  • Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary...

  • my words appear clear but true meaning is lost...

  • This guy's a genius...

  • Long Live The Dark Skin Lizard King...

  • canibus to me is one of the greatest mcs of all time his muzak will live forever i can careless who disagrees this is true hiphop

  • really his last recording? :o

  • i noticed canibus is so good, most people cant even understand his deep subject material, and his crazy metaphors and vocab, its sad, even army of the pharoahs, people dont get the punchlines and metaphors, canibus spits mind blowing freestyles and deep lyrical songs. and he never steals rhymes all his rhymes are original, you still hear alot of rappers steal pacs rhymes, not canibus hes all original its sad how the rap game is, and how mainstream rap is pretty much as nas said is "Poision"

  • @xXAZcroN420Xx canibus doesn't freestyle he spits written raps that go to any beat , canibus HAS used other rappers lines such as Nas " hip hop is my drug I even got a mask and gloves to bust slugs one love" and Biggie and Redman to name a few.

  • 1:25 Thats what epic lyrics do to your face

  • this dude the truth

  • i swear to god, every song that canibus is on he makes it fucking siiiiiicckkk

  • marvelous lyrical genius

  • Hey trooperjoe73 thanks for quoting my review of this song. I'm the author. The ironic part of my quote is I didn't even know Morals and Dogma was a book by Albert Pike at the time of writing, I was working from a lyrics printout. This music is deeper than most people think they know. You can edit the quote for accuracy if you'd like.

  • @dec2 If you are indeed the author, it was a great write-up. I think I saw it on amazon, but I'm not sure. Not just this song, but the entire review was great.

  • damnnn dude is consistantt wit this FIRE!

  • CRITICAL THINKING

  • whats good my niggaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @those that laugh lean towards the mainstream music...they could not handle the brilliance that Canibus brings to the table. They are scared because Eminem is like Clue, he's building an army of followers, and Canibus is the man that is on the Blue Team...he's on the Grid trying to survive in this messed up Hip Hop game that betrayed him.

Canibus is the better than Eminem lyrically in my opinion, and if anybody stabs me before midnight...so be it! I died telling the truth.

  • Overspecialization Doesnt Require Special Explanation The Information Is My Interpretation, I Sit Down At The Table And Make It Thru A Series Of Musical, Lyrical And Compositional Arrangement, Im Disinfatuated, You Rappers Are Overrated For The Music You Makin, It Sounds Foolish And Basic...........that shit was CRAZYYYYY

  • smh <<< this is what im doing right now guy is a fucking beast

  • I think this is one of my favorite (short) Bis track.

  • the man has got some skills

  • OMGGGGGGG DUDE IZ ILLL

  • people like Canibus and Nas should be as mainstream as Jay Z, Cus they got twice the talent, and half the publicity right now!!

  • fuck little wayne and all those wack ass fucks it all about bis vinnie paz real fucking shit

  • straight fiyah

  • Pauper means a very poor person or a person without support.

  • the 5 people that disliked this probably like lil wayne. because this music by canibus is too advanced for them. so i bet they can only handle the stupidity of that dumb ass that claims to be a rapper. "I'm as green as piss on the grass" WTF.

  • @lavabone nd, fucking waste of space and air... someone's mama should've got an abortion b4 their worthless selves started selling out... Can-i-bus is the real deal, too real for average people to feel

  • ill tune!!

  • Canibus Is Da Underground King.

  • 1+4+5+9+2+6+5+3+5+8=48, 4+8=12, 1+2= ..3........ "the rhymes is 3 point 1459265358"

haha just randomly adding :P, its just what pie equals

  • @coolasacoldsummer its not rap its HIP-HOP!

  • @TouchMulaGANG No, this is rap.

  • In response to my posting below. About the error in pi.

Technically he could be saying... "There is no second one"

  • Ever notice he misses the "One" when he sings out the numbers for pi?

    3.14"1"592653589

    At around time 2:30 ??

He makes some mistakes in songs I notice and always wonder if they are fluke.

Get retarded, has 1 major error about the sea. And in one song he says if the "Protons don't attack the retina, all we ever see is black" But he meant to say "photons"

    hrmm...

  • ill ill ill .... Bis is one of the most poetic emcees in the game... nuff respect to his flow.

