  • tom shut the fuck up. Leave Tigers problems alone. maybe ur jelaous u never had the pussy tiger had. anyway, tigers wife was a bitch lloking for cash. she would have never married tiger if he was a regular guy...a regular BLACK guy.

  • true he did in an exhibition. Lets see how he does with the rest of the field in the majors next year

  • Tiger is done

  • @steveprs he just won......

  • @steveprs Hopefully !

  • fuck you tom watson... go try and make a 4 footer u yippy baby!

  • @bodizone1 you might want to think of a different name to call tiger, cause he is no bum lol. i dont think bums have hundreds of millions of dollars.. lol idiot

  • hater

  • Tom Watson shut the hell up you are old and married to a former golfers wife !

  • Tom Watson is a hyppocrite reptile face. He s married to a fellow golfer s wife. He s a jerk, Tigah was just being a Tigah!!!!!!

  • Fuk this old motherfucka tiger my nigga fuk these white clowns

  • @miko4137 ye budy

  • shame i like tiger.just coz he dune wat all men do

  • tiger is a classeless BUM!! he will never be back at number one

  • @bodizone1 Look at what Tiger has accomplished and what you have accomplished, you are the Bum. STop being a faggot, are you mad b/c he gets more pussy than you. STFU!

  • Woods IS a prick

  • I wish the world would end already so that I dont have to deal with these racist fucks anymore.

  • tom watson is the man

  • fuck you old man, let the man be. its people like you who are poopoo fart breaths

  • watson is a wannabe niklaus pussy.

  • watson is all class all the time

  • Nothing happened "to" Woods. This injection of passivity is a subtle, and very common, means of deflecting responsibility.

As for Watson, he's a class act all the way. Barbarians resent this, of course.

  • @hineighbor Exactly, why should he worry about what someone else is doing when that person has nothing to do with him lol. Watson needs to worry about Watson and thats it,

  • @onlygrizzlywg, I can explain why. Have you ever heard the question, "Am I my brother's keeper?" The answer is supposed to be yes. If you don't care about anything beyond yourself, it's called being a selfish, self-centered jerk.

    Wise up.

  • @icthruu4evr took the words out of my mouth, a cock sucking fucking nigger to be exact.

  • @tchwiss no life

  • Yes golf-swinging and swearing is disrespectful blah blah blah but this is exaggerated completely, frustration happens in any sport - you see footballers complaining to the referee and tennis players throwing their rackets. Things happen in the heat of the moment and they don't they do it to offend people. A fine should be put in place but players will not remember that when they hit a crap shot on major sunday, etc. Get over it

  • @icthruu4evr woa woa thats a little rascist

  • Watson needs to mind his own damn business.

  • this is too ridiculous. name a sport where they dont swear constantly, golf in no exception. watson is a prick who cant sell his god damn lessons of a life time dvd. geeeze

  • I'm a caddie on the Natiowide Tour and I can tell you from first hand experience that 90% of the players swear. I usually hear half a dozen f-bombs on every single hole

We don't have as many cameras and spectators like they do on the big tour but the players don't care...they say what they need to say. I've heard it all.

  • I used to say the worst language you can imagine when I played golf. Tiger's lack of class and self control made me see myself in a way I didn't like and I stopped doing it. I'm not on tour, on camera, or wearing a mic. I realized how bad it made me look and sound.

  • The PGA needs to fine players for swearing in public during a tournament. These players get paid millions for swinging a club for a living. Weather they like it or not kids are their to see their favorite players.

  • @lonestargun thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard. fuck fuck fuck shit ass fuck

  • @lonestargun Tough shit, stop making everything about children. They'll be fine!! I'm sure you curse at work sometimes, this is their job, when they are unhappy, they have the right to say whatever the hell they want, and do whatever they want. If they want to ruin their image, let them. If you want to be labeled a club thrower and a swearer, that's you're prerogative. The PGA has too many rules as it is.

