These images of the great white shark are real. It was filmed in 1965 by Ron Taylor, which involves a 12-foot great white which is much smaller then the regular 15-20 foot white pointers found near The Great Barrier Reef. Infact, Ron Taylor leaned over his boat and stuck his head underneath the water surface with his underwater camera to get this shot.

and for the record, this was NOT shot from the safety of a shark-cage. Ron Taylor got the footage by hanging upside down off the stern of a boat, with his torso in the water and someone hanging onto his legs! and when MR. WHITE got too close, he hauled himself out of the water. and this was 40 or so years ago. one man with ball's the size of your head, determined to get the shot he wanted!

Not quite right. In Henri Bource's film "Savage Shadows" the identical snapping scene was filmed from a shark cage underwater. Ron's hands and camera are seen in the top left of the frame filming this sequence. That is not to say Ron Taylor has not taken incredible risks with other scenes. It's just clarifying a point.

Contrary to what many of u believe, great white sharks don't just bite and release us because we taste bad. Their method of predation is to bite the prey item and release it so as not to come to undue harm themselves. Once the animal has bleed out and died the shark returns to feed. Look it up...

You all really need 2 watch Shadow of the the shark-Ron and valarie taylors documentaries.This shows that many of the shark species don't attack randomly.Of course they are not harmless!I really learned at lot about marine life through watching these documentries.These poor creatures of the sea come 2 such harm,its heartbreaking to see what some human beings put them through.Grey nurse sharks look so scary but have never attacked or killed a human before.Sharks get such bad press,its so unfair!
