This is by far my favorite video so far and I have watched quite a bit of the daily frail's! You look awesome Patrick! Also, thanks for being the best banjo teacher out there! Frailing is so much better than rolling!

Why do you need a light slide for banjo? Most people want a heavy hard slide for stringed instruments.

He explained it once I believe as being because the banjo has a much lower action, and as such a heavy slide would not be as good as it would be for a guitar.

Just stumbled upon this oldie that I missed - wow, that's dense with material. Love how you wake up at the 14 minute mark and revert to your normal cheery self. But, yes, incredible lesson.

God I wish I could clawhammer like that! Somehow, I am always more appealed by playing picking, but the sound of clawhammer is the best there is.