  • omg, what a nazi between white and black. Both were since

  • Watson should shut his mouth. Tiger has made mistakes, not even Tiger denies that, but those issues are Tiger's problem and nobody else's. As for the swearing, who cares? Don't put a mic on him! Tiger Woods is a golfer, not a celebrity who everybody needs to hear all the time. He plays a sport and he is not about to alter his mindset or habits to suit people who are watching him. Golf fan answer to Tiger because they are the ones that want his services, not the other way around

  • "It's not what we want to project as far as the professional golf tour is concerned"??When did Watson become the spokesman for the PGA?? When Tiger is in contention ticket sales and TV ratings go up 50 percent!! That's ALL that matters to the PGA. Tiger puts asses in the seats and dollars in the PGA's bank account. Watson got Gary McCord fired from the Masters because he didn't like his jokes.Guys like Watson , Davis Love and Johnny Miller would have made great Gestapo agents for Adolf Hitler.

  • @TheNYgolfer Couldnt agree more.

  • @TheNYgolfer

Well, it's all about money and not character then, isn't it?

Look, if your approach to pro golf is that it's just another pro sport, I wouldn't expect you to understand. Fair enough.

  • can you load up tiger yesterday's masters sunday? did you catch it? after missed the eagle on 15 he went OFF for around 30 seconds, biggest blow by up far ever seen, was watching online on masters com so i dont know if tv caught it. whoever loads this up will go to a million views fast

  • @hemet92544 Oh wow, TV definitely didn't catch that! They showed him jerk his putter up is anger right as it lipped out, and then pretty much cut over to someone else. Now I really want to see it hahah

  • @wogolfer omg tv didn't get it! now its never going to be loaded, Masters wont let it out they a nazi's over information haha. he cussed non stop for about 30 seconds, he was major angry and loud, i heard every word on my headphones, it was in between green and tee box. somebody has got to get this recording and load it

  • coming from Tom "where's the whiskey tits" Watson. That's the pot calling the kettle black. Golf sucks anyway,no idea why I commented, came here by accident. Must be the drugs...

  • @justaman6972 No problem Tiger.

  • @bumblebee051985

I let all my kids watch _some_ things on basic cable. I do not feel the need to allow the sea of vulgarity, stupidity, and trash that they are surrounded by every single day to be fed to them at home via TV or any other means. And no, I'm not even close to a fundamentalist or a right-winger. Not even remotely. I would like my kids to learn the game and learn to conduct themselves as adults in the way people like Nicklaus, Palmer, Watson, Sorenstam, Ochoa, et al. did.

  • @emncaity Some of your comments just have garbage basis, I am sure without watching Woods swearing after missing a shot, your kids would have learned swearing in their pre high-school and high-school whether you like or not. Also you are your kids role model so stop saying you want them to be like Niklaus [in terms of behaviour] e.t.c unless you are two-faced person attacking another person for imperfection when you dont have a leg to stand on when it comes to being a role model for your kids.

  • @supergunner07

The point is not whether my kids "would have learned" swearing. I know they hear it. Not the point. The point is that somebody like Woods shouldn't do it. My older kids undoubtedly have seen movies I'd never let them see in my house, but that doesn't mean they should have or that I'm going to let them watch them just because somebody else wanted to expose them to that crap.

  • @supergunner07

Re being a role model for my own kids, that's for somebody else to say--but it's also not an excuse for everybody in the public eye to act irresponsibly toward kids who could be watching. What kind of vulgar cesspool of a society do you want, anyway? And if guys like Nicklaus, Palmer, Hogan, etc., could manage to play competitive golf without cursing in a way that was immediately apparent to millions of people, why shouldn't Tiger Woods? What makes him so much more special?

  • @bumblebee051985

No, golf on TV did not become popular because of Tiger (if anybody gets that honor, it's Palmer, and later Nicklaus). Yes, Tiger did expand the audience. No, expanding the audience and bringing more money into the game doesn't give you license to act any way you want.

  • @bumblebee051985

    @bumblebee051985

Yes, it's fine to see players struggling with emotions. No, you do not have to curse on camera with millions of kids watching to show emotion. If the other greatest players in the history of the game could control themselves, there is no reason why Tiger should not. I'd love to see somebody make the argument as to why Tiger is more "competitive" than, say, Hogan or Nicklaus.

  • @bumblebee051985

Yes, it's fine to see players struggling with emotions. No, you do not have to curse on camera with millions of kids watching to show emotion. If the other greatest players in the history of the game could control themselves, there is no reason why Tiger should not. I'd love to see somebody make the argument as to why Tiger is more "competitive" than, say, Hogan or Nicklaus.

  • @bumblebee051985

And how is it that you know that the only reason it seems he curses more is that we see him more?

