Los jacks son una castaña, fallan mas que una escopeta de feria, después de devolver un Stagg que se caía a trozos recién comprado compré este y a los 2 días los jacks fallaban una vez y otra también. TODO MADE IN CHINA. HUIR!
I like the sound and playability of the Palatino EUB. However shortly after I bought it, the A string stripped on me and how I cant tune it to pitch.
Palatino has been HORRIBLE to try to contact. No phone listed on their website. I've tried their e-mail address twice without avail. Anyone have any suggestions?
Sorry to hear about the string going bad. I'd recommend you buy a set of Eurosonic ultralights or lights. You could also buy innovation super slaps or Sensicore strings. This is where the cost goes up. New strings are about $150 USD on up for a good set.
bob could you point me in the direction of where to buy a spare bridge as I just bought a ve-500 but the bridge in broke. I am in the UK, so company would have to ship to me.
The weak part of the construction is generally the neck joint. Sometimes the fingerboard is loose and not aligned. Also the fingerboard may need to be dressed for high spots in some cases. These are generally easily fixed.
I'm interested in getting one of these basses but still doing some research on it. I know it's an inexpensive bass but is it generally a problamatic bass?
the rev solo is passive but high impedance so it's best used with a preamp like a K and K or an LR Baggs unit. The newer RS 2 is best with a preamp also.
The pickup itself has a 1/4 adaptor plug so you can patch it directly to an amp or go through a preamp first. I tore out the stock electronics that came with the basss cuz they were junk.

It depends on the quality control at the factory. The electronic are usually junk in my opinion. I mod all the VE500's I get.

Mingusfan,
Type in: SSQ boats and bluegrass You will hear the bass on stage miked through a PA system. Hope this helps. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Bob, I have a Palatino and was just wondering if the Revolution pick-up is passive or active
