I think her costume was PERRRRRRRFEECCCTT! If you have noticed, sailor mars and other girls does have relly short skirt. So she just did it right.

I am going to be Sailor Mars this year... My costume is long enough to just cover my modesty haha (you cannot see the briefs unless I twirl or whatever) I feel better knowing there are shorter fukus in existance. -_-;

considering how all the soldiers have long legs, the skirt will seem short.. there for to give that illusion i have to say she did well in making it slightly short.. besides like she said in a comment, she modified it from a skating outfit and half the times the skirts on those are short..so no biggie.. I liked it though.. two thumbs up and if they did count big toes as thumbs I say two big toes up too..lol..cause that was one of the best so far I seen.

Also, the length of the skirt is a bit of an optical illusion, I have very long legs and a short torso. The costume covers a hell of a lot more than a swimsuit, and the whole thing was a spur of the moment. I wasn't trying to 'win' anything. It was for fun for myself.

Sailor Mars reporting in, I finally realized I was on youtube, silly me. XD I had never googled Sailor Mars akon 15 till I mentioned it to a friend just a minute ago. The costume is modified from an ice skating costume pattern as my Mother and I decided that the skirt was really more of a ruffle anyway after looking at HUNDREDS of pictures of Sailor Mars. Thanks to RoseDragonfire for the props, I had fun posing with her, and she was also really nice. ;)

You go girl! I want to be Sailor Mars for halloween this year and I'm totally using this as inspiration. Some on here have their panties in twist, but its a COSTUME. And I challenge anyone to show me an official Sailor Moon manga/anime picture where their skirts are halfway to their knees. Sure in real life, decency wants us to have our skirts that long, but it's not really representational. I don't mind those costumes; whatever you feel comfortable in. Except for the the front bow size= perfect

I met her and did a few photos with her. I was a Sailor Jupiter. No, my skirt wasn't that short, but she was really nice. I don't like people referring to her as a skank. She wasn't one at all. -.-

I have to say that I'm annoyed because very many cosplayers these days use sex to win the hearts of viewers -.-. For example, they wear the same kind of boots that girls in porno business use. The skirts just keep getting shorter, too...

I understand what you mean, but have you SEEN the anime or manga? While it may be too short for decency's sake, its actually a good representation of the leg to skirt ratio in the anime/manga.

That said, I'd go at least another inch myself, but the way it flows is perfect.