If you weren't so busy making excuses for your hero, you'd see that your argument goes in exactly the wrong direction. Do you think Tiger doesn't know he's on camera a lot more than other players? And if he knows that, do you think he has no obligation to adjust his speech and/or behavior? Every other great player in history did. Why not him?

  • @bumblebee051985

Incidentally, I guarantee you I could cuss you or probably TW under the table most days--so could Sam Snead, by the way--but the point is, adults have enough self-control to adjust their behavior when kids are around. As far as Woods is concerned, the world (not to mention his wife and kids) has to adjust itself to his speech and behavior, and f#$ 'em if they don't like it, because he rules it. Everything about that is opposite what golf is actually supposed to teach you.

  • @bumblebee051985

So because my son's heard it at school, Woods is under no obligation to obey the Tour's code of conduct or the etiquette guidelines in the Rules of Golf, just because the culture around him is vulgar and stupid enough to make excuses for him?

And what's this crap about "frustration has to come out somehow"? Why? Because Woods can't act like an adult and control himself? (I think we know the answer to that already.)

    Stupid, dumbed-down, vulgar culture. Pfft.

  • What i hate most in this modern age is "i am hollier than thou". Watching many majors of bygone era on Golf Channel, i have seen both Nicklaus and Watson whack the ground with their club in disgust after a bad shot but the come out with this BS about another player. Its ridiculous. Remember people, Tiger grew up in "bloody barack" not with silverspoon in his mouth.

  • @supergunner07

It's hard to know where to start with a comment this ignorant. Honestly it is.

Woods has been cursing on camera regularly since almost the first week he came on tour, despite knowing that millions of kids will be watching. The occasional "club whack" isn't the problem, but your excuse-making is part of the problem. Similarly, the Tour wouldn't do a damn thing to him despite many violations of its code and the ROG standard of etiquette, because he was their meal ticket.

  • @supergunner07

As for your "bloody barack" (I assume you mean "barracks") comment, give us all a friggin' break. Tiger never had to work a day in his life, has been groomed to be nothing but a golf pro since he was in diapers, and had his way paid by his parents to golf tournaments all over the place. Nicklaus's father was a pharmacist and store owner, and Jack's tournament background was more or less like Woods', except that Jack played and excelled at a lot more sports.

  • @supergunner07

So: What people _ought_ to "hate in this modern age" is the dumbed-down standard of speech and behavior that is applied to professional golfers, mostly by people who come to golf as just another pro sport rather than coming to it from a real background in the game and its traditions, with a parent who teaches the kid how a big part of golf is learning to act like an adult, rather than acting like a petulant, vulgar child and expecting everybody to make excuses for you...

  • @supergunner07

...especially excuses made on the basis of race or (supposed) income. There are plenty of good players and even pros who had a background much more meager than Tiger's, but who don't use it as an excuse to curse on camera. Tiger Woods cannot in a million years imagine what it was like to grow up in Hogan's or Snead's or Trevino's monetary circumstances, for instance, but they managed to act in a way that didn't embarrass themselves.

  • @emncaity Those players mentioned's social economic background is very subjective in terms of who had it worse. Secondly, those are the exception rather than rule but point taken that all 3 are well behaved on the course. Who mentioned race, i find people like you who make "i am hollier than thou" comments about Woods so disingenuous

  • @supergunner07

Can you clarify what you're saying here? What you wrote is hard to understand.

While you're at it, maybe you can clarify whether anybody can ever object to anybody else's vulgar or classless behavior without being "holier than thou."

  • Woods is such a douche bag

  • @bumblebee051985 Yes every golfer does swear im sure but not on nation wide t.v!!! he shouldnt do it while im watching with my 9 year old NOT COOL.

  • @hanoitwin Wait a minute! Tiger is somehow responsible for what you do with your 9 year old!?!?! Before you go blaming others, how about taking a little credit yourself? Seems to me that if you know or suspect what is going to happen, it is irresponsible for you, as a parent to expose your child to it. How about using the opportunity to teach? "Son, (or Daughter,) this is how some people choose to act when they make mistakes."

  • every golfer swears, and gets pissed.. its part of being competitive.. tiger shows class to the fans, the media, and other golfers.. everyone should stay out of his personal life.. he made mistakes, get over it..

  • @soonermagic24

So ridiculous, my God...just a parrot of the usual line.

