Great Video - for my university classes we have print outs of lecture notes that have lines on one side and the actual lecture slides on the other side and I write on those, it is so much easier than having to carry around big note books, however, there is a down side, the lines on the print outs are only so big, so sometimes the whole A4 sheet of paper is written on.

I'm usually good at reading and outlining the textbook during the start of a new semester, however, as the semester goes on I get lazy and just stop reading the textbook all together! Do you have that problem? How do you find the motivation to continue to utilize your textbook as opposed to just going by your class notes?

@yourugly58 I have a lot of issue with this because it takes SO LONG to go through the textbook and then I think "Okay, this section I am reading may not even be covered in class... . What I am going to do this semester is not read the whole thing. I am going to survey the textbook. That means read the headings, vocab, & topic senteces only unless I find something interesting. Hopefully this is faster & easier to maintain. Also, I am getting a book reading stand.

@pinkangelgal2001 I can also tell you from personal experience, Asian & African parents (so anyone from "that" side of the globe, lol) really instill organization in their children. From day 1, they are teaching us how to take notes lol.

You actually take notes like I do! I love it. What I do is for my History 230 I take in depth notes then when I go home and study I go through and highlight the notes I feel that I need to know alot more. And then Im thinking about doing something else where when I highlight the notes I write them onto another piece of paper so i can just go straight down and study easier.
