I believe the new Cobalt SS will have the same LNF engine.. but FWD. I heard it was getting some brake and suspension upgrades which will make it handle as good if not better than the GXP (non ZOK).
I like it! But I'd take mine with a Ls7 V8 from the Z06. Opinons are like assholes, everyone has one and they're all full of shit. That car is a styling exercise by gm if you like it fine, if you don't fine. But it shows potential posibilites with the solstice platform.
