Actually, Pastor that was preaching who was watching HBO is not false just because he was watching TV, for there is nothing wrong with watching TV, because remember Jesus came for us to live life more abundantly but how do you know it's an addiction? Well clearly it's an addiction when it's stoping you from doing something you were about to do, for example you say" I'm going to do my homework" but than you turn on the TV and forgot about it or don't feel like doing it no more, and another exam

Barbituates are very seldom used today. Tell someone who has a failed back surgery to take an aspirin. Prescription drugs can be abused but only a kook would say 99% of the time that the doctor doesnt care about the patient. Pain relief gives the hurting patient dignity and allows him to have a decent quality of life.

If you have an addiction most would advise that you should not drink. However for the rest of us the Biblical norm is moderate consumption of alcohol.

The truth of the Word is tough. I don't believe I was going to hell when I was using nicotine but I do know when I was saved I slowly changed. Instantly my spirit but sin didn't change overnight. You don't go to hell for smoking. It is slavery.

Dang that was some good preaching . I'd like to see the whole sermon on that one , I've thought of it like that myself .
