The new one looks better because it's lowered and comes with a body kit straight from the factory, EVERY car company is making their cars with body kits now. Bad thing with that is if you have electric problems you are FUCKED, if the paddle breaks on a road trip you are FUCKED, if it has a short then you are FUCKED,

So it wasn't uncommon to see an evolution IV come off the ship with a body kit, bucket seats, gauges...etc. Its only when I came to the US I saw regular evolutions and lancers and I was like wtf.
Then i asked my Japanese friend who exports cars and he said that they have to take out ALOT of things from their cars beofre they export to the USA

The new one looks better because it's lowered and comes with a body kit straight from the factory, EVERY car company is making their cars with body kits now. BMW, Merc, mazda, nissan...etc. Cars with thin ass bumpers just doesn't cut it.
We knew this since in the 90's while customizing skylines & lancers, everyone else finally picked up on the Japanese style and lowered their suspension

As for myself, I plan on building a 4.6 3v engine in putting it into this exact style mustang. We may have a strict laws, but we ignore a good chunk of them. My only gripe is that Europe and Japan are starting to adapt this paddle shifters thing... i like my good old school manual, and would hate to drive auto or even semi auto

@Texarmageddon I prefer semiauto, I absolutely love how the BMW 7 series gears are laid out. Its just one tiny ass paddle that handles all the gears (I think you gotta push it back to move from R to D, idk its been a while since I drove a 7 series.
Bad thing with that is if you have electric problems you are FUCKED, if the paddle breaks on a road trip you are FUCKED, if it has a short then you are FUCKED,
So I prefer steptronic since I could still handle the shifter manually myself

I worked in a bad city a while back and was jumped getting in my 88 trans am, they wanted the keys. As i can tell you i am also unfortunatly terminally ill and not in the best of shape, 1 against 6 isnt fair, no one stopped to help as they beat me, i reached in the back and grabbed my hunting knife. Can definitely see the kits between the two. Yet, i agree on the racing strictness here. The R32-34 were banned not only because of emissions, but of safety regulations also.