First of all, if you think Tiger Woods is one molecule more competitive than guys like Hogan or Snead or Nicklaus, who managed not to curse on TV every single weekend, you are just too ignorant to be in this discussion. Seriously you are.

  • @soonermagic24

As for "personal life," it wasn't "personal" when it spilled out onto an Orlando street; when he violated state laws; and when he was taking zillions in cash based partly on his image as a good guy and good family man, which the Tour and his sponsors couldn't pump enough, until it all came crashing down. (You do know what a "moral turpitude" clause in a contract is, right?)

  • @soonermagic24 Now it's all "private"? Yeah. You'd never say it in a million years if we were talking about child molestation. Still "private" then? Didn't think so. The truth is, you and many others like you just don't think adultery is all that big a deal, especially if making a big deal about it means you don't get the sports entertainment you want or don't get to feel good about a player you like.

  • @soonermagic24

Sure, every golfer swears. It's just that most of us, and every great player other than Woods, have the ability to act like adults and control ourselves when kids are around.

  • @emncaity tiger isnt the only golfer ive seen, or heard swear loud enough for people to hear.. most all of them do it

  • @soonermagic24

If they do, then the same standard should be applied. Period.

  • Tom has it absolutely right!!... the game is much, much bigger than any one azzhole. I'm certain the "ME!" generation would like to see NFL type endzone celebrations on a golf course.. to fully complement tigertantrums and Fbombs. I quit watching golf shortly Woods took the stage....... talented?.. sure..... but, what a complete and utter cad.

  • @1401moonie Well said my friend!!

  • Tom Watson has a big enough stick up his ass he could almost be an officer in the Air Force

  • @wsucouga

When you've done anything in your life that approaches the value or achievement of what Tom Watson has done in his, you post back and let us know.

  • Tiger Woods and Amadeus Mozart have something in common - God wasted talent on the both of them

  • T. Watson is clearly still crusty from that cataclysmic choke at the British Open in Turnberry. talking about the proper "image of golf" gimme a break, if tiger hadn't entered the game of golf the pga would be just as unpopular now as it was up to the late 90's, and nobody but a select few would even know tom watson existed

  • @jamesi34

God, I just love the ignorance level in a comment like this. Before Woods came along, players were making a very good living at the game; just because you didn't know that or wouldn't have been aware of Watson doesn't mean a damn thing. It only means you're that ignorant.

So, by your illogic, whatever added popularity Woods gave the game gives him the license to do and say things on camera that no other great player in history would do. If that's your position, stand by it.

  • @jamesi34

As for the "choke," we'll see how Tiger's playing at 60. If you knew your ass from a hat, you'd know that Watson lost mostly because he pured his iron shot too far on the 72nd. No professional is going to depend on hitting a dead-pure shot; he calculated the distance based on a normal good shot to hit it short of the hole, hit it a shade over the green (a good 10-15 yards past his normal distance ), couldn't get up and down, and had nothing left after that against a rested Cink.

  • @jamesi34

Not that the alleged "choke" has anything to do with Woods' speech and behavior anyway. It's pretty typical to deflect criticism that can't really be rebutted.

At any rate...if by "select few" you mean the "few" who can manage to act like adults and control their behavior, yeah, it'd be great to go back to that. If you're saying that vulgar behavior is OK as long as people are making more money, well...that says something about you, doesn't it?

  • I'm sorry to have offended you with my comment. I think that most of the reason for him overshooting last green on his approach shot had more to do with the adrenaline than your gracious description of "puring" the iron. Yet this was understandable taking into account what he had the opportunity to do there. His chip shot from a pretty poor lie to 8 feet really impressed me, at that point i thought he had it and i wanted him to make that putt...but he yanked it....which to ME is a choke

  • @jamesi34

Didn't offend. But he did pure it. I've had the same thing happen (I competed at plus-2 as an amateur), where you hit an iron totally off the scale. He aimed short and thought he'd allowed for a little pump, and it wasn't enough. I completely agree that the putt was miserable, but I was already finding it hard to watch, if you've watched his short putting over the past few years (cf. his finish at Pebble a couple of years back...painful). That's different from a "choke," though.