  • enemicheathen saved by the blood jesus, genius and me the anti religous can agree

  • canibus he is insanely Incredable so much deepness

  • "I dont go to malls cause i dont like shoppin i cant buy clothes when the manikin's are watchin" bis is retarded

  • @hotfranks4u you kno what he's really talkin about tho right? he's always being watched. just like immortal he rolls wit a camera and takes pictures of everyone and anything in case something happens

  • this shit so hard, canto nobody flux with Bis lyrically,Pac Poeticly,or my nigg Nipsey Hussle on straight cum up music

  • the illest alive has to be the bis top 5

    canibus

    immortal technique

    jedi mind tricks

    big l

    2 pac

  • @wallet619 that's whats up

  • U 4 got immorttal technique

  • Bis kills it as per usual... Love this track man... Who's on the beat? Read somewhere it's Jedi Mind Tricks... Can anyone enlighten me?

  • @PlekzMan yeah its stoupe from jedi mind tricks check him out hes hands down the best at what he does his work is beast and beautiful

  • I sit and listen to this while tears well in my eyes and I think to myself, how could I have lived and not known such perfection? such beauty in lyricism? what kind of rock was I living under while I was a teenager? god damn it

  • @username12120 well said bro i still get chills every time i hear the last verse in no return.

  • i aint hear dis in a while one of his best and i say that bout everyone of his songz

  • Canibus got the crown hands down!!!

  • i think it is interesting that you dont ever hear any other rappers mention his name as one of the best.

  • @karljjr Eminem did it once, now he denies it cause of the ''beef''

  • @xTr3m3sT Em, nas, pun..everybody used to give him props back in the day before LL had him blackballed by homowood..i mean hollywood

  • the only one who I ever heard mention it was Vinnie Paz, but i think other emcees don't want the world aware of bis, because it would show how primitive their lyrics actually are.

  • @karljjr are you dumb? Big Pun is one of the greatest and he said he goes to canibus for advice he said he got his wordplay from canbius. Top 5 Canibus, big pun, biggie, nas, tupac

  • can anyone send me this song over email? message me please

  • I cant even find the words to describe this track.

  • This is The Trials & Tribulations He Had To Go Through, in Order To Vibrate On The Spiritual Level Hes On.. & Just Like The Other Ascended Masters We Can & Must Too, in Order To Get back Home.. ... ..

  • i could almost cry for this guy nobody can grasp whats going on here, probably not even me.

  • @narezul hes the best rapper alive, he got screwed by terrible production on his initial release so no one in the mainstream music industry wanted to work with him, so he was "blackballed" and had to go to his other job, a soldier for the us army, he is a father, an author (rapper), and a poor pauper (kind of a double play, i need to check the definition of pauper, but hes broke...) -- its written in plain english just learn how to read and check bios dude

  • one of my fav. Bis tracks... check out my video of my top 10 Canibus verses

  • Pardon the poor pauper with nothing to offer from his coffer/Coughing up a mouth full of volcanic sulfur...

ILL stuff right there. Cani's a beast.

  • I love Canibus! People laugh at me whenever I mention him as one of the greatest. People are missing out on some GOOD SHIT!

  • people are too dumb and media saturated to know anything they arent told. let them stick to j z and lil wayne thats who makes money and gets awards so that means theyre good and i should listen to them and say how "insert latest cool word" they are

  • @CrushJehovah Let them laugh, let them laugh. They are the ones being brainwashed!

  • @CrushJehovah i agree homie and people laugh when i speak about immortal technique as well man these motherfuckers are still sheeps ill have to make them wolfes by force

  • @CrushJehovah people think that because either they cant relate or they just dont understand and usually its just they dont understand these lyrical genius we have before our eyes

  • @GunzGot5 most of the time they don't understand, don't want to understand =]

  • @CrushJehovah If you say "I love Canbis..your missing out on good shit", I would imagine WHY they dont listen to you ;) Crackhead :D

  • @CrushJehovah

I laugh at people, when they dont mention canibus as one of the greatest.

  • Hes raw

  • Monstrous.

He was so obsessed with his own place in hiphop, the public eye and being misunderstood intelectually and artistically though. So many lines throughout his different tracks about it that it felt like he'd off himself out of depression.

  • this is sick

  • "If you don't like him, you shouldn't be listening to rap"

    That's a rue and sick quote !

  • to me this song says give up the cross become a tru nd livin disciple of life at least thats what i get

  • if people had brains, canibus be bigger then wayne t-pain soljia boy and any other commercial artists

  • I wish he would get good production like this all the time. He's easily the best out.

  • NO ITS A LYRICAL GOD!

  • lyrical demon!

  • Hmm shit i wonder... Canibus?

  • haha

  • looooooool i kno canibus better

  • on the describtion it states that some of this his work fails because of his hard metaphors, but how does his work gets evaluated if the record companies don't even pay attention to him?

