  • i'm playing this in jazz band and i just love this song

  • This video's been up for 3 years and still no dislikes... shows how awesome it is

  • i love the close harmonies in the beginning

  • i swear, jazz is unlike anything i've ever heard before, it's REAL. that's what i, and i think alot of other people like about it.

  • こちらの曲、菊地成孔にパクられていましたね。www.nhk.or.jp/bakumon/themesong/

  • YES! hard bop where have you been all my life!

im 23 and im SO sick of new CRAP and Metal .. i have lost my taste for that shat ... i think i found my new flavor or music (Tank from Cowboy Bebop led me to this)

  • @Lycovan Fa-ggot.

  • Heard this on KPLU the other day and everybody on the album was mentioned except JJ. How rude is that??? Trombone players (I happen to be one) get no respect! LOL

  • RameausNephew, in response to your comment about Roger Humphries: his career didn't fizzle; in the early 1970's he played in Frank Zappa's band. I could be wrong, but I think he also played with Woody Shaw for a spell.

  • 御大ホレス・シルバーとJ・Jジョンソン "NUTTVILLE"~リズム隊がグルーヴに強力に刻む!~テナーはジョー・ヘンだったか?

  • We are very blessed to have Mr.Silver with us for all these years!!!

  • this is amazing!!! gotta love the 0 dislikes :)

  • Man, Roger Humphries was awesome on Cape Verdean Blues. I don't know what happened but his career apparently fizzled after his time with Silver. He was running with the big dogs here and he wasn't just along for the ride.

  • @RameausNephew I heard that he got tired of the whole touring lifestyle. I know that he now plays TONS in the local Pittsburgh area but rarely leaves it. Amazing drummer.

  • AWW MAAAAAAAAANNNN!!!! :D

  • smoking solos from j.j, woody, and joe! gave me the chills!

  • DAMN!!! the drum feel is hot and the backgrouds are sweet too and it sounds better wen its faster too!!!!!

  • Wow, I had forgotten just how great J. J. Johnson was.

  • How do you forget how good J.J. is? That's like saying "I forgot how important it is to take showers"... @am3155

  • @chisoxin1983 I agree. Nobody ever "slid" like J. J. Johnson RIP.

  • This is great! I've heard the original recording until now. I've always had to listen to the live version. Who are the band members in this arrangement?
