@Krruuk I have no idea what EA herself wanted to imply with it, but personally I came to think of how I myself had a tendency to stare down at my shoes instead of looking people in the eye, bottling stuff up and getting sour as a teenager. The bitterness felt sort of the same as this song. Sort of hurt and angry and a million little things that has been bottled up into one huge irony-laced rant.

Except, of course, that my rant didn't sound anywhere near this good. And I didn't look pretty.

@Krruuk , et al.: Actually, "shoegaze" is an alternative rock genre characterized by significant distortion, notable use of guitar effects, and a droning, unintelligible vocal element, born in the late 80s. See: My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Chapterhouse.

I'd go so far to claim this "remix" is more "Pseudogaze", as her articulation is rather atypical of the genre's archetype.