  • fair enough and I do see your argument, and maybe watson's putting from 10ft in has been a weakness, but did you see how pale he was walking around the pin getting the read on his line? When he walked up to his ball I thought he might faint. I was in the exact same boat as you were at the time, finding it hard to watch. I wanted him to make the putt, but in my heart I knew he's miss it. Maybe he didn't 'choke,' after all it's not like he lipped out on a 3 ft putt. but i think he got spooked

  • who the hell is tom watson to tell tiger what to do? tiger is 100 times the golfer watson ever will be

tom was a raging alcoholic not too long ago so he has no leg to stand on

  • @eh3292

Do you and Tiger shower together, or what?

Watson was the #1 player in the world for several years. What have you ever been #1 at? And by what measure is Woods "100 times the golfer Watson will ever be"?

  • @emncaity did you even read what i wrote? i never said anything to condone tigers actions. personally, i dont really care if golfers swear. it shows they have a little personality

watson was never number one in the world because they didnt have world rankings when he played, and because he always had to go up against nicklaus. and yes tiger is 100 times the player watson ever will be. tiger has 3 grand slams and 71 wins on tour. watson proved that he could win at the british. thats about it.

  • @eh3292

If your point is that Woods ought to be ranked ahead of Watson on the list of all-time greats, I'd agree. But what's the need for the adolescent-style "100 times better"? Both have been best in the world. Woods has 71 PGA Tour wins and Watson 39 (the only legit comparison, since there were fewer opportunities on other tours in Watson's prime); majors count is 14 to 8. Factoring into that is the fact that Woods had nobody at the level of Nicklaus et al. to beat...

  • @eh3292

However, without getting into a stupid argument about whether you have to have a Sony World Ranking to know who the best in the world is, Watson _was_ best in the world (because the American tour was widely acknowledged as by far the best) for several years. Also, Woods does not have even one "grand slam," sorry--not to diminish his vast accomplishments one bit, but you don't dumb down the standard just because you have a hero.

  • @eh3292

So: Tiger is not "100 times" Watson. He does belong in the smallest group of top players in history, for sure, while Watson would have to be just out of that group, simply because he never bagged the PGA. So Woods edges out Watson, based on record, but that's it.

As for swearing, you may not care--and I don't care if they swear when not on camera--but when they know kids are watching, it's wrong. Swearing on camera is not an indication of "personality" but a lack of self-restraint.

  • @emncaity how can you say that tiger doesnt have 3 grand slams? he's won all 4 majors 3 times.

watson is a solid player, but all i'm saying is the guy has no right to be telling tiger how to act considering his own personal issues

  • @eh3292

Tiger has three "career slams," which is not and never has been the same thing as a "grand slam." It's still a stunning achievement that by itself would easily put him into the smallest top group of players in history. By insisting on a right standard of behavior and speech for the guy, I'm not diminishing his skill or accomplishment one bit.

  • @eh3292

Also: "Watson is a solid player, but he has no right to tell Tiger how to act" doesn't sound quite the same as "Tiger is 100 times the player Watson will ever be." Watson, the PGA Tour, the Rules of Golf, any parent, fellow competitors, etc., all have the right to tell Tiger how to act when it comes to cursing on camera, regardless of what "personal issues" any of them have. What "issues" are you talking about specifically?

  • @emncaity uhh the issue where he played terrible golf for years and almost drank himself to death and divorced his wife in the process? and just becuase he had one good major run at age 60, he now is worshiped by everyone.

  • @eh3292 i think grand slam is a tennis definition, wrong ball bro...

  • @emncaity and im thinking you and tom watson are the ones who are showering together since you just posted like 20 comments about how much you want to blow him..

  • Tell it like it is Tom. Tiger hasn't yet mastered that part of the game.

  • Tom needs to pull that kansas sized stick out his arse!

  • Its so true what Tom is saying about Wood's behavior the guys a girls blouse , apart from the fact he roots women behind his Mrs back while she is giving birth, he continually throws clubs and spits the dummy when he is losing or plays a bad shot. He is just another golfer on tour and no more than that, just because he has won more Majors and tournaments than most doesn't give him any rights to behave like a complete dickhead start imposing a 1 shot penalty for every club throwing incident.

  • Comment removed

  • @mrchickatees tiger woods couldn't shine phil mickelsens shoes.

  • Tiger woods is one of the best golfers in the world, he should be able to cuss and throw clubs at whoever he wants. :P

  • @HawkmanDude Tiger is obviously a better golf than tom. there is no arguing that. Tom is a better person and a class act, unlike tiger.

