I remember having this doll. I wanted it SO bad, because I remember making my barbie having babies, but when this one came out, it seemed more realistic. Always made me laugh how I could take apart the stomach. Now that I look back, it's not really a good toy to be giving to little kids. Would bring up many questions at such a young age.

I hate how parents freaked out about this barbie doll. It's like I seriously doubt kids even think about the fact of how someone actually has a baby and so on. They are just having fun and pretending, using their imaginations rather than what kids do nowadays with video games and TV. I remember I wanted this doll as a kid and by the time I finally got one they didn't even have the belly anymore!! Ridiculous >.< People need to stop freaking out lol

I just remembered.. when I finally got this barbie doll..

I was ecstatic.

And then when I seen the barbie with no belly, I was pissed..

And my mom said that a belly didn't come with it.. LIES.

Lmao..little did she know that I made my own belly <.<

I just used a helmet with straps from the MyScene barbies and plopped the baby

in there and finally placed it under her dress.. TA-DA!

i remember seeing this ad when i was younger and wanting that doll so bad!! but mum wouldnt get me one.. then i found out a couple of years ago that the doll got banned coz they were worried that the doll would promote teenage pregnancy even though the doll had a husband and a toddler and they also had wedding rings painted on their fingers.. stupid political crap

@karikarigal they have much worse dolls these days anyway. look at the bratz dolls or those zombie high dolls. why would parents be comfortable with their little daughters playing with a slutty dressed teenager doll obsessed with looks or with a gothic doll that was probably inspired by some weird cult? i would never give those dolls to my kids. i would rther they play with a pregnant barbie who has a husband and family. its not like shes a teen pregnancy doll. taken too far

My sister had that whole set for her birthday. The she got the granparents, the house, and her "nikki's" first birthday set with her friends included, and one where Allan and the son go for a stroll with a blue doulble stroller. I miss stealling her dolls :(

I honestly have no idea where my dolls are. We moved, and most of the family is packed away, but I know I lost some babies. I had the first and second Midge, but I think I lost the stomach. I don't even know if I kept the doctor for more than a month, she might be lost in my old house. The grandpa was the only one who I have in my house, but the last time I saw him he was in my brother's room, shirtless with his head almost twisted off, covered in nailpolish from 2004...
