connect your addiction to some kind of sin, like vanity or gluttony if you're fighting a binge, and whenever those thoughts pop in your head, just tell yourself, gluttony is a feeling from the devil! and just invite god to free you of the temptation. its very empowering. the best way 2 make i work is 2 not let the addiction cloud your mind so much that you forget the world around you and forget to ask for help, cuzthtat happen 2 me a lot lol

If you're unapproachable, its their insecurity. Maybe. Maybe not. I find certain ppl intimidating. Mostly TALL ppl, for obvious reasons :P, but I think if someone is afraid or reluctant to approach you, it says something more about that person, rather than you. :) Id approach you & Id hug you gently. xxx

You said that you won't be accepted by some people in the Christion community. I truly hope that's not the case. If your heart is pure, God will know. He's the only one who can judge us. We should try to accept everyone as they are -just as God made us.

I'm starting a 12 step addictions recovery group at my church tomorrow =) It's a new group which has come about because of my Bishop being so sweet and caring, seeing me struggling, and knowing God can help not only me, but anyone else who has faith and wants to recover with the Lord on our side.
I believe a lot of the times I was at my worst was because of a spiritual sickness, as well as my mental and physical problems. God saved us.

I did a group like that at my church. It was called Healing Journey. I think I would like to get reconnected to a similar kind of 12 Step Group. It was helpful for me to feel the freedom to say my higher power was Jesus.
When I allow myself to be present to my true feelings ... in touch with my spirit ... I start to feel homesick for God. I don't remember the reference but in Romans it says to "call things that are not as though they were".
God is always there for you dear, the option to walk with Him is always there as well. About a month a go we spoke about you returning to church. Did this ever happen? If not, make it an option. You have been struggling a lot lately and it will only keep you further from God. It's how the devil/evil forces bring us down... but God can and will lift you UP! Would you rather be Up or down? I wanna be up!!!
Oh my glitter you guys this is so inspiring! I am going to RECOVER, be okay, heal and restore, continue to share my testimony, walk with God not disease. I must walk God's path and work with His pace on my healing. I am excited for the change and transformations he will continuously have in store for me. You too if you believe! Even though Im not religious I still believe someone is watching out for us, in your case God is.
I used to be in a group kinda like that a long long time ago, its a great thing!
I'm happy that your recovery keeps going, One step at a time. Even if you fall you can always keep going, Thats one thing that I learned from you!