  • @27cjr Yes sir well said!!

  • @27cjr Give a 21 year old Watson modern equipment and I doubt you would still believe that.

  • HA HA HA HA HA Tiger Woods turned into Happy Gilmore. Fucking loser.

  • tiger left standford to become a millionaire golfer shut up

  • @rsgreat its stanford

  • @HawkmanDude first of all he is married so he isnt a faggot but nice try second of all how many majors has he won yeah alot more than you third wat has a h in its spelled what forth watson can actually graduate for stanford unlike tiger woods

  • Tom Watson is a great golfer and a class act, Tiger is a great golfer maybe the best ever, but not such a class act. Sorry Tiger but Tom is 100% right you need to be show more humility as great as your are you come across as very arrogant, sorry. I wonder what Earl would think ?

  • Fuck Tom I dont care what Tiger says ill still watch that nigga play and ill still buy Nike and ima still be playing golf...

  • I smell a little jealousy.

  • tom watson should be going back to his retirement house

  • @Hawkman

Hey moron. Tiger is a spoiled twit who was overly fawned on by EARL, who acted like Tiger was GOD. Only a fool would try to instill that in their child....what hubris and greed. You approve of Tiger's behavior being married with children??..wake up you schmuck...great if you can hit a golf ball...better if you do it while realizing that isn't all to life! Watson Nicklaus, Palmer, Player and many other pros are true champs...dont include Tiger just because he's won tourneys.

  • watson should zip it !

  • @MrFashion4eva

Hey go buy another shirt and shut the heck up....Watson has every right to pass judgement on Tiger the clown of golf. Now that Tiger has REVEALED himself to the world as to what he is, a rich fornicator, true fans of the game will admonish him for his behavior, and follow some new player like Fowler or Johnson. Tom did the right thing by not sweeping it under the rug, cause he loves golf and its institutions. Remember you can lose and still be a champion, by acting like one!

  • FUCK WATSON!

  • @baybay82

Hey you dumb boob...Tom Watson is one of the greatest ambassadors of the game ...period....and has been for 40 years...in fact he should have won the British Open for a record tying 6th time at age 59+. Watson is a true champion, like Jack nicklaus was a great loser as well as a winner. Tiger is a huge sore loser and rarely shows any homage to those he loses to. So your demeaning of Tom Watson only shows how ignorant you are. Tiger should have half of Watson's class!

  • @baybay82

Oh yes dumb ass, do you know how popular Watson is all over the world besides the US???

Ask a few folks from the British isels!

    Now, who should get fucked???

  • woods is on hgh.Human growth hormone.

  • KABOOM Tom Watson bitch slaps Tiger. Watson is untouchable now.

  • @lolraxjimmy

Yeah, that doctor he knows has nothing to do with performance enhancing drugs right?

Tiger is a fraud......Watson is giving him sage advice.....if Tiger doesn't wake up then he will self destruct. Tiger should be kissing Watson for his honesty!

  • its true. golf means 'gentleman only ladies forbidden'

blacks should be forbidden as well.

it was a condition in australia that he only gave interviews if the camera didnt show his swearing and how he throws is clubs in the air.

    douchbag

  • Watson is old school... Gentleman's game, professional behavior, and etiquette. Whether you agree or disagree; you can't be shocked by what he said. Basically said Tiger needs to get himself together; and he's right.

  • @oldsouth31

Then he is not "old school" he is "contemporary school"

  • @oldsouth31

Tiger will never get it togther...his father brainwashed him so bad that there is no going back. I think it's good that his game has left him for now. He's going to realize how much he had and how he threw it away...He may NEVER EVEN GET IT BACK AGAIN! (Refer to David Duval as an example of how easy it is to lose it!)

Nicklaus, Palmer, Player, Watson are true champs...knew how to win and how to LOSE...with class! How many pros does Tiger have as friends? I feel sorry for him!

  • wow.. i had respect for tom watson for a while..

but saying that tiger better stop swearing and throwing his clubs?

watson doesnt know what the fuck he's talking about...

  • @justincuth. Had respect for a while? From when; 1993-1995? Should he refrain from comment on his marriage...yeah. But whether you admit it or not; he knows golf. Period. If he comments on the game or how actions of fans, players, caddies, etc. affect the game and how it's perceived, people are going to listen to him.

  • @justincuth

    Did you really say this????

