Nice video and great fish. Recently went to France for a week at Etang De Villaine. Was there for 5 nights and caght 24 fish and they were all over 20lb, eleven of them were over 30lb. There is nothing constructive about these videos. From long shank hooks to short, size 8 to 4, heavy leads,light leads, pear, flat, round,square leads, soft hook lenghts, stiff rigs short and long rigs, semi fixed leads, fixed or running leads, Which worked best ?. There is no definative answer...... Why, because they don't want you to know what worked, you'll have to keep going back to the tackle shop and buy everything you can lay your hands on that has KORDA written all over it.

I used to think Danny was a cock to be honest, im now thinking he is not so bad and this is mainly due to the later Korda thinking tackle dvds. i usually fish rivers but recently took my kid to my local 'carp' lake, there was 5 guys there sitting behind 3 rods each on rod pods and alarms in bivvys putting out kilos of boiles by mini rocket things and remote control boats, casting hundreds of yards from where they were sitting, just like in this video
i sat on my bucket, got my float rod out with some bread and maggots and fished about 4 metres out and a margin swim tight to the bank, we caught 13 fish from 6lb to 28lb'r in 5 hours

His profile is also only known in the carp specimen world, unlike other anglers with TV personas, like Matt Hayes, who are renowned for their all round fishing prowess. At the end of the day he's making a very small fraction of what Matt Hayes makes with his 'Total Fishing Gear!'

@lukkbox yeh ive had a 32lb mirror from a float in the margin, but then ive had 7 30lb+ on carp fish with using bite alarms and camouing all the end tackle to the lake bed. you want more of the bigger fish you need to camou you end tackle to the lake bed. And casting leads to show fish at long ranges isn't being a cunt its being good and most of the time you will catch.At the end of the day I go fishing to catch so i'll try any method to try and catch them

im not sure but i think the trace needs to be shorter, no disrespect but that trace is never 2 inches more like 3-4 inches. 2 inches must be min. as to create a short bolt . i think you could shorten the trace even more. as for the hair it seems really not to matter the carp are taken the bait but the hook is not setting. it appears to be down to luck, back too basics me thinks. great filming none the less, learn t a lot. 10/10

Korda are great at making tackle. Danny fairbrass in my opiniion doesnt live up to his name in this video . Danny is also a bit of an extremist , i watched a programme once where he didnt fish the carp water in the daytime because he didnt want to disturb the swim.. He only fished at night. @eastonmackay ive just started looking into specimen fish and have picked up loads of great tips. Watching how the fish behave underwater is a massive help especially how that carp reacted to feeling the hook in its mouth

all this video is dumb advertising.. you dont need 10- 12 ft. poles and 15-30 pound line to catch carp... i caught a 15 lb carp on two pieces of corn soaked in pineapple juice with a 5'5 ft pole with 6 lb line... all those big poles do is take the fun out... try catching a carp on light tackle so it can test your true angling.... and skills.

i usually fish rivers but recently took my kid to my local 'carp' lake, there was 5 guys there sitting behind 3 rods each on rod pods and alarms in bivvys putting out kilos of boiles by mini rocket things and remote control boats, casting hundreds of yards from where they were sitting, just like in this video
i sat on my bucket, got my float rod out with some bread and maggots and fished about 4 metres out and a margin swim tight to the bank, we caught 13 fish from 6lb to 28lb'r in 5 hours

I would disagree with what everyone is saying about Mr. Fairbrass, I think many of you would be surprised at how little he gets paid as a consultant for Korda, it's not the type of salary you could make a living off of. His profile is also only known in the carp specimen world, unlike other anglers with TV personas, like Matt Hayes, who are renowned for their all round fishing prowess. At the end of the day he's making a very small fraction of what Matt Hayes makes with his 'Total Fishing Gear!'

@lukkbox yeh ive had a 32lb mirror from a float in the margin, but then ive had 7 30lb+ on carp fish with using bite alarms and camouing all the end tackle to the lake bed. you want more of the bigger fish you need to camou you end tackle to the lake bed. And casting leads to show fish at long ranges isn't being a cunt its being good and most of the time you will catch.At the end of the day I go fishing to catch so i'll try any method to try and catch them

im not sure but i think the trace needs to be shorter, no disrespect but that trace is never 2 inches more like 3-4 inches. 2 inches must be min. as to create a short bolt . i think you could shorten the trace even more. as for the hair it seems really not to matter the carp are taken the bait but the hook is not setting. it appears to be down to luck, back too basics me thinks. great filming none the less, learn t a lot. 10/10

Danny is also a bit of an extremist , i watched a programme once where he didnt fish the carp water in the daytime because he didnt want to disturb the swim.. He only fished at night.
