself while I waited to hear back from this other job) so sadly I'll be heading back to Canada in the next couple of months... but it's probably for the best!

  • Love this video - made it This Week's Featured Video at our Top 100 Weekly Chart! Looks like you're getting some hits linking over here from that. :)

Seems like you've had your share of ups and downs lately. I hope that it all works out when you head back to Canada. I'm sending all my Best Wishes to you!

  • Roxy you're the best..

i love your originals and good luck in your new job

  • TripleA3- Thank you! Glad you like them, and thanks for the good luck wishes! Maybe I'll get around to doing some more recording when things settle down a bit!

  • I like it.

    Regards Rui Vieira

  • RuiFranciscoVieira- You're welcome :) And thank you! I'm flattered that you listened to it more than a few times, it makes me happy to hear that!

  • amfanman- Thank you!

  • You are amazingly talented Roxy! I love your music. Don't forget to send me the clip :)

  • boobtubious- Thanks Matt! Glad you liked it, and I'm happy to help out! :) Looking forward to seeing the collab video when it's all done- be sure to let me know k?

  • You'll be alerted! If you haven't subscribed do that, then you'll be alerted immediately :)

  • where do you work that has a piano cause thats awesome!! I missed you playing the piano for so long. It was bueatiful I almost started to cry. It seems to me that your piano playing is actually really emotional. Do think some of what your really at the time your play comes out? I would love to have like mp3 versions of your piano playing and just listen to them at night when I go to sleep. This so wonderful thank you for sharing...sorry got emotional there :)

  • invisiblebookwormie- Glad you liked it! :)Actually I work in a bunch of different schools in Japan (I travel everyday to different places, up to two hours away from where I live so it's a little tiring) but sometimes there are schools that have pianos in the gym or classroom, and that's when I take advantage of the opportunity to write and play!

  • I alway enjoy listening to you play either the guitar or the piano. I understand how tiring the running around can be. I work two jobs my self and my primary one requires me to do a lot of running (literally) I'm so glad you still find time to play. I just hope you don't get into trouble doing so. Best wishes to you with work.

  • fantastic! We all need to chip in and get you a piano, and a studio.

  • seneca67- hehehe thanks!

I was in a really tough bind just a couple months ago (was left stranded in japan- jobless and with no money at all) and considered having a fundraiser to help me get back home but it felt a bit strange asking people for help so I never went through with it...guess we'll see if I get up the guts to do it someday!

  • How do you teach English in Japan if they don't know English and you don't know Japanese? Or do you know Japanese?

  • iberollin- Good question indeed. I didnt speak Japanese when I first started, but I've picked up quite a bit since starting this job- kinda forces me to learn in class which is great. But to answer your question, there are japanese teachers who teach with me who know some english, so that's how it works- there's an intermediary...

  • I always wondered how people dealt with that. Now I know. Thanks Roxy.

  • iberollin- no probs, glad to have cleared that up for you- making people smarter is what I do best... heheh ;)

  • wispering:

    it was great.loved it.

  • r3za89-heheh thanks :)

  • WOW

u have 35 comment while you have 27 replys

    WOW

    you read them all

  • r3za89- hehe I try ;)

  • Beautiful!! Why wouldn't they allow you to play?

  • Because Japan is a weird country.

  • iberollin- the more I get to know the ins and outs of this place, the more I start to agree with you there...

  • wildwyckedknight- thanks! hehe it's kind of a weird thing... basically "foreigners", as we're called (ie anyone not japanese) arent trusted at all- there's major xenophobia here so if I was caught doing something without asking permission for it first, it would end up being a much MUCH bigger deal than it really is, and I didnt really want to get in trouble... just missed my piano!!

  • yo we should hang out before I leave Kyushu

  • claytonian- totally! When do you leave? I'm going back pretty soon myself- in Sept!

    Btw, how was korea?

  • Very pretty, both you and the music :)

I love how you kept looking to see if someone was coming. LOL

  • towandfish- heheh thanks ;)

Yeah I felt a bit paranoid about getting caught- not sure what the reprecussions would be!!

  • Nice, mellow music-

  • ArdieVerde- Thanks for listening!

  • Little mistakes you say? I didn't notice any! What a great improvisation! I play guitar, but I've always wanted to play piano. You should teach some improvisation skills here on Youtube. How does it come so easily?

  • russy67- heheh I'm glad you didnt notice my mistakes... how does it come so easily? I'm not too sure, it's not always that easy, but I usually dont really think when I play, I just let the notes come out themselves and somehow they end up sounding pretty- it surprises even me sometimes heheh ;)

  • It's very lovely, I like it, you should score movies.

  • komodoman- Thanks! One of my dreams as a kid was actually to write/direct a play/movie, for the longest time I was working on a musical, but sadly it never really turned out...but thanks for the encouragement!

  • Hey Roxy. Sadly I'm not a movie director, I'd hire you on the spot! :) Hope you can find some good and prosperous work through the exposure here on YT. All the best. Henrik (Kman).

  • u should try "whatever ur country's name"'s got talent contest

  • Ams11121- hehe I think I might be in the wrong country for that... but thanks for the comment!

  • aa thats a shame!

but i believe u'd gone through definitely no doubt!

either x factor which is famous enough or the Britain's got talent contest which i wonder if u've seen or heard about it.. but good stuff!

as a recommendation why don't u try singing "The Tide Began to Rise" by "Demon Hunter"?

i think i've seen you sang a persian song and i liked it very much (not my bag that kind of music) but the one i just said from demon hunter is unique and classic..check it out

  • Ams11121- thanks for the suggestion! I checked out the song, it was pretty good but I dont think I'd do it justice, it's not really the type of song I usually sing- a little hard for my tastes...but I did check it out!

  • ohh.. well never mind :)

i hope u also checked the acoustic version.. he sings with a pure guitar and its wonderful.. and i thought u play guitar and sing, so it could've been very suitable for u.. infact i wish i could have a guitar and be able to play like you and sing that song for my own enjoyement :)
