&besides inter-team scrimmages most schools (at least when I played college ball from 2005-07) they have pre-season scrimmages with other schools and fans don't typically know/have the opportunity to buy tickets...

ohhhh man and I love it! Blitzwing using a zone D, hahaha, THAT is unrealistic imho, zones are notoriously soft and easy to read. he'd prob use man/zone combos, press-man cover 2s with nickleback/safety blitzes, zone blitzes are super weird and aggressive though so maybe thats it...

comparing this to transformers animated, Blitzwing seems alot less interesting without his split personalities and heavy accents

Transformers Animated is okay, but I don't think its that great. I don't think it has that "animeish" feel. It just looked too simple, less detail, and non realistic compared to G1. I think the Animation in Animated has a lot of lag in character movements and lip sync for a newer cartoon. As far as Blitzwing's personalities in Animated, they a little funny and entertaining sometimes, but I didn't think it was necissary. My oppinion, G1 is better than Animated.

Seems a bit awkward, but it is quite funny.. and his 'zone defense' royally owns Tracks, Skids, Prowl, and Bluestreak. Then he pelts the city with 'long bombs', causing general havoc. Blitzwing has a ton more success than Astrotrain does.

Also liked in the episode when Blitzwing tells the Constructicons to go build a bridge and jump off it.. then they proceed to merge into Devastator. Think Blitz needs to think things through a bit more. :)

The other lines tried to be serious mixed with humor and in my own opinion (that some would disagree with) it just didn't work. You either had to have complete ridiculousness like in R.I.D. for it to work or complete seriousness with witty humor and not slap stick mixed in . . like in Armada, or Energon... they made the deceptions bumbling fools in a serious show, and too much attention to kids.

Yeah, I agree "hootyhaha". Back in the eighties, producers didn't focus on precision like they do now. However they made up for it in creativity. I mean come on,it's the one and only Transformers dude. The mistakes give'm character.

Trust me, I prefer G1 over all the rest of the Transformers. The only other line I liked was R.I.D. because it was just so slap stick and ridiculous. IT seemed at times it was meant to be a spoof. The combaticons sweeping up the forest? COME ON! :) And Sky Bite was just so stupid it was funny.

I stand corrected on my previous comment, the coach was just really small in that shot. From what I read about the episode, Blitzwing's crazy strategy actually proved a problem for the Autobots. He got alot smarter during the Five Faces of Darkness set of episodes.

yeah, alot of the transformers become much bigger or much smaller when they change into or out of robot mode! Soundwave goes from being the same size as Megs in bot mode to being a hand held tape recorder (i love Cybertron technology, those guys could do just about ANYTHING!)