The only thing I can say is "you must be an iliterate jerk" if you believe swearing and club throwing is ok!

    Get your head examined!

  • Too many "Gentlemen" of the game of golf are being "Holier than Thou" towards Tiger. Tiger made a serious mistake...but, one made towards his family. A LOT of PAST golfers and present ones, has done (or is doing) the same things Woods is being crucified of.

  • @bentnrk

TW got married to enhance his marketabilty/image.

This wouldn't have played well even if he was single, but married??? Children??

What a loser....he should suffer and pay the price....and he will as the divorce will de-market him substantially. I dont care if he ever plays or wins again.

Respecting your image is very important. He's only sorry he got outted...he'd still be doing all his ladies if the Enquirer didnt blow the whistle.

He's under par on the course, way over in life!

  • God Bless America my ass

  • wtf watson i never thought you were like that his life his business. i guess your nt the man i thought you were you judgemental asshole. sweering i mean come on god sake you telling me you never ever swearing playing golf doesnt matter if off or on camera just shows he loves golf more than you

  • He can curse all he wants. The throwing clubs I agree is juvenile, but as far as cursing why should anyone care? I never watched golf until Tiger became such a big star in the game. He adds flavor to a so-called sport that doesn't seem to have any at all. Tiger single handedly transformed the game. It's more popular now than it was 10-20 years ago. He can do whatever the hell he wants.

  • @psakai09 You make it seem that cursing adds flavor to golf, or, that people who make sports more interesting can do whatever they want. However, golf is not more exciting when someone yells "god Dammit" after hitting a shot. And you are experiencing the downfall of a great player due to the beleif that he can do whatever he wants. Whether it's swearing or cheating, Tiger has forfitted his descetion.

  • @someguy92172

I totally agree with you. Golf, thank god, is one place where etiquette and rules stand for something other than ego.

I would love to be in the company of Jack, Arnie, Gary, Tom or many other pros who paved the way for guys like Tiger. I feel sorry for them because I know, especially in Arnie's case, there was a lot of hope that Tiger would elevate the game to another level. In one way he has, but he has double bogied that away with his personal indiscretions. Sorry Arnie.

  • @psakai09

Cursing is not "flavor" you jerk ball!

    It's crude and ignorant.

How you express yourself, especially under stress, reveals who you truly are!

Refer to ChiChi, Lee T., Gary Player, Arnie, Doug Sanders and many others if you want to know about flavor.

Putting a dress on a hyena doesn't make it civilized....and so it is with putting a golf club in Tiger's hands.

  • Wow, I just lost respect to Watson. I mean, who is he to judge Tiger's behavior on the course? Everyone has emotions and without emotions, sports would be boring. You might as well stay at your church instead of having a good time out there.

  • @WhiteSuby

He can judge because he is one of the greatest ambassadors of golf alive today..and he's proved it......unlike you obviously.

  • @paulyrulo so did Jack and Arnie. Do you see them judging on Tiger? What Tiger does and did is purely his decision and Watson has nothing to do with it.

  • @WhiteSuby

Tom is more outspoken than Arnie or jack (they have been appalled by Tiger's lack of character) but I feel he is eminently qualified to do so based on his golf /personal record.

There are times and places when a respected person SHOULD broach an unpleasant subject to be sure to get things back to normal and say what is expected from the members of that group. That includes swearing, throwing clubs and whoring around, by the way. I think Watson was delicate in his words of dismay.

  • I am Japanese and have no prejudices but I think Watson is right in saying that. I have always doubted Tiger's persomality because of that reason. I have never seen great past champions hit the ground by clubs and throwing the clubs. His scandal was predicted. That's the most difference between Jack Niklaus and him.

  • ur country doesnt fare better either!

  • @patrickz218

You Moron, join all the others with that fucked up attitude...did you grow up under a rock??

Behavior and attitude is what makes you a person, or I guess in Tiger's case, and yours, NOT!

  • @paulyrulo so it is ok to curse on youtube but not on a golf course? he who is without sin may cast the first stone, where do you get the right to judge another? I have heard with my own ears, live and in person :gary player swear at a fan, and palmer swear on multiple occasions, you don't have to like what someone else does or how they live their life but give it a rest already the holier than thou act is a tired one

  • @omyfreddy22 Anyone think that winning gives one the right to bad behavior on and off the course. If Tiger didn't win then who would accept that behavior??? Tiger is a very poor sport when he doesn't win. Has he ever congratulated someone else on winning, especially when he loses to that player???? He will never be an ambassador of the game and foster the traditions like Palmer, Player and Nicklaus. Player on TGC still is vibrant, positive. a joy to watch and listen to..Tiger should take note.

