im really sorry to have to do this, but as a matter of fact, there is 5 squares to start with. there is 4 smaller squares then you get the 1 larger square (out side 8 matches). so all up this is a failed trick...sorry to ruin it

idk if they answer it on the end of this vid but i stoped and thought about it and got it :D ok sense it is hard to explain it i will show you in numbers: the 0s are nothing, the 1s are the toothpicks, the 2s are the 3 toothpicks moved/taken, the 4s are where the 3 toothpicks were placed 022201110 200010001 200010001 200010001 0111011103330 1000100020003 1000100020003 1000100020003 0111011103330 this would make two 1x1 squares and one 1x2, this is not spam it is simply me explaining it