  • Someone is paying attention. I took that entire article off of a internet review for For Whom the Beat Tolls: Hip-Hop for the Elohims, June 30, 2007

By D. Carpenter (Newport News, VA)

Unfortunately, I can no longer find the article.

  • the Father of creativity,

The Author of Mind blowing lines

    The Poor Pauper of sales.

  • Pardon the poor pauper with nothing to offer from his coffin caughin' up a mouthful of volcanic sulfer.

    lmao.

    rediculous

  • incredible shit,BIS THE G.O.A.T!!!!

  • isnt mount hermon the same as mount sion?

  • no, its a three peaked mountain in the Golan Heights between Isreal and Syria

  • i just checked wikipedia,

so that goes to show it can't be trusted

  • i can-just open your mouth!

  • can anyone send me this?

  • Why not support real artists and go buy the album? By all means, copy and illegally download all that radio crap!

  • eh... i live in Ireland probably the only person that listens to this ive looked in every shop and cant find it cuz here the only stuff u can get is all dat mainstream shit so i cant actuly buy it cuz here in ireland they dont know what real hip hop is all they have is 50 cent and soulja boy etc. dats the only reason i askd

  • You can find it on the internet and pay money. You don't have to buy it in a store.

  • greatest of all time hands down

  • dont u mean greatest lyricist of all time. aint insulting u just advancing his title lol. which he deserves. peace

  • just kill em bus!

  • aint nobody around to witness nothin!

  • this is a greattune desreves more light like mosta cannabis' spit

  • They tried to destroy him, failed, and just made him stronger!!! Canibus isn't straight heat...he's straight LIGHT!!!

  • I dont go mall coz i dont like shopping, cant buy clothes when the manikins r watching...

    ill ill

  • A TRUE DEEP LYRICIST!!!

  • unparallelled nastyness!!!!

  • the description is so true.i feel canibus is 2 smart 2 succeed in the rap.

  • he said "i MET Walter Reed (killah priest) with a rare fungus rash, i told him fuck the cash"

  • No, I think that's mere coincidence. He's talking about crashing and waking up in a hospital. 8 months later. And he refers to them and they and about sitting up etc.. Listen again, I think you may agree. Meeting Killah doesn't make sense in the flow of the story. Very good observation though.

  • Walter Reed is a army medical center...and he didnt say "him" he said he told "them" fuck the cash.

  • ooh ok thanks that makes more sense

  • After being active duty Army and now Reserve, I enjoy all the military references in his raps. Can-I-Bus is definitely the Army's best ever!

  • Canibus iz a legend..

    brillaint trak yo..

an yh i heard bou dat channel zero ting aswell..

dis guy iz 4 real man..

    ma favorite MC alongside Nas..

    Canibus 2 lyrical 4 deez fake MC'z..

    peace..

  • You would need a fuckin 100 gig Ipod to fit all of Canibus work on. This is another classic. Good beat.

  • Bullshit, Poet Laureate Infinity mixes have passed 5 gigs, over 1000 mixes, all made by fans. So get the fuck outta here!

  • "1000 mixes, all made by fans" not his work. i was just sayin, hater

  • Nigga, imagine this...to date, he has over 1000 mixes for PL Infinity alone...now, add all his other work, plus his 2 upcoming CDs, one of which surpasses 10, 000 bars...now calculate how much gigs u'll fucking need.

  • What u mean 1000 mixes for PL Infinity? I thought he only made 5 PL with the last one being Infinity...

  • "The track has 1,000 bars, in the form of five 200 bar verses, and is layered in such a way that "when you mix it and spread it throughout five channels, [you have the ability] to mix the track differently every time".On April 8, 2007, the track was uploaded, by Canibus himself, to a website where the listener could mix the track differently on a digital mixing board."

At any point, any bar, you can switch to another song, and it will still rhyme and makes sense. Thus, endless, mixes!

  • Um, so basically you are saying because he has 1000 bars of a song that's broken down into five 200 bar songs... he layered it so that any one of those bars would go with another song and still rhyme???

If that's what you are saying that's crazy....

  • how the fuck do you know all of this. rofl

  • @trooperjoe73 proof Canibus is the Greatest Emcee Of All Time.

  • @trooperjoe73 So trying to figure out what you were saying 9 months later...

Are YOU are TELLING me PL 1-5 is ALL ONE SONG and that it's made so that anybody can mix one line from one part of PL with another line of PL??? (Like start off with a line from PL 1 and then end it with one from PL 4?) In essence, making it a new mix?

