I have to admit - I kinda like this movie! You know, in a fun B-movie kinda way. Tom's an idiot, but I think the girl playing Sandy was good and well-acted for her age (she was also in an episode of the 60s Twilight Zone). And I love this MST3K version of it, especially all the "Sessions Presents!" jokes.
Crow makes fun of the milkman beatnik fellow making a big deal over $5.00, but in 1960 that was worth almost $40.00 in today's money. Kind of steep to just pull out of your wallet and hand over.
Bert made his daughter's character WEIRD in this movie...In what universe does any American preteen girl act like this? Granted, I confess that I have no idea what most preteen girls think as to regards of any attraction they might have to older men, but I would assume most of them would be more subtle about it than Sandy,
@RichterTheEternal Well, eight-year-olds aren't known for their subtlety, and you can get pretty fierce crushes at that age. I think Sandy's attraction to Tom makes more sense than her sister's -- Meg's old enough to know better!
Other than this joker playing Tom Stewart, I think William Shatner would have been a better cast to play the main character in this movie. Bill was better-looking, he fits the role in this movie and his over-the-top acting would have been more convincing (and hilarious! LOL) in his reactions to seeing and interacting with the ghost. And don't say Bert couldn't have afforded Shatner back then. Bill would have starred in any bad movie for a paycheck.
@RichterTheEternal Oh yes! I agree with you now that I'm watching this again. Bill Shatner would've been superb in this part. He would've been chewing the scenery like nobody's business. Cheers for the thought!

Love the guide dog/use of the cane by the blind lady.I am legally blind myself and it never fails to amuse me how blind folks are portrayed.

I'm also going to have to agree that Shatner would have been killer in this movie. Good call on that one. :)
Shamrock Shakes are the best thing known to humankind. I'd jump out of my air vent fort for one.

"And where'd you put my dress shoes?" Oh man, the mundane/married life references in these shows always amaze me.

Dare I say it - this wasn't all that bad of a movie. The wedding scene where the flowers wilt and the candles dim was a nice touch.

Poor Joel, Tom and Crow. I felt a similar way after watching 'Constantine'.

I really hate the Beatnik Milkman/Taxidriver guy. Couldn't help but cheer when he deservedly got wacked.

@carthaginean Phil Hartman is dead, and Jerry Lewis is still alive-go figure.