  • @paulyrulo WHO GIVES A SHIT IF HE FUCKING SWEARS! TIGER DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT BEING AN AMBASSADOR TO THE GAME? DID TIGER SAY HE WANTED THAT! ALL THESE OTHER PLAYERS AND REPORTERS NEED TO WORRY ABOUT THEMSELVES!

TIGER IS A GROWN ADULT AND IF HE WANTS TO CHEAT OR SWEAR THAN WHO GIVES A SHIT, ITS NOT AGAINST THE LAW!

I WANT OLD ASS TOM WATSON TO RETIRE CAUSE HIS OLD AGE REFLECTS BADLY ON GOLF..DOES THAT MEAN TOM SHOULD DO IT CAUSE I SAID SO!??

  • @whole27 I actually agree with Tom Watson here. If no one looks up to Tiger as a role model, then I don't care what he does at the golf course. But he knows that a lot of kids look up to him, so it is his responsibility to act like a gentleman. But I must agree he is the best player ever.

  • @zuzuspedals well then you can say anyone on tv or in sports is a role model. The cast of Jersey Shore have kids watching and are role models! Every athlete of every sport have kids that look up to them so golf is no different.

I wish Tiger never had that car accident that blew all of it up and into the public eye cause he would of won at least 2 more majors by now...he would of def won that Masters where he came in fourth after that huge layoff....he keeps 3 and 4 putting the greens!!!!

  • @whole27 If you think that the cast of Jersey Shore can be considered as role model, then I have nothing more to say.

  • @zuzuspedals NO you don't understand you idiot! Everyone who is on tv is a role model by default cause they influence kids as Jersey Shore obviously has with all the kids now imitating them with all the fame they got and picking their favorite cast member, etc!

Obviously they aren't good role models but they are role models nonetheless, meaning they are in a position to influence kids! You totally missed this simple point!

Cause you said Tiger is a role model so is everyone else!

  • @Sdreg. i get your point but disagree. Woods 71 PGA tour wins & 14 majors. Watson: 39 PGA & 8 majors. Woods is 34 and Watson 60. My money is on Woods. Sorry, it's just a fact. I am not talking about helmet throwing and cussing at umpires. I am talking about trash talking, swearing at your own play. Woods does not swear at anyone but himself. Yes, throwing clubs is not acceptable, but it's an extremely rare occurence for Tiger.

  • Comment removed

  • @sdreg he said this a month before he posted on a website or his first prees conference!

  • @shawnwave Woods made his statement a week after the 27 Nov 09 incident on his website. Watson's statement hear is 2 months after that.

More than a year before this incident Watson had contacted him about his etiquette and temperment on the course.

  • Jdohe, The facts are stubborn though. There is plenty of swearing in all major pro sports and nobody cares. Pro wrestling, pro volleyball... are all minor sports. Any sport with its own TV channel is a major. Looking at Watson's career, the questions are: how many majors have they each won? And how many majors will they win moving forward? They are not even in the same conversation. Lack of competition? Singh, Goosen, Weir, Mickelson, Garcia, Cink...

  • His private business is his only and has nothing to do with golf. Watson should shut the f@#$k up. They are all making more money thanks to him including Watson. Without Woods Golf would be a fringe past time for rich white men. Watson has never been and never will be half the golfer Woods is. In fact, I like the swearing. It happens in all other pro sports. Woods will win again. Soon.

  • Comment removed

  • Watson was 2nd in the Open this year, Woods missed the cut. Watson has won five Open's Woods has one three. The senior tour was already established before Woods came along. All sports have rules and etiquette, in football a player can't take his helmet off and throw it on the ground. In baseball if a player swears at an umpire he's out etc. etc. Cussing out load and throwing clubs is a big NO in golf.

  • @RoidInjected That is nonsense. Swearing is not permitted in any other sports, including the "sport" of professional wrestling. Any wrestler that sweared like Tiger would be fired. Also, Watson is a better golfer than Woods. Woods - like Mike Tyson - was extremely successful due to lack of competition.