    If that's what you're saying then that's UN-believable

  • @Santana2163 Yup. He had an on-line mixing board, I'm not sure if it is still working. You can find it by going to his wiki page.

  • @Santana2163 Thats exactly the way he dd it. 1000 bars that you can mix in any way and its all gonna rhyme regardless of how you put it togeteher.

  • @Santana2163 Yes, that is what was being said.

  • @trooperjoe73 ay what website is that?

  • Fan-made mixes. He has about 1600 fan-made mixes of PL Infinity. Now that right there is true innovation and artistry! U can check Bis' myspace page for a few mixes.

  • hey what do you mean by 5 PL. Ive heard someone say that before but i only saw PL1, PL2 and PL infinity

  • Okay you know about PL1 and PL2, but I think there 2 PL Infinity's...

They are called PL Infinity 3 and PL Infinity 4... they are on youtube too

  • There are 5 PL Infinities. 2 mixes are on the album, the other 3 mixes could have been downloaded from poetlaureateinfinitydotcum, but that site is no longer running. Each mix is about 10 mins long. The entire mix is, yes you guessed right, a little over 50 mins.

  • They are just mixes of PL Infinity 3 and 4 are just mixes of PL Infinity.

  • what instrumental is this or where i can find it... anyone...

  • canibus should lyrically light soula boy on fire

  • he should ghost write for soulja boy. That could save hip hop

  • nah soulja boy dont deserve canibus's lyrical mastery

  • actually soulja boy doesnt even deserve a microphone lol

  • The mannequin's are watchin'.

  • No rapper metaphorically words their thoughts in a rhyme the way Canibus does, that's what makes him significantly stand out. He knows how to perfectly word what he wants to say. Instead of blatantly expressing the overcoming of his pain, he says," I was the anemic heathen that was saved by the blood of Jesus, my only grievance is I'll never be the same again, never be able to rhyme like it was 98 again"

  • quite simply blown away im sorry but bus kills its

100000000000000000000000000000% the best of all time big l was insane but he could never spit scientifically and like just pure insaneness like canibus like c'mon who's done 1000 bars before no one hes in a league of his own

  • bus shows the life of hip hop with this masterpiece which is quite a classic

  • My favorite song off For Whom the Beat Tolls!

  • Simply monstrous.

  • If Bis ain't better then Pac or Big then he's d closest 1. Really, its hard 4 me 2 place any1 above this dude. All Bis really needs is a constant supply of microphones cos as soon as he spits, mics will be destroyed and booths will b set on fire.

  • Who was actually the best is a matter of opinion. I personally like Tupac and Big was in my top 5. Their beef and deaths made them bigger than life. IMHO, Tupac wasn't even better than Big Pun! The beef that was created, forced people to pick 1 over the other, due to coast affiliations. 1 guy was representing an entire region. 1 was doing more talking than the other, but it is still a powerful position to be in. They became more than rappers but not the only measure of talent. CANIBUS GOAT!! IMO

  • this dude is too fucking talented for this shit they have out now in hiphop!!! its like he showing paralells to "I Am Legend"

  • bis dope...period!

  • Canibus can beat any rapper in a battle if you make him mad. He is too damn good.

  • You muthafuckin right I know who can battle him face to face. No One

  • lmao yur a fag, em is descending to fuckin 2nd density. bis and his fans who follow the path of knowledge will be going 4th density!

  • 'the biomarker lit up, the labtech took the blood that i spit up..etc' is a reference to the LYRICS he spits and people and analyzing him 'she tried to screen it, then clean it'. and hydroxide radicals MIGHT be saying his dealings in the industry will be short lived as hydroxyl radicals are highly reactive and short lived..possibly.

lol i spend more time breaking down his rhymes than actually listening i think..

  • Trust me I do the same. Canibus is a force other MC's fear strictly because he is just to intelligent and he puts his words together like no other.

  • also 'the same morning can-i-bus came out, i got a text from the nsa that said they'd take me out' i think is basically saying from the first album he made hes comparing the record industry to the NSA saying they'd not help because he hasnt sold out..and the kabbalah math is all i had reference is saying he knew thats what would happen because kabbalah is defined as ''the Sephirot through which Jewish meditation and natural correspondences one becomes aware of the natural order of things''

  • I know that is a late ass response, and I'm sorry for that, but I heard the original Can-i-bus album got banned. From what I've heard he was spittin some sensitive information on the original channel zero and it was swiftly censored. He was forced to rewrite the song and re-release Can-i-bus. That is what I was thinking when he was talking about the NSA texting him death threats hell they might have. NSA=National Security Agency

Look up Channel Zero (Original,) its on Youtube.
