Its a little more difficult and you may have to use "backcombing" instead of two strand twists or something, but you most certainly can. Its not just a black person thing, people of all cultures have dreadlocks. I would do a bit of research on it.

@iCharmCity07 They eventually fuse into your real hair and your natural hair will grow just like regular locs. Everybody doesn't want to wait 3-5 yrs for their locs to achieve length. To each his own. It's no different than a person getting weave in their head. People are accepting of that so why is it so hard to be accepting of loc extenstions? I don't get why it's such a big deal. Everyone is different.

I use any kind of oil like carrot, olive, shea butter oil..but since it breaks my face out. I use cream base moisturizers. If your dont moisturizer you hair will break off..I'm telling you from experience. I was just like u I didnt like to feed my hair and some started breaking. But I have improved though..plus I wash every 2 weeks

Thanks. Now when she finished ur dreads did she soak them in hot water before you sat under the dryer? I'm asking cause I got mine done on Saturday night and they are still a little tight at the root and somewhat stiff. I used human hair too. Not really feeling the confidence as I should.

@ryangdel No there was no need to soak them or for me to sit under a dryer. I had already washed my hair before I got to salon. I'm not sure what technique the stylist you use did maybe thats the reason you hair is the way it is. Man U should do a video and let us see.

@ryangdel Exacttly after they were done they were soft and managemable right way but at the root where the hair had been wrapped was kind of stiff until like you ask my hair grew out at th eroot now the roots are very lose and hair feels totally different.

Before finding out the cost I liked how they looked and her technique. So I was more concern with quality of work rather than price. This is a hair style i plan to have for a while I wanted them to look good price was least of my concern.

One thing I wanted to make sure for myself is that whoever actually installed my extensions new what they were doing cause they will always be the foundation. So a little travleing may be your best bet.
